《Angel's Trumpets》6 | sacrifices

Please tell me I'm wrong. I don't want this.
"What do you m-mean? I did nothing...at all." the confused and scared male blurted, backing off step by step as Lauren slowly approached him. "Then tell me why you were so upset." she replied in an icy manner. Her tone was seething with rage, but she managed to keep the noise down. Aiden hanged his head low and gazed down at his shoes. "I'm sorry." he whispered, his voice so soft it was almost unheard.
Lauren swallowed hard. How could this be happening? Her childhood friend ordered someone to kill...her father? Rich people...
"Do you know what you just say? You have 3 seconds to take it back. Come on, Jay!" she cried, holding three fingers up. One by one, they went down, but she didn't receive a single word. "What the heck?" she mumbled, a tear trickling down her cheek.
"Y-You were depressed about s-something else, right? It's o-okay, tell me about it. I'm sorry for being rude to you b-before, just...tell me you didn't..." she reached for his hand. Her watery eyes were desperately searching for a different answer but to her dismay, there was none. "I'm sorry...I wasn't in the right mind. As soon as I realised what I did, I lost it and just...ran out." he explained, pushing her hand away.
He started coughing. "A-And my health condition isn't good too, so you know," he pressed his palm against the wall to steady himself. He spat blood out and wiped it with his hand. "H-Hah, I've been s-stressing out a lot." he shut his eyes close, waiting for Lauren to speak, but she didn't. "Just report me to the police." he sighed as a trickle of crimson liquid dropped from his mouth.

Lauren bit her lip, staring hard at the floor. "No." she gritted her teeth. "I promised myself, actually." she croaked, her voice sore. "I'd kill the murderer. And yes, the killer's not exactly you, but if you didn't exist...my father..." she told him while rubbing her eyes aggressively. "He wouldn't have been dead, you idiot!" she exclaimed in agony. "I don't want to hurt you, Jay. I really don't, but...I'll have to sacrifice it. I don't care if you're my friend anymore. Or my lover." she finally whispered.
I was wrong. You aren't like the beautiful lavenders dad grew, you're like an angel's trumpet. Gorgeous on the outside, but poisonous to the touch.
She fished a pocket knife out of her bag and raised it up high.
Wait, no!
She added force to thrust it towards Aiden. It was now unstoppable.
Hey, stop!
The sharp object landed deep in his chest, blood flowing from the newly made hole.
W-What? Did I really...
The stabbed male smiled at her, touching his injury. "Right at the h-heart, huh? G-Good spot..." his voice was now softer than a whisper. "Thanks..." he added, removing his hand from the injured place and cupping her cheeks with both of his hands. "J-Jay, I-" the girl muttered, wide-eyed. She began crying, burying her face in his warm hands.
"Sorry, my blood's on your f-face. Make sure you w-wash it properly, hm?" he apologised, chuckling through his tears. There was silence for a minute. "Y-You know what?" he fell down on his knees. Lauren dropped to her knees as well, hugging the dying male. "Don't talk much, you'll die sooner if you run out of breath." she scolded, lightly pinching his cheek. "Ow, man." he giggled back.

"But if I d-don't say it before I d-die, I'll regret it forever, Lauren..." he sighed once more. He looked her dead in the eyes. "I...it was like yesterday when I f-found out. I think...I l-love you." he admitted, leaving the girl speechless.
I don't know, Jay. Do I...love you too?
"Jay! Catch!"
"Wha- w-wait!"
"Ugh, why aren't you always ready?"
"Not my fault you're good at surprise attacks!"
He laughed, his giggles a pleasant thing to hear. They were like music, but even better. His pearly white teeth and pink gums were exposed. He looked at me, confused. It was somehow cute. Like the way he tilts his head to the side and his eyebrow rises up. He makes me feel a way no one can make me feel...
***************
Right. I was in love.
She tightened the hug, making her friend cough more blood out. "Shi- I'm so sorry!" she said, the tips of their noses touching. He just shrugged it off like it was nothing. "So," he whispered into her ear. "What's your answer? I need to know so that my spirit will be calm afterwards, or it might come at ya." he joked with a hint of sadness in his voice.
"Um...I t-think I do too. C-Can we not talk about it now? Just make yourself comfortable. And for me...I-I'll have to go to jail if they find out so I guess right now is-" she sheepishly voiced. "Ah, shit. I forgot a-about that. But I know you well, Lauren. You'd rather go to jail than let the criminal go, r-right?" he asked for confirmation. She slowly nodded, sighing.
"I don't think you have much time left..." she worriedly commented, pointing at the knife still in his chest. Aiden faked a smile and pulled away slowly, only to lean against the wall. His eyes went wide for a second, then he spat more blood out. Lauren was quick to help him but he just pushed her away. "N-No, don't t-touch me..." he groaned as he endured the intense pain. "L-Let me...just..." he suddenly whimpered, clenching his fists tight.
Lauren panicked and frowned at the scene. She herself, like she promised, had attempted to destroy the murderer of her father. She had done what she was longing to do, but this didn't fully satisfy her.
"I-I love you, Lauren. Guess I've a-always had."
She smiled at his loving words.
"I love you too, Jason."
The dying boy's heartbeat finally died down. His life came to an end, yet the words he had said during his lifetime weren't forgettable to Lauren, since they were kept securely in her heart.
Forever.

Again from Scratch Saga: Izmittor Unchained
If someone precious to you needed your help, would you extend it? Would you still do it if it costs you your peace and perhaps even your life? For Tercius, a man mysteriously reborn nearly thirteen years ago, there was only one answer to both questions. Feeling compelled, he sets out to journey to the northern Sogea and its infamous Western Izmittor mountain range, a natural stronghold of sky tearing mountains and deep canyons. Legends about the place abounded, but he knew without a doubt that the hidden valleys, rushing rivers, thick forests, and desolate landscapes hid powerful predators, the likes of which stalk the harsh terrains for an easy source of meat and bones. The many natural dangers of Western Izmittor would be hard enough to navigate safely for a lone traveler, but to make matters worse Tercius had enemies in the heights of Western Izmittor, humans and spirits who would see him dead if they ever learned of his true connection to the Pyramid of Tergaron and the Society of the Magi. To make things even more difficult, he also had to ensure that the true extent of his own Innate Skills remained hidden, for if the prying eyes of the world fell on him and his many secrets came to light, then he would never again know a day of peace. Can one reborn man manage to keep his secrets and still succeed in doing what his conscience compels him to? Will he have to choose one over the other? And can he do any of it without reigniting the sparks of a planetary war the likes of which had not been seen in millennia? Bloody Hell
Alan Maxwell has one exceptional talent. He can read peoples body language and micro expressions so well that, in many cases it's not hard for him to fake being psychic. When a foreign agency decides that said talent would make him an exceptional spy, events quickly begin to spiral out of control. With enemies on all sides, and friends that will as soon kill each other as his enemies, Alan will have to put his skills to the test in the ultimate game of cat and mouse. ===I came up with this story in response to a question. I once asked someone why there weren't really any Yandere harems. I realize that the answer to that is 'everyone dies' but thats boring so... here we are. A story I came up with explicitly as an excuse to create a harem entirely out of obsessive psychopathic axe murderers. Or in other words - "What happens to Bond girls when they disappear?"As a warning, there are sex scenes. Its tagged. I'll leave an authors note at the top of any chapter that has them if you'd prefer to skip it.
