body's shaking and quaking

as my hands fumble and my words jumble

and my whole brain's gone all numb.

my heart's jumping and thumping

and my stomach's twisting and flipping

cause being around you is like a drug.

and even though my mind's not working

and my tapping foot is getting irking

my peace of mind has been evicted
