•Chapter Forty•
The small bell above, jingled when Randy open the door to the diner. The smell of french fries reached my nostrils, making me hum in hunger. Randy led us to a booth, and we sat down. A figure of a woman walked towards us, I can tell she was the waitress here.
"Hello!" She sweetly greeted, giving me and Randy some kind of clipboard, before disappearing somewhere. I leaned forward to read the bold letters.
Menu.
"So, what do you want to eat?" Randy questions. I shrug, "I can't read the menu properly, my vision is still blurry."
"Don't worry, I'll order for you babe." He offered, and I nodded.
The waitress came back after a minute or so, "May I take your orders?" She inquires. "Uh, yeah. I'd like a salad, french fries and a burger." Randy ordered.
"Anything else ,Sir?" The waitress asked sweetly, too sweetly for my liking. I frowned, doesn't this woman see or even tell that he is with his girlfriend? Seriously, is this woman even blind? "Yeah, she will have, a steak with fries and a cola please." Randy spoke in a monotone, as if her flirty attitude didn't affect him at all.
"Okay." She huffed, annoyed that he ignored her, before he figure disappeared. I silently sighed in relief. I felt Randy's warm hands grab mine, and entwining our fingers. I smiled softly at the gesture. "You okay babe?"
"Yeah, I am. You?"
"I'm fine, just hungry." I laughed, before squeezing his hand lightly. "Randy, babe, I have to go to the restroom." I whispered. "Huh? Sure, go ahead. I'll help you." We stood up, and he guides me to the diner's restroom.
Once I got inisde, I did my business. I can't help but whistle while waiting for myself to finish. After flushing the toilet, I wash my hands. I opened the door to be greeted by Randy, "You done?" I nodded, before going back to our table.

After a minute or so, our meal arrived. I listened to Randy's facinating stories about his football game, while chewing on my steak. Randy has always been interested in entering a league, but he never had a chance.
"Lucy, ever wondered when to settle down?" He suddenly ask in a small voice. I raised a eyebrow, "What do you mean 'settle down' Randy?" I question, sipping my cola. He became silent for a few seconds before speaking up again.
"You know, have a stable job. Marraige. Have some kids someday, you know?"
This almost made me choke. Husband? Kids? Family? Am I even ready for that? Or even, marraige? I have never been fun with marraige and lasting vows. I always have some kind of hate towards it, and I don't know why. Probably because of mom's cheating and all.
"M-marraige?" I stammered, "K-kids?" The thought alone made me frighten. "I-isn't it too early for that? I mean, there's still a lot of things we can do in life, right?" I smiled to ease the awkwardness of the topic. "Marraige, and kids can just wait. There's always the perfect time for that."
"Okay, okay. Chill Lucy, calm down for a second. No need to ramble." Randy spoke in a soothing voice.
I blushed madly, "Sorry." I mumbled. "I am just, not that ready, yet." I added. "Okay. I understand. You know, the way you spoke about marraige, it's like you're doing something against your will. Marraige isn't that bad." I looked down in utter embarrassment.
"Okay." I mumbled, and we didn't spoke after that. We just continued with our lunch 'till we were full and ready to go. Randy paid and we went back to the SUV.
"Wanna go home?" He questions, and I nodded. After our conversation about marraige, I didn't want to look him at the face again because of embarrassment. I clearly didn't expect him to talk about it, since all he ever talks about was us and football. No more, no less. So, why the sudden interest in marraige?

The drive back home was filled with complete silence, not even a word form both of us. The second we got home, mom and dad knew something wasn't right between us, but I choose to ignore their irritating stares. I slowly climb up the stairs to my room to take a short nap, since the drive back was boring enough to make me wanna nap.
I heard Randy explain to my parents that I needed some 'alone' time. Once I spotted the blurry door to my room, I went in. Locking the door behind me, I sighed in deep stress. But before I could even make it halfway across my room, a strong force made my back collide with the soft matress of my bed.
"W-what the?"
"Hey sweetheart." He spoke in a low tone.
The nickname alone made me freeze in fright and, excitment? I really don't know. I squinted, enough to make out of Harry's face. "H-Harry?" But just as the name slipped off my lips, he disappeared into thin air.
I sat up and looked around, but Harry was nowhere to be found. Maybe it'll be a long time 'till I'll see him again. But I hope not....
My eyes widen in complete shock at what I just thought about. Is it really happening? Am I falling for the devil?
