It's cute. I like it. Tension though. Alexander and Burr weren't the best of friends and if we know anything it's that Alexander can only bite his tongue for so long. Something would have blown up. Much like his aunt Philip would have probably eloped with Theodosia. Burr may have bit his tongue and supported it so long as it made his daughter happy but Alexander wouldn't have been persuaded as easily.
