Later one night, Ethan sat on his bed, his head in his hands. He pondered what to do. He didn't want to fall asleep, but he had to.
"Close your eyes, you coward. You are so weak. You can't even stand the thought of me. How petty," Dark taunted Ethan.
"Just shut up!" Ethan yelled in his head.
"Excuse me?"
"I am tired of this! I have had enough. I know what you are trying to do to me!" Ethan felt a cold, hard slap across his face as Dark materialized in real life.
"Listen you little bitch! You do as I say and don't complain! If you don't, you can kiss your weak 'friends' goodbye. They don't care about you! No one does and no one ever will!" Dark sneered in his face.
"You are lying!" Ethan sobbed. He knew Dark was trying to get to him, but at the same time, he was starting to believe it.
Ethan felt a tug on his arm as Dark dragged him into a dream. Dark shoved Ethan against the wall and pulled out his knife.
"If you cut me, they will see and know what is happening!" Ethan shouted in Dark's face.
"SHUT UP! This is your last warning!" Dark slammed Ethan's face against the ground, rolled him over, and held him down with his knee. "They won't know if the think it is you." He stated with an evil grin.
Ethan screamed and struggled to fight against Dark as he grabbed Ethan's arm and stared cutting it repetitively. He worked his way up toward his elbow, cutting deeper and deeper into the flesh.
"STOP! PLEASE STOP!" Ethan screamed as he tried to pull away.
"You will listen to me! I am done with you breaking rules!" Dark spat in Ethan's face.

Ethan knew he had pissed off Dark to much and nothing would stop him. He looked over at his arm and saw the blood pooling out. It was a sight Ethan hoped he never had the see again after last time.
Finally, Dark stood up, calmer. Ethan gritted his teeth in pain as he tried to stop the blood and wake up.
"You can't just leave like normal," Dark explained. "I pulled you into this dream, which means you can't leave until I let you."
"Please, Dark! Just let me go," Ethan begged.
"You know I hate begging," Dark replied coldly. He walked out into the darkness where Ethan could no longer see him. Ethan pulled his shirt over his bloody arm and curled up into a ball, waiting to be released from the nightmare.

Back in 2020 there were many theories on how the world would end. From the many religions apocalypses, nuclear wars that would leave the planet inhabitable, global warming doing the same, biological weapons getting out of control, viruses mutating into unstoppable diseases to the dead raising to prey on humanity, either due to a virus or just because hell filled up. Also, aliens, from the war mongering kind to the ones so advanced they didn’t see us as more than worms. And of course there was the fail proof theory that the world would end when the sun died. In a bunch of billion years give or take. Althougth some new scientist were discussing if the end would be on the take side, since when the sun started dying things would go haywire on the entire solar system and we would collide with mercury or maybe mars way before the expanding sun engulfed earth. But I digress… Now, those were the mainstream theories that the everyday Joe, who didn’t know the big secret, worried about. So, if you were to ask me which theory was correct I can tell you that I haven’t seen any little green man, at least not from another planet, and so far the sun is still shining, although it’s been only 9 years since everything went to hell, not the few billions (give or take) the scientist predicted, so that one isn’t ruled out yet. These two aside, I'd say all of them. Hey everyone, this is my first attempt at writing. I have been planning to do it for a really long time, and while this is not the one epic fantasy idea I ever wanted to write, I think it's a good one. The plan is to write an end of the world urban-fantasy series. Think a world like Dresden Files, Alex Verus, Iron druid, where magic is real but exist hidden from society meets the apocalypse. It will be written in first person in the Dresden Files style, no plans for other POV for now. As you probally alredy guessed from my style, english is not my first langague, so while google corrector helps, expect grammar errors, and I'd be gratefull for anyone to point them. The world of Delmathar has many conflicts and plots that span over the whole world and even into the war torn oceans. That’s not even taking into account that the world is a candidate in the Realm wars… but that’s a story for another day. Instead we will follow the story of how a goddess’s botched attempt of using a weak earth soul to make powerful Grafter for her mother, ends up empowering an unsuspecting little boy. The boy who is called Nosal Brownwhisker, who happens to be a peaceful little buttonless-shirt loving little Capyban. And as the Brownwhisker family tries to juggle their everyday lives on their monster ranch and hiding little Nosal’s secret, more and more developments keep popping up in the village of Pancreedy that makes life more.. interesting. Author’s notes:This is my first fiction and I understand it will suck. Hopefully you will find it to be enjoyable enough to hang around. There’s not going to be any epic world-ending fights or any stuff like that, just some shenanigans generally with the story progressing very slowly as it changes from many viewpoints. The world of Delmathar may seem funky for now so I will promise a glossary every 15 chapters. The wild touch will be updated at least twice a week, with me having no backlog of chapters. So if I get mobbed at work or get sick I will let you know in my notes on a short chapter. I hope you enjoy, and thank you for the people who support me, give me encouragement and pointers.
