《To Be A Dad (Irondad and Spiderson)》20: Surgery

Tony sighed as he mentally prepared himself for surgery. Stephen walked in frowning at the worried look in Tony's eyes. "Tones you know I'm not gonna let you die right?" The genius looked up at him, watching the doctor smirk a bit. "First and foremost I'm the best surgeon around and secondly, Peter needs you and I'll try my best to keep you with him. So don't worry, I'm not gonna let you die." Tony smiled, standing from the bed to walk to the talker man. He surprised the doctor by hugging him, and Stephen, for the first time in a long time, hugged back, praying he would do a good job and give Tony another day with his son.
"Alright, asshole, let's get ready for this." Stephen laughed and nodded, letting go of the smaller man. He left the room and got ready, walking into the room an hour later. Tony laid with his arms out and the other doctors in the room prepped him. "I trust your doc," Tony spoke before they gave him anesthesia.
Stephen smiled softly under his mask. "Don't worry Tony, I got you." Stephen was very focused during the whole thing, he was for once nervous but he didn't let it get to him. Stephen saved many lives and even though it never truly, truly mattered to him, he did care for Tony. Always had, what Christine called a crush, on Tony. And even now he had this crush and he was, in a way, honored to help Tony.
So an hour later, he was pulling out the last shard, and looking up to the window, pepper and Rhodey smiled, relieved. He closed Tony up, hoping to never see Tony in an operating room again.
He left and washed up, deciding to call it day and go see Tony, who was waking up from the anesthesia. Pepper and Rhodey we're already there, Rhodey holding Peter, who looked at his father worriedly. Tony smiled sleepily, stretching his arms out and taking his kid from his best friend. He turned to Stephen, who smiled at him. "Thank you."

"I'm happy I could help, I also hope we keep in touch?" Tony chuckled and nodded.
"I'd be disappointed if we didn't." Stephen then got up and grabbed a clipboard that was near him.
"Anyway, in order to recover you need to try and not do anything that can make your heartbeat father than normal if you start to feel any pain then please come back and talk to me. This is very serious Tony, we got all shards out but there is always a possibility that something else went wrong, so please just call me." Tony nodded.
Stephen was started by small arms wrapping around his leg, looking down he smiled when he saw Peter smiling up at him. "Thank you!" He giggled.
The tall man picked Peter up, hugging the child. He missed the blush and smile that spread across Tony's face.

I Have Even Read the Rulebook!
As all stories begin, Prof died. Yes, truck-kun had something to do with that, but also a bird, a cat and some rebar. When he was presented with with the opportunity in the Afterlife Administration Bureau to be transmigrated into a game-like fantasy world, he did something, no one ever did: he read the Rulebook. Follow Prof on his road to be rich without working, touring a whole new world without a care and witness his realisation, that despite having read the Rulebook the folks living with the System for untold millennia know more about the rules. Important notes: 1, I'm not a native speaker, so be prepared for occassional typos, iffy grammar and maybe awkward sentences. The spell check was running, when I wrote the chapters, but it works in strange ways... If you point out mistakes, I will try to correct them 2, Scheduling will be two chapters a week, posted Saturdays before noon (CET). Depending on how much new chapters I can write consistently there will be probably more but as long as I have leftover chapters, the two per week will be posted no matter what. Chapters will be around 1500-2500 words as MS Word counts it. 3, I did not and will not post this novel on another site, if you find it somewhere else, please inform me 4, The Main Character's progression is slow, there will be no Levels, Skills, Abilities, Feats, Perks and Cheat Powers raining down on him 5, I've put Comedy as a genre because of my writing style not because the novel is a comedy per se. On the other hand, Traumatising Content is there because there is a lot of speciesism - those Elves are not nice people. 6, I put a lot of pop-cultural references into the chapters, try to find them! Enjoy!

The Core of a Factory
An abandoned steampunk arms factory, in the middle of a conflict torn former state of the Empire it served, gains a soul. This transforms it into a Lord, capable of turning land into power. Beset by enemies on all sides it must figure out how to win the war its creators lost a century ago. This is a progressive Dungeon Core novel (which is to say the core will progress and expand in scale, eventually) across multiple dimensions with different characteristics (e.g. steampunk, magic, mythological). It has rationalist leanings (paragraphs of reasoning) and litrpg leanings (there are stat blocks). The core game mechanical idea is something like "what if different flavors of magic power actually did come from controlling land" and then the story is: "what if there was a flavorless (artifact deck) dungeon core". Chapters will be relatively short (my aim is that in three column format each would fit on a wide screen monitor), the first few chapters - setting up the main character and mechanics - are currently the longest in the entire series. I write chapters in blocks, and then release them one a weekday (M-F; 6 PM GMT, unless RoyalRoad's publish thing screws up) until I run out. There may be a few days of gaps here and there if someone finds an egregious error I have to re-write around or if I am behind. In general though one can read this once a weekend. I may do slight retconns and edits, I'll make sure to put it in an authors note if I do.

What happened in Vegas - English version
Part I(Completed story Part II - coming soon)Hesitantly, I turn my head and look at the other half of the bed. Spellbound, I stare at the back of a man with black hair. The image of Elvis flits through my mind and I swallow dryly. What on earth has happened? I look at the body beside me and my heart beats a few beats faster than normal. Broad shoulders, his back muscles clearly defined and pale flawless skin. His raven hair shines and the sun casts a soft light on his body. My fingertips begin to tingle. A feeling of re-membrance settles over me. My body remembers this man. But I don't know him.Smut and boyslove. Don't like it. Don't read it.The characters belong to Cassandra Clare. The content of the story is mine. Copying is expressly prohibited. English is not my first language. Errors may have occurred in the translation.
