《To Be A Dad (Irondad and Spiderson)》12:A New Project

"Sir it seems like you have palladium poisoning." Tony kept replaying JARVIS' words in his head.
He was poisoned.
He had limited time.
He had a son. God this was a mess and just when he thought he would be alright.
"JARVIS? How do you feel about being human?" Tony had played with the idea for a while, more precisely ever since he came back from Afghanistan. He couldn't do it without JARVIS' input on it though.
"Sir?" For the first time since he was created, JARVIS was confused. What did Tony mean by a human? Of course, it was something that the AI had been thinking about as well. It was the one thing he has been lacking, a human experience, and has always wanted to speak his idea but feared to be shut down.
"I need someone to look after Peter, J, " Tony paused, looking at one of the cameras as if he was looking straight at JARVIS. "I don't know if I'm going to survive this, I'll try, you know I will. But if I don't, I need you to look after Peter. I trust no one as much as I trust you. You, Buddy, have always been there and without you, I think I'd be lost. You're basically a human without the body, and I'm incredibly proud of your progress but if you wish you to stay like this, I understand."
JARVIS kept his camera on his creator and looked over his vitals, trying to see Tony was lying. The AI looked to the one-year-olds room. Peter slept soundly in his crib. He stayed silent for a few more minutes watching his creator and Peter.
"What shall I name this new project Sir?" Tony smirked.
"I'll let you name it J, consider it practice for the future."

______
"Sir Peter has woken up and he seems to be grouchy," JARVIS spoke an hour or so after they started their new project.
Tony chuckled and got up. "Keep researching J, I'm gonna go see what's wrong with the little one." Tony left the workshop, quickly heading up to Peter's room, where the baby was sitting in his crib, tears running down his cheeks. "Hey, bud, what's wrong?"
Peter looked behind him and instantly stood up and made grabby hands at him. Tony picked up the kid with ease and held him close. "Dada?" The boy mumbled, nuzzling into his shoulder and grabbing on to his shirt. Tony could only guess Peter had another nightmare and was worried about his dad.
Tony could only cuddle the sweet baby and hope that he would be alright.
_______
Drinking and partying had always been part of Tony's life and now that he was potentially dying he could only think of partying away his problems. The mistake was leaving Peter alone upstairs, where the child could hear all the noise and wonder where his daddy was.
Jarvis had never been irritated, wasn't human enough to feel emotions but seeing Peter, crying, and asking for Tony, he realized that he was feeling anger for the first time. And even more surprising, it was towards his creator.
"Peter," he spoke softly, not wanting to scare the child even more than he already was. "Try to go to sleep." he spoke again once he realized Peter had calmed down. He dimmed the lights and soundproofed the room.
"Jar?" The baby whispered, hugging the blanket he managed to get from Tony's room. JARVIS now felt frustrated at the fact that he couldn't comfort the boy, he could only speak to him and try to lure him to sleep. He half considered using the body he and Tony created down in the lab, but he knew that it wouldn't support his system yet.
"Yes, Peter?" The boy curled up, hugging an Iron man plushie and hiding under his blankets.
"Story?" Peter asked and JARVIS continued the tail Tony never finished.

Asturian Warbringer - A LitRPG on Earth
Currently releasing 5 chapters a week Luke Kells liked only one thing about himself: his green eyes. He hated getting bullied, hated being poor, hated being an orphan, hated his weakness, hated the government, hated his life. If someone had given him a button to push and kill everyone but him and his granddad, he would've done it without a second thought. Then, one day, after fainting during a beating, he woke up with memories that would change his life. Magic, martial arts, how to craft special artifacts; he knew it all. Anyone would’ve taken that path to glory at once. However, he had to deal with a lot on his plate first. To even begin walking that path, Luke first had to deal with his own psychological issues. Almost two years of brutal bullying that was akin to torture and no support from the school staff of the police had left him with a broken soul. Before even realizing he could be rich or powerful, he had to bring himself out of the mental hellhole he found himself in. Oh, and his memories also told him the Sentinel Tower would change reality in six months to protect the planet from the Demonic Horde. But that wasn’t as important as not making the local bully angry, right? A story about personal growth, overcoming obstacles, and reaching absolute glory at the end of the path. This is a slow-paced, character-centered story. If you want something faster paced, filled with almost immediate and nonstopping action, check out my other novel: Modern Awakening - A cultivation, LitRPG, apocalyptic novel. On a fateful summer morning, the Vancouver Island town of Ladysmith, British Columbia, Canada finds itself and its very residents thrust sideways from the world they know to the medieval Pactlands: a world ruled by a shadowy council of mages and governed by the laws of steel and influence. Cut off from their own world, the residents of this small cottage town are thrust knee-deep into the political, humanitarian and martial turmoil suffered by the residents of the Free Lands. Staring down the threat of the Vectoran claimant force, the hidden machinations of the High Magus Council, and desperately seeking the allies and resources they need to maintain their way of life, the residents of Ladysmith must use everything they have at their disposal to survive and claim their own place in a world they were not born to.
