《Tempest || l.s. ✓》Chapter 29

Harry may or may not have had a little cry on the ferry- it was fair enough to be honest. Louis was probably the best person in his life. No. He was most definitely the best person in his life.
Harry pushed open the front door, followed closely by Louis.
"Lou?" An unfamiliar voice called out.
"Huh? Who be you?" Louis tilted his head, stepping forwards and making sure Harry was behind him.
"It's me you twat." A caramel boy with chocolate brown hair and chocolate brown puppy dog eyes came into view.
"Zayn? Oh my god! Hi! I've missed you!" Louis grinned, running forwards to hug him.
Harry stood back awkwardly, not wanting to interrupt their little reunion.
"Z, this is the famous Harry. Harry, this is the famous Zayn." Louis introduced the two as he pulled apart from Zayn.
"Hi." Harry spoke shyly, playing with his rings nervously.
"Ah, so this is the famous Harry?" Zayn grinned- a wide grin that showed off his perfect teeth.
"I did just say that, yes." Louis rolled his eyes.
"Oi, shut it dick'ead." Zayn punched him playfully before turning back to Harry. "Hey mate, how are ya?"
Harry hated small talk. And he hated taking to new people.
Louis noticed this, and so he jumped in.
"You didn't tell me you were coming back."
"I'm back." Zayn shrugged, "and I'm gonna stay here for a couple of nights my house is too far away."
"It's literally 5 doors down at the most."
"Yeah, exactly. But I've not seen you in a while have I? So I might as well stay here."
"Okay." Louis chuckled, "but the room next to mine is Harry's."
"Alright. That painting is new. Where did you get it? It's proper sick."
"Harold here painted it. I painted the one next to it."
"Jesus Christ that's amazing dude. Just to clarify Lou, I'm talking to Harry not you. Yours is shit."
"Thanks." Harry smiled softly, whilst Louis glared at Zayn.
"I dunno if Louis's told you anything about me but I love art with most of my heart. If you're ever up for painting with me please do. Louis's rubbish to paint with."

"Oh, so is it slander Louis day or something?" Louis grumbled.
"Everyday is slander Louis day." Zayn grinned, nudging Louis.
Louis just rolled his eyes. "So, what's the plan for this evening?"
"Order pizza and chill?" Zayn suggested.
"I'm down. Harry?"
"It's okay. I think I'll just go up to my room and leave you two to it." Harry shrugged, feeling incredibly out of place.
"Well I'm gonna go put my bags in my room, I'll be back in a minute." Zayn held up his two duffle bags before leaving the room.
"H, you should stay down here with us."
"It's okay." Harry shook his head, "you two haven't seen eachother in a while."
"I want you to stay down here with us."
"You do?"
"Yes. Of course. Now Zayn's back he'll be around a lot. You can't stay in your room the whole time."
"That's not what I'm doing." Harry mumbled, avoiding eye contact.
"Yes you are. Please Harry."
Harry sighed but gave a small nod. "I'm gonna get changed first though."
"Alright. What pizza do you want?"
"Um just cheese please."
Louis gave Harry a thumbs up and Harry made his way upstairs into his room.
He got changed quickly into flannel trousers and a hoodie, tying his short hair into a little ponytail on the top of his head before taking a few deep breaths and heading back downstairs.
He sat down on the sofa next to Louis quietly, not wanting to interrupt the conversation between the two.
A couple of minutes later the doorbell went and Louis stood up to answer it, leaving Harry and Zayn alone.
"I hope you don't mind me staying here for a couple of days." Zayn smiled warmly.
"Of course not. I'm just a guest anyway."
"Believe me, you're much more than just a guest to Louis."
Harry smiled slightly at that. "I am?"
"Yeah. Definitely. Oh my god, I love your necklace." It seemed to just catch Zayn's eye.
"Thank you." Harry's smile widened, "Louis bought it for me today."

"Okay, that just backs up my point man. Much more than a guest."
"Pizza, lads!" Louis shouted, walking back into the room and placing the boxes on the table.
"Anyone want any weed?" Zayn piped up.
"And he's back." Louis chuckled, "yeah sure. Harry?"
"Might as well." He shrugged as Zayn began to roll the joints.
Harry began to eat a slice of pizza, sitting back and propping his legs up on the sofa.
"So, what did you actually do when you were away?" Louis asked Zayn as he copied Harry's actions.
"I did some painting, visited my family, that's about it." Zayn shrugged, "love the city but it's so much more peaceful here you know. You can focus on yourself more you know?"
"Yeah. I get that." Harry agreed quietly. "Definitely. In the city it's just non-stop go. It's about your job and everyone else but never you."
"Exactly. The quality of life is so much better here. And people are nicer."
"Tell me about it." Harry sighed. "I wish I'd grown up somewhere like this."
Louis looked at him out of the corner of his eye before looking back to Zayn as Zayn handed them both a joint.
"Let's go outside." Louis spoke up, "I don't wanna stink the place out." He picked up the pizza boxes.
Harry grabbed his blanket which he had left on the sofa, wrapping it around his shoulders before gently padding out behind the other two.
Zayn was somehow in loose shorts and a baggy t-shirt. Harry didn't know how. It was bloody freezing, but Zayn didn't seem to think so.
The three sat on the garden chairs, Zayn passing around the lighter as he started up another conversation.
Harry closed his eyes, allowing his head to lull back as he took a drag from the joint.
Louis watched him, continuing to engage in conversation with Zayn but allowing his eyes to stay on Harry.
Harry's eyelashes fanned out across his cheeks which hollowed out as he took a drag.
A few loose chocolate curls lay against his temples, the rest tickling the top of his neck.
Harry slowly exhaled, dropping his hand to his side and opening his eyes. Louis quickly averted his own eyes, focusing back on Zayn as Zayn continued to waffle on about something Louis was pretending to understand.
Louis suddenly stood up and both Zayn and Harry tilted their heads at him.
He walked over to the flower bed, joint between his lips as he crouched down.
"Louis mate, if you're gonna take a shit do it in a toilet." Zayn wrinkled his nose.
"Fuck off Z." Louis flipped him off over his shoulder, keeping the joint between the corner of his lips.
Eventually he seemed to find what he was looking for and he took the joint back between his fingers, blowing out the smoke.
Louis walked back to Harry, keeping his hand behind his back before brandishing a small sprig of forget-me-nots.
He leaned down again, tucking it behind Harry's ear and twirling one of the curls that hung loose. Harry blushed, ducking his head and thanking Louis quietly.
Zayn looked between the two, a smirk playing on his lips. He'd known Louis over 20 years. Louis definitely had a massive crush on this Harry lad.
And by the looks of it Harry might have a crush on Louis as well.
"You two should shotgun." Zayn said casually, waving a lazy hand between them.
"Dude, do you even have a filter?" Louis looked at him accusingly as Harry's cheeks grew darker.
"Calm down Lewis. I'm not suggesting you fuck, just that you make out a little with smoke in your mouth. I do it all the time. You know, just casual. It doesn't have to mean anything unless you want it to."
"Yes, but Zayniekins, I don't just go around kissing people casually."
"You should try it. Makes everything just that bit more interesting."
"Can't you get STDs from that?" Louis raised an eyebrow.
"Probably. I dunno. It's not like I kiss everyone I meet." Zayn rolled his eyes.
"Well, I think I'll pass on the casual kissing."

This isn't a deep book about first loves or self-discovery. If you want a book like that, I'd be happy to recommend one, but I don't have that kind of story to tell. Instead my story is about rash decisions and finding out that your dream guy is bad in bed. It's the story of when I finally went skinny dipping, and how my life was never the same again.
