《PERFECT》Chapter 1

I felt around the bed, it seemed unfamiliar. After much prodding I remembered that I was in Las Vegas to celebrate Amy and Marc’s Bachelor party even though the wedding is far away. We were drinking last night that is as far as I can remember. I suppose someone must have helped me into my room.
I slowly opened my eyes even though my body wanted more rest. I looked around the room. I screamed loudly when I saw someone sleeping beside me, I looked closely at the person that slept beside me was naked. I looked at the blob of hair that was facing me, I could recognize them anywhere. It was Nick. When the realization struck me that we both are naked I let out another loud screech; same time regretting screaming because my head hurt so bad.
“Ah, stop screaming! My head hurts!” scolded Nick who was now awake.
Ignoring his protest and my head, I hit him, “Damn it! What are you doing in my room? Get out, get out!”
“Ouch! Stop it!” he scolded again, “There has to be some explanations to all this. If you could just stop screaming maybe we both could remember what happened,” he said still holding his aching head.
“Well go and remember it in your own room!” I yelled at him, “Get out of my room now!” I pushed him while the other hand was still holding tight to the duvets covering my naked body from him.
“Alright, alright,” he gave up and got up.
“Aah!!!” I screamed yet again before covering my face.
“Damn it woman, why are you screaming?” he grunted.
“Don’t you know how to cover yourself?” I said through the covers.
“You don’t have to act innocent as if you never seen a naked man before,” he scoffed

“Yeah I have seen other men before but they weren’t ugly like you!” I snorted still covering my face.
I heard Nick grunt and to my surprised he pulled the cover roughly exposing my naked half making me scream again. I immediately pulled them to cover myself again, “Don’t worry, you are just as ugly as me,” he smirked before pulling his pants on and grabbing his shirt from the floor and left the room.
After he left, I tried to recall what had actually happened. Where is my friend Amy for goodness sake? Damn, she must be sleeping with Marc and that’s why Nick came into our room. Why our room, not his other guy’s friends room? Damn him, dam his impudence!
I took a deep breath I tried to recall again what happened last night. All I could remember was every one of us where having a party downstairs to celebrate Amy and Marc last couple months before becoming official. They were getting married in two months and they wanted to spend some time with their bride’s maids, best man and maid of honor. We all got drunk and as far as I could remember I had been avoiding Nick since the first day we arrived at Vegas. No, actually I’ve been avoiding Nick ever since we met again.
I hated the guy. He never stopped bullying and teasing me since we were in school and now even after all these years he is still going at it.
Nick is Amy’s older brother while Amy has been my best friend since pre-school. Nick is 2 years older than us and we all went to the same primary and high school. Ever since Amy introduced us when we were younger, he had been non-stop teasing me. He loved teasing about my pale skin and blond hair saying that I looked like a “Walking Corpse”. He had a nick name for me and had been calling me “Cass” as a nickname name for carcass. Damn him.

I was so thrilled when he decided further his studies at Oxford far away from home and a year later I furthered my studies at Yale. I thought after 5 years not seeing each other he would stop calling me that but instead, once he laid his eyes on me again and realized that I still maintained my blond hair he started teasing me again. God, I feel like strangling him to death every time.
Amy and Marc planned the trip to Vegas, being not only Amy’s bestfriend but also maid of honor I had to come along. I knew that Nick would be the Best-man because he was Marc’s bestfriend and Marc would do anything for his fiancé’s happiness. However, when Amy asked me to be her maid of honor, I couldn’t resist it even though I knew I would be partnered with Nick. Our friendship meant more than my hatred towards Nick. After all being said and done, Nick’s close proximity does not mean that I have to jump in bed with him. I can’t remember how this happened, my memories ended in a fuzz from the time we were drinking.
Damn I wish I could just remember. I couldn’t even remember what I did with him last night. Did we have sex? Damn it. I felt sore and something sticky on my thigh. I wiped my fingers on it and found an old blood on my fingers. I looked at it in shock. God, please don’t tell me that we did it last night and I lost my virginity to that jerk? I pushed the duvet away and saw the blood stain on the bed sheet. Damn it, I really did it with him and sudden feeling of sickness rushed up my throat. I ran over to the bathroom and threw up. I felt so sick and I cried; I regretted what had happened. I had been keeping my virginity for years and promised myself that I would only give it to my husband on our wedding night, but now everything was just gone in one night. Everything was gone due to intoxicated subconscious.
I sobbed and covered my face with my hands, I felt so ashamed of myself. I couldn’t even keep my own promise. Regret, hurt and grief, is what I was feeling all that at the moment. As I was sobbing I realized something on my finger. I was shock to find a gold ring on ring finger which I never had before.
Shocked to see a wedding band on my finger, I sobbed.
This is just perfect, coming to Vegas, got drunk, lost my virginity and then married a jerk. Really, really damn perfect, I sobbed.
My perfect life had been ruined with just one night in Vegas.
