《To Be A Dad (Irondad and Spiderson)》25: Peace is Over

"Dad! Dad!" Five-year-old Peter Stark shook Tony at seven-thirty in the morning.
"Your son's awake," Tony mumbled to his boyfriend of two years. Stephen smiled a bit.
"Before nine he's yours." Tony sighed but smiled as he opened his eyes to meet the soft one of his lover.
"DAD!" Peter screeched as he jumped on the both of them. The two adults huffed but smiled.
"Yes, Petey pie?" Tony asked, grabbing the child and tucking him under his arm.
"Someone's here! They have a cool car and he has an eye patch. Can we go to meet him?" Tony and Stephen looked at each other before Tony rushed to get up.
He should've known that Fury wouldn't leave him alone. He sighed, two years of laying low with only his family to come to visit him was amazing. Seeing Peter grow and watching him change into an even sweeter little boy, just makes him so happy.
He quickly brushed his teeth and changed before walking downstairs. Jarvis sat at the table, hologram in front of him as Fury sat across from him and Natasha stood behind him. He glared at her, the last time they met was not under good circumstances. "Nice home Stark." Fury spoke, standing to meet him.
"What do you want?" The man kept wandering around the home, noticing the legos and mess of toys in the living room. He was almost surprised by how much of a home this place looked like.
It was clear that Stephen was here offen, his tea mug was in the sink, next to a red sippy cup. Jarvis had books, cooking and different stories along with children's books lying around, on the table, or outside near the swing chair. Tony had tools on the counter, clearly trying to fix the sink at one point.

But the place was home. Child drawing on the fridge, a table for seven in case the rest want to come over for dinner, all of this just resembles a safe and happy home. Maybe he read Tony wrong.
"I'm assembling a team," Tony smirked.
"You can't afford me." Fury looked at him. Or maybe not.
"The world is in danger and we need all the help we can get. You can't keep your son safe if there is no earth to keep him safe on. It's your choice Stark." Natasha made a move to get closer only to stop when Jarvis stood.
"Jarvis?" The AI looked over at him, keeping tabs on Natasha.
"Yes Sir?"
"Call Pepper and tell her we're gonna need her to take care of Peter. Oh and make flights for New York.
"Right away Sir." Jarvis walked away. He also got the suits ready. He could tell it was gonna be a long day.

The Mortal Acts
The Mortal Acts is an epic progression fantasy with a lower focus on training aspects and a great focus on discovering new ways of using powers intelligently. I've always been drawn to stories where characters use their powers creatively to overcome opponents and obstacles, and I think all the possibilities can provide a great playground for twists and turns. It's inspired by a variety of media, including Will Wight's Cradle, Hunter x Hunter, and Bioshock, so if you like the creative power use elements from those, come check it out. This is my first serial, and please feel free to leave comments and feedback. For backstory, behind-the-scenes, and other fun stuff, come chat on my discord! Desperate to find a cure, he travels to Severance Frontier, a desolate land haunted by hordes of ghosts, witches, and demons collectively called the Deathless. But a miraculous cure doesn’t magically fall into his hands. Things are worse in Severance Frontier than Riven had assumed. Ghosts are banding together into armies, demons are kidnapping anyone who strays out of settlements, and witches are enslaving everyone left and right. Riven, of course, gets embroiled in the mess. Missions to curb the Deathless activity are one thing, but when it starts to look like this is just the beginning of a war that extends beyond the mortal realm, Riven has a hard time focusing on why he came to Severance Frontier in the first place. His mother is inching towards death with every passing day, but if he doesn’t face down the Deathless, what little civilization the Frontier holds will be overrun and destroyed. Thankfully, it looked like the Deathless might just hold the secret of the elusive cure.
