《Pandora's Gift》Chapter 4

The remainder of their time spent watching the building was quite aside from when someone important was spotted. But neither of the two tried to strike up a conversation again nor did they try to irritate each other. It was actually not nearly as bad as Sakaki had originally anticipated it to be. But they didn't mean the hours didn't drag on. By the time two sidekicks showed up to take their place for the night shift Sakaki was more than happy to stretch her stiff body out as she walked beside boom boom boy heading back to his agency.
They would talk with Kirishima on what they saw and then she could head home. That gave a new pep to her step. Which apparently didn't go unnoticed by mister grouchy pants beside her.
"You sure got a lot of fucking energy for someone who just finished a twelve hour stake out," he growled at her.
"I do. I'm not used to sitting for so long. I'm accustomed to being on my feet all day doing shit," she said it wasn't a complete lie either. She was accustomed to spending her days patrolling, tackling criminals or training with Miruko. She didn't wish to add that like a child freed from the confinement of school she wanted nothing more than to head home. She was just chomping at the bit to get home and relax.
Her nest was calling her name when she got home. Curl up with her blankets and maybe watch a movie or something to unwind and just be herself. Get away from the stress of being a hero for a few minutes. She would indulge her omega instincts with the feeling of relaxing in her nest of pillows and blankets.
Walking into the agency Sakaki followed after Bakugou as he led the way up to the shared office the two men had. She still had a hard time believing the two could get along so well, at times she truly wondered if the two were more than friends. It was incredibly rare but she had heard a case or two where alpha's would bond. The only difference was that neither man had a bond mark. Their necks were bare of any scars. That was probably the only thing that kept the media at bay with the same assumptions. Hell they still tried some days.
Walking into the room Kirishima was sitting at his desk in civilian clothes. Or really it looked like some workout clothes as he wore a grey hoodie and matching sweats. And of course the second he spotted his two friends his face lit up.
"Bakugou, Sakaki, how was your stake out?" He asked, smiling a wide sharp toothed grin at both of them. Sakaki found herself pulling her mask down to rest around her neck so she could return the smile to the red head.
"Boring," the two answers at the same time in a completely matching bored tone. Kirishima couldn't even hold back as his head was tossed back and he let out a bellow of a laugh as both Sakaki and Bakugou glared at each other. Sakaki waited for Kirishima to calm down before she continued with the report.
"We saw a few people we have linked to the head of the group. But Taoka Kazuo himself was nowhere to be seen. We will need to keep an eye out on the warehouse for him but may have to keep our eyes out for him elsewhere," Sakaki said simply informing Kirishima of what they had seen or better yet who they had not seen and her personal thoughts.

"Our source is solid; he will show up there. We just need to wait it out. I say leave some extras keeping an eye on the place and we can make sure we are ready to move in at a moment's notice," Bakugou argued with Sakaki wanting to just leave the boring work to his poor sidekicks or whoever he would assign the boring ass job to. Even though that's what she said though she felt they should still look for him elsewhere.
"But we know that's not the only warehouse he owns. We should continue to look for the others and look for him or someone closer to him. Otherwise who knows how long we could be waiting," she argued. Sakaki had no desire to be stuck on this mission longer than she had to be. Leaving some sidekicks to watch that warehouse was fine. But she still felt the need to go looking for the man. She couldn't just sit back and wait weeks if not months. She wanted to get back to working with Miruko as soon as she possibly could.
This had caused Bakugou to growl at Sakaki as she stood beside him. And in turn she pulled her own top lip back with a barely audible growl coming from her. Kirishima was quick to jump to his feet to quickly try and dispel the battle that may be about to break out in his office.
"Baku-bro! I've got an idea how about all of us go and grab something to eat? I'm sure you and Sakaki didn't get a chance to eat anything while on your stake out," Kirishima was quick to try and diffuse the tension between the two.
"Huh oh wait, Kirishima. I don't have anything to wear but my hero costume," Sakaki said quickly pointing out this wasn't her agency and she didn't have a locker to keep any normal clothes in.
"That's okay. You live close by don't you?" He asked with that warm and friendly heart warming smile that had the woman sigh and nod her head softly. Why did she have a feeling Miruko had sent a file about herself to the red head before she even arrived at their agency.
"It doesn't even take half an hour for me to get home on foot," is what she said out loud but a string of curse words ran through her head instead, unhappy with her answer or the fact that she feared she knew where this was going.
"That's perfect then. Me and Bakugou can walk you home. You can get changed and we can all go out to eat. After all there are a number of good restaurants around the agency here," Kirishima said, still smiling as always even though Sakaki was struggling not to panic. If it wasn't for the fact she had her scent blockers on, Kirishima would have picked up on the scent of her distress. Her home had been her safe haven. That was the one place she could openly be an omega. Where she didn't have to wear scent blockers, where she could have her nest and not worry. The second anyone stepped foot into her tiny one bedroom apartment they would be able to tell she was an omega. Then there was the concern of having two alpha's sitting in her home was also an unwanted thought. Their scents would probably linger for days after the visit and it was already bad enough she had to work with them. Their scents lingering in her home could trigger her heat and she didn't have the time to deal with that right now.

"It's okay. You don't have to do that. I'll run home real quick and get changed and I'll just meet you guys wherever you decide to go for supper," She said quickly flashing the red head a small smile. But of course Kirishima seemed oblivious to the fact she was trying to keep the two out of her home.
"But what kinda men would we be if we left a woman to just walk all over town all alone?" He asked with that wide sharp toothed grin he had. Damn the man could warm anyone's heart. Sakaki couldn't even bring herself to argue with him as she sighed softly.
"Fine but my place is a mess," She mumbled as if that was the sole reason why she didn't want them in her home. Even though it was really only her bedroom that was currently a mess. But she needed an attempt to cover her ass and not just sound like some rude bitch.
"Don't worry. You surely can't be worse than Bakugou. He leaves his towels all over the living room," Kirishima said with a light chuckle as Bakugou beside him raged about the fact that he had a bad habit of leaving towels tossed around the house they shared.
"Like your one to talk shitty hair. You're the one who can't wash a dish to save your damn life. If I'm gone for a single night the sink is full by the time I get home," Bakugou was just as quick to throw Kirishima under the bus with him. And to be honest it was somehow such a soothing sight watching Kirishima flash Bakugou an innocent smile not even denying the blonde's accusation.
"So then it's true? The two of you are still renting together?" Sakaki asked as she started to head out of the shared office.
"Yep! We have been living together pretty much since UA. It just seems so natural. And plus I'd probably starve or get fat on fast food if Bakugou wasn't around to cook," Kirishima seemed so shameless talking about Bakugou almost more like a lover. Okay maybe it was more like the blonde was some live in chief or maid? She wasn't really sure but still, it seemed so odd the two could live and work together.
"Hey you two idiots stop and wait for me in the lobby. I need to go change," was the growl that came from said blonde man as he turned and left the two as they both answered a simple okay in unison.
"I'm surprised. I do not know how you can both live and work with someone like Bakugou," she said softly, voicing the thought that was sitting on her mind. She quickly glanced over at the red head only to see him still beaming a smile at her.
"He's really not that bad. Really," Kirishima said with a soft sigh before he continued, "He may be a little explosive. But when he cares about you then he does small things for you. Like I said he makes sure there's always left over supper in the fridge for me if I'm doing a later shift. He just doesn't know how to express himself in any other way."
"You know saying things like that out loud makes it sound like the two of you are lovers or something," Her face lit up after she voiced the thought that had entered her mind and had not meant to be spoken. But instead of being met with anger Kirishima just broke out in a hearty laugh.
"Nah we're just like brothers that's all," Kirishima said once his laughing had calmed down enough for him to talk again. Well it still didn't help if the media heard Kirishima talking so openly they would have a field day with it. After all it's not like either man was big into dating. The media was just as happy to suspect the two were lovers since neither were ever seen with a woman wrapped around their arm.
"Now that I've noticed," She mumbled, actually agreeing the two did remind her of what she would think two brothers would act like. One is mature and calm, the other energetic and explosive.
With that Bakugou was quick to return, his uniform discarded; he now wore a dark pair of jeans. And a dark grey t-shirt that like Kirishima honestly looked too tight for Sakaki's liking as it seemed to hug the man's well built chest. Damn it she was staring. Sakaki was quick to turn on her heel, having to physically turn away as she found herself licking her bottom lip before nibbling on her bottom lip.
"Alright ladies let's get going I'm hungry," she called over her shoulder teasingly as Kirishima laughed lightly while she could hear Bakugou growl at her but he didn't say anything as he followed after her as each man took up a different side of the woman as they walked letting her lead the way.
It was incredibly easy to chat with Kirishima, after all the warm soul he was always seemed to draw people in. Even if his appearance could be intimidating with the large mountain of pure muscle towering over her. The two simply talked about what happened after UA. Sakaki explained how she got a sidekick position with Miruko a bit after graduating. While Kirishima was just as happy to tell her about how he and Katsuki did a little work for different agencies for the first like 4 years saving every penny they could before they were able to afford the incredible great office space they had now. It was still amazing to think the two had their own agency by the age of twenty two. The two men were quick to rise in the ranks quickly, the history of their years at UA probably helps as most students held decent ranks quickly outside of graduation. Izuku, Todoroki, Yaoyorozu, Uraraka, Denki, and Shinsou were the first names to pop into her mind of people who quickly gained popularity after graduating along with Kirishima and Bakugou. Though Shinsou had less than good standings, like Gang Orc he was labeled one of the top villain-like hero's.
The duo was actually gossiping about Denki and Shinsou since the two crossed her mind Sakaki couldn't help but ask how the two had been. Kirishima was all too happy to tell her about how the duo was dating. That was why Denki left their agency and went to work with Shinsou. This was a bit of a surprise but maybe it shouldn't have been. She always had a feeling Denki swung both ways. It was more so the fact Shinsou the strong alpha he was had taken a beta partner when she was sure omega's threw themselves at that purple haired tired man. But she imagined the two men complemented each other well. Shinsou would mellow out Denki and Denki would add a little life to the tired Shinsou.
Bakugou remained silent with his hands stuffed into his pants pocket as he scowled trying to look like he wasn't paying attention to the two having a conversation beside him. But he was slightly curious when she talked about herself. Though she seemed to keep the details vaguer than he would have liked. When she asked about Denki and Shinsou, Bakugou felt his hands clench in his pockets as he resists the urge to growl and snap at her for asking about two other men. Where did that irrigation come from? And towards two men that were friends. Or the closest things Bakugou had to friends.
All too soon the trio came to a stop as Sakaki struggled to swallow as she tried not to take a shaky breath as she stood before her apartment building. Damn it she was still trying to think of a way to ask the two men to stay in the lobby without sounding like a bitch.
"This is me," she said softly barely above a whisper as she approached the front door pulling out her key to unlock it and walk into the little lobby slash mailroom. Before she made her way towards the small elevator. No front desk, no fancy place. It wasn't old or run down but the place also didn't scream luxury or expensive. And that's how Sakaki had always liked it. Sure she could afford better now but this was the place she moved into when she first graduated and has stayed ever since even if it's a bit of a commute to get to work.
"What a dump," of course it would be Bakugou who would say something so rude but she forced a simple smile. It wasn't till Kirishima hit him over the back of the head with a large palm that she giggled softly.
"Sorry about him," Kirishima said, apologizing for his friend's rude comment.
"Don't worry about it. He's not exactly wrong. Compared to what most hero's pick for places to live, this place is not overly fancy. But it's dirt cheap and the place isn't really that bad," she said, smiling softly at Kirishima.
"Surely Miruko pays you well enough to live better than this," seemed the first whack to the back of the head had not taught Bakugou to bite his tongue and instead earned him another that had him rubbing his sore head and cursing at his red headed friend. She led the way to the elevator before cramming all of them in which was a bit tight with the two large men inside with her.
"Of course she does. But I lived here before I started working for Miruko. It grew on me and I've had no desire to go through the trouble of moving," she said simply trying not to look at either man as she found herself holding her breath as she was crammed into the small space with both men. Their scents intoxicating, her mouth watered, and in all honesty she could climb both men like a tree if she was given the opportunity. Or otherwise if they were not friends and coworkers she wouldn't hesitate to flirt with either man. She wished that she could say Kirishima would be her first pick. But in all honesty her eyes had wanted to drift over to Bakugou first.
His scent was the most alluring, it was so comforting even though the man himself was the complete opposite. While on the other hand Kirishima was much warmer, his attitude was so much nicer. He also wasn't in any sort of way an eye sore. And yet his warm earthy scent wasn't nearly as alluring as Bakugou's. But still she couldn't help but wonder. Why were both men single? Bakugou made sense, sure. Who could put up with his sharp abusive tongue and explosive attitude? But Kirishima was such a warm and outgoing person. So why was he single? Did he do it so Bakugou wouldn't feel left out or like a third wheel? She could only try and guess at the answers to her questions.
With the elevator coming to a stop and the doors opening she was quick to nearly jump out of the elevator and into the hall. Her lungs screamed for air as she took a deep breath as she strolled down the hall leaving the two men to tail behind her. She held her keys in her hands as she frowned softly as she stopped in front of the door to her apartment. She paused for a second before opening the door to her place and walking in. She slipped off her boots before slipping some white little slippers on.
"I'll just be a moment. Feel free to make yourself at home," she said, turning to glance at both men who were watching her. Bakugou had his signature scowl and Kirishima was smiling as always.
"Awesome," Kirishima said simply with his wide smile while Bakugou remained silent but neither man took their shoes off which she was thankful for as she turned and made her way through the small apartment and headed to her room.
She needed to strip and get changed as fast as possible which is what she did neatly unzipping her suit before the door was even closed behind her. She was struggling to squirm her body out of the sticky suit like a second skin.
Meanwhile the two men stood watching her run off into the apartment. With that the second her door was closed Kirishima took a deep slow inhale through his nose. The strong scent of omega filled his nose along with the fresh scent of strawberries.
"Oh wow so she really is an omega. I had a suspicion but I didn't know it was true," Kirishima nearly whispered.
"It's probably why she didn't want us coming over," Bakugou replied, seeing how the place was really clean. Sure a plate or two could be seen in the sink. But otherwise he couldn't see anything else in the house really. And the living room and kitchen were right in front of them as the front doorway led into the kitchen and the kitchen and living room were attached as one room.
"I wonder why she kept it such a secret?" Kirishima seemed to be asking himself more than Bakugou. To be honest the blonde wondered the same thing and so all he could do was shrug his shoulders at his friend before the two watched the bedroom door open and Sakaki came trotting out. Her uniform was gone, it was replaced with dark skinny jeans, and a black tank top. Her hair that had been pulled back was now left loose and down.
"Alright let's go get some supper. Did either of you have any favourite places around here?" She asked as she slipped on a pair of flats as she watched the two.
"Bakugou loves a Ramen shop not far from here," Kirishima said not caring about the glare his comment earned him from his friend.
"Sounds great. Lead the way," she said, ready to follow the two men out of her home still wondering how she got talked into joining the two for supper when just the other day she had refused. Damn Kirishima was hard to turn down.
