Summary- Peter and his parents decide to go away to the woods and stay in a cabin.
(Third Person P.O.V)
Peter was always fascinated with the night sky, he couldn't explain it but he loved it. Even though there were monsters and aliens out there, he loved it.
-
The 8 year old woke up at some point in the night. Peter looked outside and saw a clear sky, the stars shining brightly down on them and the moon casting a shining glow all around. He smiled brightly at the view.
He jumps out of bed and goes down stairs. He spots his dad sat at the table, eyes scanning over the obviously boring work he has to get done.
When Tony hears a creak of the floorboard, his eyes cast upward to see his son standing in the doorway, a sheepish smile spread across his still baby face.
"What's up Pete? Why aren't you asleep, it's late" Tony asks, a little concerned as to why his eight year old is still up.
Peter walks forward and sits onto the sofa, he brings his legs up to his chest and wraps the blanket, that is draped idly over the sofa, around himself.
"The moon woke me up" Peter says, his voice holding innocence and making it seem as though it wasn't very confusing for the billionaire to understand what he meant.
"Oh, well are you okay?" Tony asks, standing from his seat and moving to sit beside his son and pull him close into him.
Peter cuddles closer to him and looks up, a smile suddenly breaking across his face as a thought crosses his mind.
"I'm okay dad. But can we do something?" He asks, looking at his dad with his puppy eyes, knowing his dad won't be able to say no.

Shaking his head with a laugh he ruffles Peters hair and says "Go on Petey, what are you thinking?"
"Can we go out" Peter asks, casting his eyes to look at the calmness of the dark.
-
Peter still had his pajamas on as he refused to take them off as he claimed they were comfy. So to make sure he stayed warm, Tony had given him one of his MIT jumpers, which hung loosely on him, nearly swallowing him whole.
When he had put it on, he threw his arms up slightly and smiled like a madman to his dad, who in turn looked on confusingly to his son.
"Sweater paws" Peter mumbled happily to himself.
Tony's heart filled with love and pride as he looked at his son, who was still playing with the sleeves of his jumper.
"Come on then kiddo. Let's go see the moon and stars."
-
They stepped out into the dark night, but it was still bright, from the glowing moon above them. Peter couldn't stop the smile as he felt the little gust of wind blow against him, almost like a welcoming to him.
Tony looked down at him, feeling Peters hand tighten onto his.
Tony could see the huge smile on Peters face and he couldn't stop his own.
He understood why Peter loved the moon and stars so much, it wasn't often that they would be able to see the stars and moon properly with clouds and light pollution.
But out here, it's calm and peaceful, like with every gust of wind it was able to blow away your fears and leave your mind blank.
"Let's go explore yeah" Tony says to his son, who looks up and nods eagerly.

After about half an hour of roaming around Tony checked the time, having forgotten to do so before leaving.
A smile touched his lips as he saw the sun would be rising soon.
Without saying a word to Peter he started leading him to the perfect place.
-
After walking for a little, and admiring the beauty that lies within the darkness they came to a stop. Peter's eyes grew wide as he saw it was a cliff edge, leading into the valley below.
Peter could just see the sun peaking out from below the valley.
He looked to the moon, that was still there, along with the stars, that were slowly disappearing along with the night sky.
He waved goodbye to the moon, and said a small farewell to the stars as he sat beside his dad on the edge of the cliff, legs dangling over the side and kicking them back and forth, feeling joy spread throughout his body.
Tony kept a tight grip around Peters shoulder not wanting him to topple over the edge.
As the sun rose, turning the sky pink and orange, it was as though peace was washing over them again, just like when stepping into the night.
The light shone on their faces, heat travelling with it and warming them up.
They both stayed silent as the sky turned all different colours, the sun slowly moving through the sky, leaving a trail of light in its wake.
Tony was happy, normally when he was to see a sunset, he would be exhausted and not enjoy it. But out here, in the air with his son beside him, looking into the valley and the scenery around him, he couldn't help but feel amazing, and refreshed.
He kissed Peters head carefully pulling him in a little tighter.
Peter loved the stars and the moon.
Tony loved the sun.
Two opposites making the perfect duo.
