《Hex [h.s]》Chapter Sixty-eight

The smell of black coffee woke me up, squinting at the harsh light. Grace smiled softly at me, a tray of food in her hands. The sight of bacon, eggs and bread made my mouth water. "Good morning Lucy, I made breakfast." Grace said, placing the tray on the bed. "Harry wants me to tell you that he'll be busy through out the day. But he'll be joining you for dinner."
The events of last night flashed through my eyes in color, I felt my cheeks flush red. "Enjoy your breakfast Lucinda, and if you need me, feel free to call." Grace said, walked away and closed the door behind her. Sitting up, I devoured the bacon and eggs, wanting to diminish the hunger I'm feeling. Licking my finger, I drink my cup of coffee, eyeing the new paintings that are hung on the wall.
Standing up, I decided to take a bath. Stains of dried blood still remained on my legs and arms, even in my forehead. I'm glad that I'm out of that place. Entering the bathroom, my warm feet touched the cold pristine tiles. Running the water on the tub, I removed my clothes, remembering Harry putting it on me last night.
I climbed in once it was full, pouring bath soap. Bubbles forming in the water as I splashed on it. Relaxing, I rested my head against the edge, steam everywhere. Scrubbing my arms gently, I let out a soft sigh. Where could Harry be right now?
"Lucinda." Hearing Grace calling out my name just outside the bathroom, I stood up to get my towel and to answer her. I let out a silent gasp when pain suddenly stab me in the stomach. I made a grab for the towel holder near me but I missed it, falling to the cold tiles. My fingers began to shake uncontrollably as my eyes rolled back. Vision blurring, I tried to stand, but to no avail. I let out a strangled cry, unable to know what is going on. What is happening to me?
The sight of Grace hurriedly opening door and rushing to my side was a miracle. "Lucinda! What's wrong?" She panicked, her hands holding my arms tightly, shaking it. I didn't respond for I was too weak to do so and before I knew it, the world around me begins to dim until it was dark. The sound of Grace screaming for help fainting.

"What happened to her?"
"Go and ask him for help!"
"What should we do?"
"She's bleeding."
"Call Harry!"
My eyes slowly fluttered open, harsh lights directed to me. I looked at the blurred images of four people surrounding me. That is when I started to feel that the air around me suddenly disappeared and I started to suffocate. Breathing heavily, I began to scream and one of them approached me, "Lucinda. Please. I don't want to see you like this. Calm down!"
Everything became clear in a second, the four people's faces crystal clear under the hards lights of the room. Niall was looking at me worriedly, same with Grace. Zayn only stared at the floor, probably his shoes are more interesting than a girl lying flat, screaming. But no, none of them were compared to the tall and dangerously looking man standing a bit far away. Harry eyed me intently with those green eyes of his, a hand under his chin.
I started to calm down as Grace shushed me softly, running her warm palm against my forehead. "You're alright Lucinda," She whispered gently, "You're alright. There's nothing to panic about."
"Out. Everyone." Harry snapped, making Niall, Grace and Zayn scramble out of the room. Leaving me and Harry alone. He took a few strides and stood in front of me, eyes only on my face. I let out a weak smile, "Hey-"
"What is going on Lucinda? What happened to you?"
Judging the way his eyes darken, I knew he was angry at me. I bit my lip, "I don't know. I was alright for a minute and-"
"Are you that stupid not to know that you're sick or something?" He snapped, making my anger boil quickly. "So now you're going to snap at me? Harry, I told you I was fine for a minute, I just got dizzy!" I retaliated, angry that he didn't try to understand. He hissed, running a hand through his long curly brown hair. "You were bleeding Lucinda! I was shocked to receive Grace's call to hear that you were f.ucking bleeding! I didn't know what the hell I should do!"
I kept silent, a bit scared and frustrated. Although I don't want to admit it, hell I never want to, but I know that he has the right to get angry. And I hate it. Sighing, I slowly sat up, noticing his eyes widen a bit but he helped me up nevertheless.

I reached out to touch his cheek, he took my hand and pressed it against his face. "Were you scared?" I questioned softly, tracing my fingers on his plump lips. He bit my finger gently with his teeth, sucking it. When he didn't answer my question, I didn't bother asking again since it'll only anger him if I do. Kissing my palm, he leaned forward and kiss me, biting my lower lip as my eyes fluttered shut at the feeling.
"I love this." He whispers in between kisses, making goosebumps appear in my skin at his raspy voice. "The way your body, the way you react towards my touch." I groaned, grabbing his neck to press him hard against me as we kissed senseless. I let out a squeak when he bit too hard on my lower lip, tasting blood. He licked it and smirked, I shook my head at his expression and brought him down for another kiss when the door burst open, causing the both of us to snap back to reality.
"What?!" Harry demanded, eyebrows furrowing at the sight of Niall. "Harry, Sonya has called." At the mention of the woman's name, I tensed. That woman again? What does she want? Harry seemed happy at the mention of Sonya, "What did she say?"
"She found another trace."
His eyes widen and nod, "I'll be there." Turning to me, he sighed softly before pressing his lips on my forehead and narrowed his eyes slightly on me. "We still have to discuss about your health when I get back."
When he turned around, I rolled my eyes as he walked away. That's when I noticed I wasn't wearing a thing except a white robe. Cheeks red, I got off the metal table, toes touching the cold floor.
As much as I hate to admit it, I knew I wasn't okay. Even when I stood up, my head began to whirl slightly, dizzying me. Fighting it back, I walked out of the room with my hands wrapped around myself as if to protect my body from the cold harsh world ahead of me.
Descending the stairs, I meet Grace and Niall at the living room, their faces in shock. "Shouldn't you be resting?" Grace asked, making her way towards me. I shook my head, "Like I said, I'm fine."
"But-"
"I am kind of hungry," I mumbled, rubbing my hands on my stomach as it growled. "Can you make me pasta? Or a bowl of chicken soup?" I questioned, and stared at the time. I was only out for three hours. Grace nod hesitantly, "Yeah but-"
"Great! Please make me some!" I grinned, only to receive strange stares before they left and go towards the kitchen. Once they disappeared, I sat down on the couch and fiddled with my thumbs. There was no television, nor radio, not one single thing to entertain me. I gasp silently once pain struck my lower back this time, gripping the edge of the seats.
What is wrong with me?
I stood up from the couch, hoping the pain would subside but it only got worse that I had to sit down again. I stayed still for a minute, just staring at the ceiling as I let it wash over me. Just as it was about to go away, I was forced to sit up and smile at Niall who exit through the kitchen door. "Hey." He drawled, standing a few feet away.
I waved back, gritting my teeth as the pain came back. "Hey N-Niall." Damn. Cocking an eyebrow, he went nearer, "Are you really okay?" He inquires, and I nod multiple times. "Of course I am!"
I wasn't sure, if I was trying to convince him or myself.
Please just go. Niall eyed me for another moment before he went up the stairs, leaving me alone once again. I felt tears rolling down my cheeks as I waited for the pain to subside. It was everywhere, from my back, to my stomach and even my head was aching in pain.
Please, help me. I begged silently, praying that it'll just go away and it is nothing serious.
Nothing serious.

Legacy: A wolf's tale
Follow Akascha as she goes from a beast of burden to a lovely (well more like a slightly belligerent) young woman! Note. This is a shory story (about 25.000 words) I wrote a while back in high school. Therefore, the range and depth of the story might be a bit lacking, but I wanted to share it with you anyway now that I discovered RR. Although I would love comments or constructive criticisme (as one can always learn), be aware that I have - at this point in time - no plans of rewriting this story. Thank you and I hope you enjoy! Oh and before I forget! The first chapter is rather short, but the rest of the chapters will make up for it.
