(Hyejin's pov) (a/n: 8.5 chapters with Hyejin's pov, goddamn)
We arrived. ''Hey, Hwasa!'' (a/n: that's the name they call out in the shop because of perverts) Jessi yelled out once she saw me. ''Hi.'' I replied waving. ''Did you bring your girl-'' She was about to say something but I cut her off. ''I'll be bringing her to the back okay.'' I grabbed Wheein's hand and dragged her. ''That's the assistant manager, her Korean name is; Hyun-ju but we call her Jessi.'' I explained once we entered the backroom. I opened up my locker and grabbed my maid dress. ''I'll be right back okay?'' I said and she nodded.
I entered the room again now wearing the dress. ''Oh yeah, some workers get cat ears and a tail to attract costumers.'' I quickly said realizing that I had my ears and tail out. She nodded. ''You can help in the kitchen, or just sit in the cafe..'' I offered walking out the room with her following. ''I'll sit in the cafe, that way I can see how you work.'' She said smiling at me and sat down at an empty table.
I walked around slightly before I was called over. ''Hi, are you ready to order?'' I asked him with a small smile. ''Uh, just an Americano with a slice of chocolate cake please.'' His voice soft as he spoke out his answer and I nodded. ''Anything else?'' I asked. ''Oh, um and a hot chocolate please..'' He answered and I wrote it down. ''That's all?'' I asked to be sure. ''Yeah, thank you..'' He nodded and I walked to the kitchen. After I finished making and grabbing his order I walked back over to his table and set it all down. ''Just yell if you need anything else.'' I smiled at him and walked over to Wheein.

"How are you holding up?'' I asked once I stood at the table she was sitting at. ''Well other than being uncomfortable with all the stares, I'm managing.'' She smiled at me. ''Just yell out for either Jessi or me when someone tries anything, even if it's just flirting, just- when you're too uncomfortable yell out to one of us okay?'' I asked and she nodded. ''But if I call out to you I need to yell out 'Hwasa', right?'' She asked. ''Mhm, now stay seated here, I'm going to continue working.'' I said and walked off.
(Wheein's pov)
I stayed seated like how Hyejin told me to stay when a guy walked over and sat down across me. ''Hey pretty.'' He greeted me. I just glanced at him before looking over at Hyejin who was talking to another waitress. ''I'm talking to you.'' He said. I sighed and grabbed my phone but before I could even turn it on it was taken out of my hands. ''YAH!'' I yelled at him trying to grab my phone back but he put it in his front pocket. ''You can have it if you grab it now.'' He said.
''Could you just please give me my phone?'' I asked holding out my hand hoping he'd give it back. ''You want me to hold your hand, pretty?'' He asked and I looked at Hyejin again. I saw her glance over for a second before looking back at the waitress she was talking to. Hyejin said something the to her and she left as Hyejin turned her body towards me and the guy and glared at him.

Method Of Loci
Have you ever wondered how a blind person sees? Not their surroundings but in their mind, the place most sacred to anyone. Where they keep memories, ideas, dreams, fears, nightmares and where they let their imagination roam free. We with sight, see things in still photos or moving pictures from memories, or other references that we see everyday. Framing our mind into something that's usually the same as most of the population, something conformed. We see the same colors the same movements, the same designs. We may all think differently but we all see the same, both on the outside and the inside. Not Eliot because he was born blind, never seen a thing in his whole life, that is until the satellites appeared giving him vision and the whole world new possibilities. *** Apocalyptic setting. Game-like elements. Atleast two chapter a week

The Eternal Vigil
The year is 2220, a time when governments and nation-states are slowly becoming a thing of the past. Instead, all prominent parts of human society are now organizing around the commands of three great Artificial Intelligences, owned and operated by the world's largest corporation. World peace has been achieved, and the very word 'politics' has disappeared from people's lips. Religion has largely disappeared, replaced in some parts by worshipping of the great AIs, but mostly substituted by a devotion to material goods and faith in the market. There is now a general consensus that the best form of government has been found. No, it is not democracy, nor is it autocracy or oligarchy. Instead, it is technocracy - rule by the learned, the intelligent, and the skilled. And who are more learned, intelligent, and skilled than the great AIs? Exactly, no one. The AIs will correct some market failures once in a while, but shall otherwise let the market be free. After all, the freer the market, the freer the people. Some may question how society advanced to this stage, but that is all they will do - question. Because they will not find answers, for history is no longer taught anywhere. After all, it is not a practical subject. One cannot get a decently paying job with a history degree. Society doesn't have any time for people to idly ponder about the past. No, this is a practical society of practical people: engineers, doctors, lawyers, developers, managers, bankers, soldiers, and the such. My name is Aiden Scivit and I used to be one such practical man: minding my own business, doing my job, with the faith that hard work will always be rewarded by the market...and that politics and philosophy were things thought of by idly people who leech off society. But this all changed, and here is my story, my history. Just because the stories of ages long past have been erased, does not mean that a brand new beginning cannot be created. The story is already finished but I still need to do some editing so a chapter should be released each day for a month. It is a bit political, as you can probably tell by the introduction, so there is that (it will low-key read like a philosophy dump 10% of the time, so really it's like Atlas Shrugged but liberal and worse lol). Also, I actually wrote this in grade 10 as part of my MYP Personal Project, and recently touched up on it for online publication. Finally, if you find the writing style passable and are interested in my other works, check out the one in the link below. It is a fantasy set in the Ancient Greek world, and is completed and uploaded in full: https://www.royalroad.com/fiction/35099/the-oresteia-modernized

The Boy in the Tunnel
Fall semester. 1997. At a strange Southern college, freshman Tim's eerily prescient Student Handbook tells him he's going to fall in love with 6'6" sophomore Joanie.
