Chaewon and Yerim stood side by side of their school waiting for Hyejoo to arrive with their answer even though they had some things that they wanted to share first. Of course Yeojin stood near by because she wanted to support her friends.
Hyejoo finally approached the two of them as confident as ever even though her eyes said that she was nervous. Chaewon looked down at her watch that read 7:30. Right on time.
“Good morning,” Hyejoo greeted.
“Good morning,” Chaewon and Yerim chorused.
“I made my decision. I pick--”
“Wait!”
An out of breath Jiwoo ran over to the group followed by an equally exhausted Momo and Dahyun. Jinsoul, Kimlip, Heejin, Hyunjin, Yves, Vivi and Haseul simply walked behind them but kept up with their pace.
Yves clutched her chest trying to get some air into her lungs. “Oh my god this is why I don't run.”
“What are you guys doing here?” Chaewon asked.
“The same reason... as you are” Jiwoo breathed out. “I wanted to know who... she picked.”
Yerim frowned. “So why'd you bring them?”
“We had nothing better to do.” Dahyun shrugged.
“Okay.” Yves took a deep breath.
“You may proceed.”
“Like I was saying. I pick...”
“Before you pick, we have something to say,” Yerim interrupted. “We've thought about it and we made a decision too.” Yerim intertwined her hand with Chaewon's. “I pick Chaewon.”
“And I pick Yerim.” Chaewon declared.
“What,” Momo exclaimed in surprise.
“This is like a k-drama” Heejin whispered to Jinsoul.
“Wait a damn minute so all of that hell you gave each other and you picked each other?” Yeojin looked as if someone told her they step on her pet frog. “Do you know how many hours I spent listening to you bicker and complain?”

“You guys are so cute,” Jiwoo cooed.
“How did that even happen,” Dahyun questioned.
“Well,” Yerim began.
“Kind of,” Chaewon admitted. “But I'll get over it. We'll just have to see what she says tomorrow.”
“Can I tell you one more thing?”
Before Chaewon had a chance to reply, Yerim leaned in and kissed her. She was taken aback at first then she thought that Yerim had really soft lips and found herself kissing her back.
Yerim was the first to pull away to stare in Chaewon's eyes. “The reason I stopped liking Yeojin was because I started liking you, but you were always worried about Hyejoo. So I thought that maybe if I dated Hyejoo, she would forget about you, I'd break up with her and then we could be together. I never thought I would actually like her and I especially didn't think you would either.”
“Why didn't you just tell me that you liked me?”
“Because I didn't think that you'd like me back. Do you like me?”
Chaewon thought about it for a moment then pulled Yerim in for another kiss.
“So yes?” Yerim asked.
Chaewon giggled. “Yes.”
“We aren't official or anything but we have a date soon.” Chaewon smiled at Yerim. “Maybe then things will be more official.”
Hyejoo didn't even know what to respond. She was more focused on the fact that she had been dumped twice and the girls who dumped her actually ended up being together.
“Hyejoo?” Chaewon waved her hand in front of the girls glazed eyes. “Hyejoo?”
Everyone stood there unsure of what to do.
“Well we're going to go now,” Yerim announced. “Come on, babe.” Yerim began to pull Chaewon towards the school when she suddenly grinned and looked back at Hyejoo. “Don't you just love how much of a bitch karma is?”

With that she left feeling victorious. Yeojin hurried after them, “How come you two didn't want to go out with me? I'm likeable.”
“I like your outfit,” Jiwoo complimented Jinsoul.
“Thank you,” Jinsoul beamed.
“Want to grab some breakfast?” Jiwoo asked. “I know a place that serves awesome pancakes.”
“Sure.”
Jiwoo linked her arm with Jinsoul’s and led her down the sidewalk. Yves only stood there unsure of what just happened.
“That's your future,” Dahyun whispered in her ear, nodding towards Hyejoo. She wrapped her arm around Momo. “We're going with the kids.”
Hyejoo snapped herself out of her trance feeling defeated and a bit... heartbroken? That couldn't be right. She broke hearts, she didn't get hers broken. At least that's what she thought. Yerim was right.
Karma's a bitch.

He soon finds himself living a duel life, bouncing between his mundane life as a shelf stuffer and a strange new one. One where he has floppy ears and itty bitty paws. I'm still figuring out how to go about this particular endevor and thank you for your patience.
