➰The room➰
Taehyung furrowed his eye brows as he followed the little girl downstairs. It was the same little girl who gave him the necklace. He didn't know what happened but after he heard the bell ringing all of his friend were gone. He realized he ended up on the living room, to the locked door they couldn't get into before when they last came here.
It was a pretty large door with an old golden design. He figured it must've been an important room for their family knowing it was securely locked and how fine the door looked.
Taehyung stared at the little girl and pointed at the door. The little girl just nodded her head, "But it's locked. Me and my friends couldn't get it open." Taehyung spoke.
The little girl didn't reply and grabbed the handle, twisting it to the side and pushed it open making a screeching sound. Taehyung grabbed a flashlight and opened it, shining at the dark room. When the little girl took a step in, the old chandelier lights suddenly lit up, lighting the whole room. Taehyung was confused why it still worked considering a century have passed.
His eyes roamed around the room only to find himself in awe. The room was filled with large paintings covering the whole room. When Taehyung took a closer look, he realized it wasn't just a normal painting, it was the whole Zamora family history.
Every painting contained an older woman and a little girl beside her, with the Zamora mansion on the background. It looked like the photo they saw at the box they found. Taehyung found it really amazing yet really scary at the same time.
He saw the little girl staring at this one painting which he recognized very well, it was Janice and Lucy on the portrait. "It's Janice, isn't it?"

The little girl slowly nodded her head.
"What does she really want? Why is she doing this to people?" Taehyung asked but the girl only looked at him. Suddenly, Taehyung heard a loud thud coming from the staircase. He was about to check out what it was when the little girl gripped on his hand.
"Parating na siya," He managed to hear but as he was about to ask, he was already back on the room with his friends with all worried looks.
"Taehyung! Thank god you're back!" Jungkook shouted, throwing his arms to the boy.
"What's happening...?"
He noticed how depressed they all looked, especially Yoongi, who was gripping unto Jimin's unconscious body and a rosary on his other hand. Jin and Hoseok were the same state as Jimin, lifeless and almost looked like their dying.
"You tell us! What the hell happened to the three of you?" Namjoon shouted, pulling strands of his hair.
"W-what?"
"On the middle of us talking, the three of you just blacked out and we tried waking you up but it didn't work!" Jungkook muttered. "We thought you were all gone..."
"But Jimin thought you were all trapped in the realm of the dead... which is why–"
"Which is why he's unconscious right now. He risked his life by going after all of you to the death realm and save you." Yoongi wiped a tear that escaped his eyes and looked at Taehyung. "Did you see him there?"
"No, I didn't."
"Then how the hell did you get back?"
"The little girl who gave me the necklace, brought me back here. I don't know how but I found something on the realm of the dead, I think I know what this key is for!" Taehyung shouted, holding the key up high. "We can save the others if we figure it out!"

"Then let's go! Taehyung, you lead the way. I'll carry Jimin and Jungkook will carry Hoseok." Yoongi instructed and looked at Namjoon who was already picking up Jin on the floor. "Let's end this shit."
They rushed downstairs with Taehyung's lead and down to the large door on the living room. Taehyung inserted the key and sure did, the door opened wide revealing the same room he saw at the other realm only this time, it was more old-looking and the paintings were almost rotting up.
The three of them looked around, somewhat creeped out at the newly found room. Namjoon realized as soon as he saw all the portraits, "It's just like what it said on the newspaper. No husbands and only the daughter and the mother is present."
"We need to find out why, I hope this will end everything." Yoongi muttered and stared at Jimin's unconscious face. "Don't worry Jimin, I'll save you."
"Hyung! Something's wrong with Hoseok! He's been shaking a lot!" Jungkook worriedly uttered and set him down on the floor as the said boy continued to tremble.
"Oh no, we have to figure this out faster." Namjoon panicked and also lied Seokjin down to the floor. He asked, "Taehyung, where is Janice's portrait?"
"Over there hyung!" The two ran to the painting and stared at it, leaving the other two to watch out for the others.
Namjoon went to the neighboring portrait and put on his fist, knocking on the wall. He went back to Janice's painting and did the same. Then he started touching the wall and the painting. Taehyung looked at the older weirdly, "What are you doing?"
"It's just a hunch but I know there's a room on the other side of this painting. When I knocked on that other portrait, it was shallow and sturdy but in this wall, it wasn't. It was loud and echoey which means there's space behind it." Namjoon continued to roam his hands on the wall. "I'm just looking for something that might open up a secret wall to the other side."
"There's a small dent here at the corner..." Taehyung pointed out not realizing why until it popped into his head. "Hyung! Let's try pushing it!"
Namjoon nodded his head and pushed the painting as hard as they could until the heard a tick sound and the painting flipped over, revealing an abandoned nursery at the back of the painting, just like what Jimin had said before.
"Why is this here? Did Janice liked to play in here or did her parents just built a secret playroom for her?" Taehyung furrowed his brows, head slightly popping into the room and used his flashlight to glisten at the place. He scrunched his nose up at the horrible stench.
"I don't think it was neither of those," Namjoon spoke. Yoongi and Jungkook was curious enough to looked at what they just have found. "I think they were trying to hide somebody in there away from the people. And we need to find out who..."
Taehyung and the others gasped when they saw at the back of the painting, was another painting of Lucy Zamora with another kid beside her, a little boy. "...this boy was."

Ph. D. In Sorcery
Follow Anastasia, the unlucky physicist turned wizard, as her reality gets turned upside down and she is plunged into a world of gods, magic, swords, and adventure. Short and sweet description, anything more would be a spoiler and I detest those. Now, what you can expect from reading: This is my first time writing, or better said allowing someone else to read that mess so don’t raise your expectations too much. Still, I will try to keep the story flowing, while also devoting as much time as I can to editing. In my opinion, the story is written at a faster pace than normal with time skips here and there. I will do my best to not allow the faster pace to ruin the story by using those time skips to raise the skill of the main character. I am mainly looking for feedback while I test myself in new and unexplored waters. I did put a lot of thought into worldbuilding and the magic system, it is something that has been mulling inside my head for years before I sat down to write anything down. First and foremost I am an engineer and not a writer. I will try to do my utmost to make the world logical and consistent, but sometimes I might not express that in a way that’s clearly understood. I have a rough outline with several possible endings, but the story will change and evolve as I do. But in case I have to stop for whatever reason, the story will get an ending. It will be done even if I have to send coded messages from a bunker. I am a big fan of the Dresden Files so you can be certain that everything mentioned will in most cases be used, with a few red herrings sprinkled in the mix. But that also means I will enjoy putting the main character through the meat grinder while I eat popcorn and laugh from my evil lair. Physics, and to be more precise electromagnetism, quantum field theory, general and special relativity are very interesting topics for me that I research in my spare time. That means that the premise of the story will be using that research to bring logic to magic. Stupid I know, magic is magic, but to me, there is no reason why there shouldn’t be a concrete set of rules there. But it is still magic and that allows me to play with some things that shouldn’t normally be possible. I will focus on evolving the main character and having her react as anyone normal would, from my perspective. There will be scenes of battle, gore, and sexy times, but I will not go into too many details, counting on your imagination to fill the gaps. There will be plenty of combat, even battles ranging from a few dozen, a hundred, and thousands of participants. I could go on but there isn’t much to say that would convince anyone to read, either you thought the title was cool or you liked the poster. Or not, but after several days in photoshop, that’s the best I could do. And the title was originally Sorceress with a Ph.D. The new one makes a little less sense but I like the ring of it more for some reason. I just hope someone enjoys what I write as much as I do. In the end that is the reason, I am doing this, because I enjoy putting my thoughts on paper and seeing the outcome. Credit for the art: https://www.artstation.com/artwork/e0o8nw
