Chris stared down at the pregnancy test in his hands. He was waiting for the lines to show up. He was hoping for one line to pop up but deep down he wanted two lines to show up.
"I can't be pregnant. This is stupid. I know it's going to be negative." Chris spoke and closed his eyes as he shook his head. When he opened his eyes back up, he saw two lines.
"Ssssssssshhhhhhhhhhit." Chris breathed out and dropped the pregnancy test onto the floor and put his head in his hands. He rubbed his face before taking his face out his hands. He got up off the toilet seat and walked to the mirror. He turned to his side and lifted up his shirt. He looked at his stomach and sighed. He wanted to try and hide it. Yes, the whole pregnancy up until after the baby is born. He can even hide the baby away from them too. He brought his hand up to his stomach and lightly patted it.
"I'm sorry." He whispered before dropping his hand off his stomach then his shirt. He shut off the lights and walked back to his room to go cry into a pillow.
—————-
Well, hiding the pregnancy was successful. Almost successful. No one knew he was pregnant, except his parents. His stomach wasn't to big in the first and second trimesters, so he could easily get away with wearing oversized hoodies and loose pants. But, in the last months of his pregnancy, the baby decided it was their time of shine and stuck out even more. Chris was basically forced to stay home and not go anywhere.
Chris woke up out of breath. He was having some really strong Braxton Hicks the whole night and it was getting annoying.
"Baby, please. Stay in for one more day, please." Chris pleaded. Jimmy told him to come film that day for a challenge he thought of. Chris was basically forced to go since it was 24 hours in the woods and none of the other boys knew how to survive in the woods except Chris.
He decided to get up and get dress, since he would not be getting anymore sleep that day. He threw on about 3 undershirts and a Mrbeast hoodie. He turned to his side to look at his body in the mirror. His bump stood out a little but it was passable of just stomach fat. He threw on jeans that fit loosely around his waist. He shoved his phone into his pocket and his wallet. He sighed before leaving the house.
Once he got to the warehouse where the boys were going to meet up at, he stopped the car. He got out the car and was immediately engulfed into a hug. He looked up at the person who was hugging him, Karl.
"I missed you." Karl spoke and took his arms off Chris. Chris smiled and nodded. He was trying to hide the pain when Karl pressed his stomach back into him.
"I missed you too." Chris's voice creaked when he spoke, the pain taking over his body making him want to double over and cry out in pain.
"Let's go inside. The rest miss you too." Karl spoke before running off to the warehouse. Once Karl was out of earshot, Chris groaned out in pain. He wrapped his arms around his stomach and hissed at the pain. Once the pain died down a little, he unwrapped his arms from around his stomach and walked into the warehouse.

"Hey Chris! We were about to go looking for you! We thought you left!" Jimmy hollered at Chris. Chris winced at Jimmy's loud voice. He was now more sensitive to loud noises, so today will not be fun.
"Sorry. I forgot my phone in the car and I had to go find it." Chris spoke. Everyone believed it. He then caught Chandler's gaze at his stomach.
"Chandler?" Chris spoke. Chandler shook his head and looked up at Chris, smiling a little. Chris just brushed it off.
"Alright boys. Let's go to the forest." Jimmy spoke. Everyone nodded and followed him to the his truck. Chris got in the passenger seat and Jimmy took the driver's seat while Chandler and Karl took the back seat.
"Alright boys, let's help Chris set up." Jimmy spoke as the hopped out the car. Chris got out and looked around. The trees were so high in the air and there were so many and they stretched on for miles. Someone's hand laid on Chris's shoulder and Chris jumped.
"Sorry. I didn't mean to scare you." Chandler spoke as he draw back his hand and stepped back. His hands started fidgeting with the strings on his pants.
"It's fine, Chandler." Chris spoke before smiling a small smile to show that he was honest. Chandler nodded and looked over his shoulder to make sure no one was around. Then, he grabbed Chris's arm and pulled him into the forest. Chris wanted to scream but something stopped him.
"Chandler? What are you doing?" Chris asked, his voice shaking a little. Chandler let go of his arm and turned around to face him.
"I want you to be honest with me. Why weren't you here for the past two or three months?" Chandler asked. Chris dropped his head then picked it back up and avoid Chandler's stare.
"I don't know, Chandler. I'm sorry." Chris spoke, tears gathering in his eyes and one trickled down his cheek. Chandler looked down at his shoes and fidgeted with his hands.
"I shouldn't have asked that. I'm sorry, Chris." Chandler spoke, his voice filled with guilt. Chris looked at Chandler then wrapped his arms above his stomach.
"Not now, baby." Chris thought as the baby started kicking up a storm and another contraction started to form.
"You are fine, Chandler. Just tell them to start the video, please?" Chris spoke, his voice creaking as the pain started to get worse and another pain started to pulled up in his body.
"You sure?" Chris nodded. "Alright." Chandler walked back to where the others were. Chris knelt down onto the floor and covered his mouth to muffle his scream.
"Please be gentle, baby." Chris pleaded as another contraction filled his body. The urge to push grew stronger and more painful and it made Chris scream. Once he could move again, he took off his pants and kneeled onto the ground.
"This is going to hurt like a bitch." Chris whispered to himself as he gathered all the strength he had to start pushing. Another contraction started to seize up in his body, and he just followed his body commands. He could feel the baby's head start to move down and Chris wanted to scream. He stopped once he reached to ten and waited until the next contraction to come.
Two pushes later and he could hear the baby's head pop out of him. It starred to burn and Chris hissed before pushing again. The baby's body started to come out more and Chris realized that the baby was going to hit the ground when they came out. Chris quickly took off his hoodie and one of his undershirts. He laid both of them down under the baby's head and got back into position to start pushing. Right when he did, another contraction hit him and he started to push again. He panted when it was over but another contraction came right after it and he started to push again. The baby exited his body with liquids and blood too. The baby started to cry their head off and Chris wanted to hold them and shush them, but he had to deliver the after mass. He did and he felt his whole body stop with pain and he just felt sore down there. He picked the wailing baby and held them close to his body. He didn't hear footsteps until a hand met his back. He jumped and looked at the person. Jimmy.

"I.. I.." Chris tried to speak but Jimmy shushed him. He knelt down next to him and Chris laided his head onto Jimmy's shoulder. Tears left streaks on his cheeks as he looked at the baby's pink, scrunched up face as their loud cries left their mouth.
"How?" Karl asked. Chris looked at him and started to cry harder. Jimmy held him as he cried, then decided to put Chris onto his lap. Chris laid his forehead onto Jimmy's shoulder and still wept. The baby was still crying loudly. Jimmy started humming a tone and Chandler joined in. Chris started to calm down and the baby started to calm down too. Once Jimmy stopped humming the tone, the baby was asleep and Chris was on the verge on falling asleep, picking up his head then laying it back down and repeating that process.
"Just go to sleep." Jimmy spoke. Chris kept his head rested on Jimmy's shoulder as he closed his eyes and fell into deep sleep.
"Let's get him to the hospital." Jimmy spoke. Karl and Chandler nodded and got up off the ground. Jimmy pushed Chris back a little to let Karl get the baby off his chest. Jimmy pushed Chris back onto his chest and stood up. He wrapped Chris's legs around his waist and Chandler helped guide him back to the car. Once they got there, Jimmy slid into the backseat with Chris still on his lap and Karl got in the passenger seat while Chandler got in the driver's seat.
"How's the baby?" Jimmy asked as he looked at the back of Karl's seat where Karl was rubbing the baby's back.
"They're good. They are still breathing but I think they are a little cold." Karl spoke as he could feel the baby shiver under his hand. Jimmy nodded and took one of the towels he kept in his car and handed it to Karl. Karl took it and wrapped the baby up in it. Chris woke up when he heard his baby start to whimper.
"Hand them to me." Chris slurred as he turned around and stretched out his hands. Karl turned around and handed the baby to Chris. Chris held them close to his chest then laid back onto Jimmy's chest.
"Look." Chris whispered as he nudged his head into Jimmy's neck to get his attention. Jimmy hummed and looked down. The baby was snuggled up into Chris's chest and was opening and closing their little hand. Jimmy put his finger by their hand and they wrapped their whole hand around Jimmy's index finger.
"They like you already." Chris whispered as he watched the baby sleep peacefully on his chest. Jimmy smiled at the comment and watched the little baby too. They made it to the hospital and Jimmy had to get out the car and let Chris walk.
"Are you sure you can walk?" Jimmy asked as he wrapped an arm around Chris's waist. Chris nodded and looked down at the baby again.
"I can walk, Jimmy. I'm fine." Chris spoke.
"You just had a baby." Jimmy spoke.
"I can walk, Jimmy. I know I just had a baby. Let's just get in there and get it over with." Chris spoke and looked at Jimmy. Jimmy rolled his eyes and sighed.
"Alright, but first. I think you need some pants." Jimmy spoke. Chris looked down at his legs and gasped.
"Why didn't you tell me before I got out the car?" Chris hushed as he got behind Jimmy's body to shield himself away from people's eyesight.
"I'm sorry, Chris. Chandler, go get his jeans in the car, please." Jimmy spoke. Chandler nodded and got in the car to get Chris's jeans. He came out and handed Chris's jeans to him. Chris handed the baby to Jimmy so he could put his jeans on.
"I don't think you can wear them right after you just gave birth." Karl spoke as he looked at Chris. Chris shrugged and zippped them up.
"I'll be fine. I just want to check on the baby." Chris spoke as he took the baby from Jimmy and placed them back onto his chest. Everyone shrugged and started walking to the main entrance of the hospital. They got in and were told to sit in the waiting room for a doctor to check on the baby.
"Hey Chris, I have two questions." Chandler spoke as he sat down next to Chris. Chris looked up at him and smiled.
"What is it, Chandler?" Chris asked. Jimmy looked in their direction to make sure Chandler wouldn't ask offensive questions, and if he did, well things might not turn out well.
"First, what are you going to name them? And second, who's the father?" Chandler asked. He tilted his head to the side a little and waited for Chris to answer. Jimmy sent a panicked look at Chris but Chris ignored it.
"Well, I actually don't know what to name them." Chris looked down at the baby on his chest then back up at Chandler. "Charlie." Chris couldn't answer the second question because one of the nurses his name.
"I'll be back, ok?" Chris spoke as he stood up, still cradling the baby to his chest. They nodded and when Karl and Chandler weren't looking, Jimmy got up off his seat and followed Chris.
"Excuse me, sir. Are you Chris Tyson?" The nurse asked as they both made it to the nurse.
"Yes sir, that's me." Chris spoke. The nurse nodded then looked at Jimmy. He opened his mouth to say something but Jimmy cut him off by shaking his head. The nurse nodded and thank goddess Chris was to busy trying to get the baby situated since they started to squirm and whine.
"Right this way, sir." The nurse spoke. Chris looked up then started to follow the nurse, Jimmy close behind. They got in the room and the nurse started typing something on his computer.
"Alright. What brings you in here today?" The nurse asked. Chris didn't hear him as he was to busy trying to calm the now wide awake baby. So Jimmy answered.
"He delivered the baby in a forest about a half hour ago, so we came to make sure the baby is fine." Jimmy spoke. Chris jumped when he heard Jimmy's voice. The nurse nodded and kept typing away on his computer.
"Alright. I'll need to see the baby to see if they are ok, so if you can lay them down on this table, please sir?" The nurse asked. Chris gently laid the baby onto the table to let the nurse examine the baby.
"How did you get in here?" Chris whispered to Jimmy. Jimmy looked down at the shorter man and grinned.
"I followed you to make sure you and the baby-"
"Charlie."
"Charlie and you were going to be ok." Jimmy spoke back. Chris sighed and crossed his arms then laid his head onto Jimmy's shoulder.
"You act such like an overprotective brother then anything." Chris joked. Jimmy chuckled and smiled at the man on his shoulder.
"Alright. The baby looks good, just make sure to fed them, so they don't starve." The nurse spoke.
"Ok and thank you." Chris spoke as he picked up his baby again and cradled them close to his chest.
"You're welcome. Have a nice day you two." The nurse spoke as he gathered his stuff and left the room.
"I should probably start feeding them." Chris spoke as he lifted up his undershirt and placed the baby by his nipple. The baby immediately latched on and started eating like a hungry wolf.
"Looks like they're hungry." Jimmy joked as he watched the baby suck on Chris's nipple. Chris smiled and nodded.
"Also, we will help you raise Charlie." Jimmy spoke. Chris looked up and felt tears gather in his eyes.
"Wait what?" Chris asked. Jimmy smiled and stepped closer to Chris.
"We will help you raise them." Jimmy spoke. Chris smiled at him and wrapped one arm around Jimmy's body.
"Thank you." Chris spoke as he rested his chin onto Jimmy's shoulder. Jimmy wrapped one of his arms around Chris's side and smiled.
"Anything for you, Chris."

The Hopeful Project
A pair of twins stumble their way into the world of blood magic, lizard people, and cultivation powered mecha-armor. And by stumble, I mean one of them falls on their face while the other laughs. [Writathon Participant] People read this far? What are you doing down here? Escape! The chapter buttons are over there, stop reading this. No? Fine. This book is an excuse to put a world I spent around 3-4 months of my life building over the pandemic into writing. I was planning on doing the writathon last year, but somehow managed to confuse October and November. Dont laugh, I'm already ashamed enough. This book is about a pair of twins, doing twin things: calling each other names, going to school, learning how to use their blood to become unstoppable, juggernaut, killing machines... You know, twin stuff. It's like if someone stuffed a school arc inside of a tournament arc inside of a war arc. A good time, basically. I hope you enjoy it.
