T.W- Blood.
Summary- Who does Peter think as his hero. (?)
(Third Person P.O.V)
When Peter was younger, and he would play with his friends. They always had action figures and superheroes. Always playing with them, but of course Peter didn't mind, he loved playing with them.
When one of his friends asked who his favourite superhero was, he would always reply with Iron man.
Not because of his dad, no, it was because he found his suit so cool.
-
As Peter began to grow up he started to learn the difference between heroes and villains. That some villains, had no power, instead they were just pure evil. Some could argue that was their power.
But the same applies for heroes, some have no power. Some don't save the world, but Peter always believed that if you were to help one person, then to them, perhaps you would be a hero in their eyes.
When someone asked yet again, who is favourite superhero was, he said Iron man.
Again, not because of his dad, but more so because he didn't have any special powers.
-
The cry echoed around the room.
The nine year old sat there, chains holding him against his will. No matter how hard he pulled, cried or begged, they wouldn't relent.
The blood dripped down his ripped shirt, the cuts burning and stinging him. Peter wished he was anywhere but here. He didn't understand why someone would want to take him, and yet here he was.
Tears dripped down his face as his eyes scanned the room. The damp smell swarming his senses and the darkness dulling his vision. A light bulb swung above him, casting an almost non existent yellow glow over everything, every now and again flickering and making the whole room invaded with the darkness.

Just as his eyes had begun to droop with exhaustion and sadness, a familiar sound filled his hearing.
This made his eyes shoot open and look to the door with hope.
As if knowing the hope, the door is flung off it hinges from a bright blast.
At the foot of the door stood iron man, Peters dad.
Iron man ran forward and broke off the chains, pulling Peter into him.
"I'm here now." Iron man said to his son. Peter clung closely and let tears fall freshly down his face.
Once again, someone asks who his favourite superhero is. And once again he says Iron man.
Not because it is his dad, no. But now because he saved him from the bad men.
-
The men surrounded Peter, all taunting and kicking him.
Peter knew they were bad men, they had scowls on their face and they reminded of the men who had taken him when he was nine.
He was eleven, he had to be braver. But with every punch, and every kick and insult. He cowered down more and more.
The pain was unbearable, both mentally and physically.
He wanted so desperately to be saved, saved by his hero.
"Peter." He heard one of his tormentors say.
The blows became harsher and harsher, as tears fell and his mouth opened, allowing a scream to rip through his throat.
"Pete, wake up." He heard someone say.
He didn't seem to understand what was happening and why he was being told to wake up, he was awake. This, this pain was too real to be a dream.
"Petey." He heard, and this time his eyes flung open, tears falling steadily down his face.

Tony his father was right there, pulling him into a hug and holding him close. Peter cried into his shoulder as he remembered all the pain in his dream.
Tony whispered things, soothing his son and holding him closer. Unmoving until his child was calm enough to pull away.
The next time someone asks who his favourite hero was, he looked up with his eyes glossed in tears and said his dad.
Not because he was Iron man, but because whenever he had been in trouble, his dad was there to save him. It is his father in the suit, he is the one that makes all the choices. Iron man is the name of many kids heros. But to Peter, it was Tony Stark, his dad. Because his dad didn't always wear the suit, and yet he had always been a hero to Peter. It just took a while for him to work it out.
