Title: "Among the Stars" (or another title)

Main Character: A 12 year-old boy (Star child; refer to background information)

Background information: -Star Children: Children or adults that are advanced; so much so that people can't explain the things they are able to do. These children or adults are dubbed as "Star Children". Why? The genetics they have aren't always understood by scientists... as they are very rare. Plus, the almost unnatural talent they possess can include healing, having a high IQ at a young age (some children joining Mensa's gifted youth, an organization for people or children who scored in the 98th percentile or above on the various IQ tests approved, around the age of 2 or 3), and talking about a "greater good" in the world (generally wanting the world to change for the better) from the time they could speak. More "talents" they have include influencing others (telepathically), astral travel (out-of-body), and cross-species communication (being able to talk to other species, such as animals). Back to why they are called "Star Children", people assume these people came from an alien race. They believe that Star Children were sent here to help create a better world.

-Things Star Children may say (based upon what I've researched): "My people sent me here."

-"I came here to help."

-"I'm not of this world."

-They say things that normal children wouldn't say and don't specify what they mean.

Story background information: -The government of the country he lives in (you can come up with a name for the country) has been corrupted for decades... he believes that he was sent to help sort out the country.

-The country's group of employed scientists want to find and capture the boy. The scientists want to run various tests on him to see if his "magical" powers are real. However, the tests are more like torture. If they do find him, they will torture him until he is dead.

-The boy doesn't want to be tested just yet; he has to help rebuild the country that's in ruins.

-The chancellor fled to a hidden location for fear of assassination (riots have been occurring in this country... the riots are against him).

Story idea: A boy wants to go seek out the chancellor of the evil country. If he can find where the chancellor lives and not get caught by the scientists, he can try to control the mind of the horrible chancellor (to persuade him to help change the country for the better). However, if his talents fail him, he will be noticed by the guards, tortured, and captured. Just as he gets close to where he believe the chancellor resides, a bounty has been placed on his head. He must not trust any people he does not know, but his good heart doesn't want to mistrust anyone. This will not bode well for him. (Have the end play out as you would like... adding characters and such alone the way.) Will the child who came from the stars save his country from the dangers of evil, when there's already a great amount of evil within the country?
