《Pandora's Gift》Chapter 13

The sweet smell of s'mores and a camo fire filled her mind as her half asleep body seemed to move on its own, nuzzling more into the pillow she had been cuddling with. What smelled so good? Forcing her eyes open she slowly blinked her dark eyes a few times but the room was too dark. Oh well meant she beat her alarm close up. Then she could go back to sleep, her half awake brain figured as she curled her body into a tighter ball around the pillow. Mmm why did her pillow smell so good? Wait, her pillows never smelled like this.
With the realization that she was not in her bed she jumped up and out of the bed. Wincing at the pain that shot through her stomach she quickly and quietly made her way towards a hall happy when her fingers glanced at the smooth surface and she didn't walk into anything solid. Though now like an idiot she hunted the wall till she finally found a light switch and flicked it up.
The bright light was blinding as pain shot through her head. Fucking hell she felt like she went on a weekend long bender. Slowly blinking her eyes she took in the unfamiliar room. She would have wondered where she was but she knew this scent. It was Bakugou's which meant this had to be his room. There was no other explanation for why his scent was embedded among the things in the room. The bed was a mess, the sheets tossed around it, one of the two pillows sat in the middle where she had curled up around it. Though the pillow smelled just as strongly of her own scent than his now. A dresser sat along one wall and two doors also sat on the other side which she could only assume were a closet and private bathroom.
The room itself was clean, she didn't expect anything different from the blonde. After all, his room back in the UA dorms had very much been the same way. She shivered softly before finally noticing the pool of black material that was sitting on the floor not far from the bed. She knew the material, but one simple glance down reassured what she feared. She was in nothing more than her panties. Holy hell when the fuck did she strip off her hero costume? Actually she shouldn't have been surprised she always favoured sleeping naked or in just her panties. And when she was drunk she always stripped down to sleep.
She groaned softly, eyeing up the filthy black material that sat on the ground. she did not wish to get dressed again in the ruined skin tight outfit. A quick glance around and with heavy legs she grabbed herself across the room opening the first door she came to. A small private bathroom, nice and cozy. It even had a bathtub in it. The next door revealed what she was looking for. A closet was exactly what she needed. Her eyes drifted to the laundry basket that sat between the two doors. The mouth watering scent from Bakugou's worn closed screamed at her omega to grab one of those shirts. But she pushed down that thought. Instead she reached into the closet and grabbed a simple grey t-shirt and then looked for some sweat pants with a string tie in an attempt to see if she could get anything that would stay on her hips.
Luckily Bakugou had a nice tiny waist for an alpha. If this was Kirishima's closet she knew she would never have had a hope to find something that would fit. The black sweats were a little too long. And even with the string pulled tight it was bunched up around her stomach. Wasn't a very good fit but it didn't matter as she hoped only a few people would see her.

Now dressed she carefully and slowly opened the bedroom door. Fuck she nearly moaned at the mouth watering smell of food that had engulfed the rest of the house. Quickly following her nose she found herself slowly walking into what she assumed was the kitchen. Of course the sight that greeted her had her pause to take in the sight. Bakugou was dressed in some simple jeans and a wife beater while standing at the stove with an apron on as he was making curry. Sure a part of her wanted to laugh at the sight of the big bad blonde standing in his kitchen in an apron. And yet it made her almost purr to see a much softer, caring side of him.
Though she wasn't left with much time to admire the sight before her as her scent quickly seemed to give her away as the blonde whipped his head over to look at the dark haired woman standing in his kitchen with him.
"Why the hell are you in my clothes?" Of course that would be the yelling greeting she would get. Which had her wince softly and raised a hand to rub her temples.
"Shhh," she shushed him softly while her empty hand signed out an s and a few h's as her head pounded though the look on the blonde's face gave away that he didn't expect the woman to be able to use sign language.
"Ugh I feel like I went on a week long bender. And I'm in your clothes because I was not going to wear my ripped hero costume," she said, not including the fact that she had woken up naked. She still didn't want to wear her ruined hero costume.
"You can sign!" Ugh why did he keep yelling.
"Fucking hell stop yelling," she growled before Kirishima finally walked into the kitchen to see what all the yelling was about.
"Bakubro there's no need to be so loud," Kirishima said trying to help quiet the blonde down as he watched the poor woman rubbing her temples.
"Ugh if you shut up I'll answer your questions just shhh," she said once again signing out the letter s and a few h's. That even surprised Kirishima as he watched her sign.
"Honestly I can't sign much. I suffered an injury a few years ago and lost some of the hearing in my left ear. But at the time I lost hearing in both my ears for a few weeks as I was healing up. Scared I lost my hearing all together I started to learn JSL," she said softly, her left hand still softly rubbing her forehead as it still was pounding after Bakugou's yelling.
That bit of personal knowledge was rather surprising to both men. Even working alongside her they had never noticed her hearing on one side had been impaired. Then again hiding such weaknesses was a bit of a side effect of being a hero. Could never let friends or foes notice something that could be used against you. So maybe it shouldn't have been surprising to learn the woman had some many defensive secrets.
"Yeah well your hand work is sloppy," the blonde growled with a simple huff though at least he was nice enough to stop completely yelling. Now it was her turn to blink her eyes surprised at him. He wasn't wrong, she knew her signing was bad. She had not learned much more than the alphabet and basic daily words such as being hungry, thirsty or tired. Nor did she really use it regularly. But for the blonde to notice surprised her. It shouldn't have after all spend twenty years with explosions filling your ears and surely some damage had to be done. Or maybe it would be down the long haul. So she shouldn't have been surprised that someone had forced the man to learn the art of communication when you can no longer hear or talk.

"Mmm whatever. Where's Hatori?" She asked, now turning her attention to Kirishima since Bakugou had clearly been cooking. That must have meant the red head was babysitting.
"Oh he's in the living room watching tv," yep kinda the answer she expected.
"So uhm do I want to know why I'm in your guy's house?" She finally asked now that she knew the kid was safe and sound so she could try and recall what all happened. She remembered activating her quirk. After which she had passed her protective mask to Bakugou keeping him from being affected. But that left her at the mercy of her own quirk. She could remember the light headed, dizzy feeling. The warm hand that had rested on her shoulder when she had started to sway. But then things are a blur. Truly felt like she had nearly gotten blacked out drunk.
"You got drunk off your own quirk. To be honest I'm surprised you're even awake this soon," Kirishima said, flashing her a sharp toothy grin as he rubbed the back of his neck. Oh, was he nervous about something? Even his warm earthy scent seemed a little off. Though she arched her eyebrow at him a silently way of asking. Okay but that still doesn't explain why I'm here.
"And well we couldn't take you and Hatori back to your place alone. You were in no shape to watch him. And well you didn't seem in the best shape yourself. Seemed best to have someone around to watch the two of you," Was it Kirishima's idea? A glance over at Bakugou gave away no answers as he seemed almost to be ignoring the two of them as they talked. Instead his sole attention seemed to be on the food.
"Well thanks," she said softly, not sure who exactly to thank so she simply directed it to both men. Kirishima smiled at her while Bakugou continued to ignore her, it seemed.
"Whatever. Shitty hair start grabbing some bowls out. Food is almost done," Bakugou growled out ordering his roommate around.
With that Sakaki left the two men to get the table ready to eat. After all, she didn't know where anything was and didn't want Bakugou yelling at her for it. Instead she made her way to the living room to find Hatori sitting on the couch. His tiny legs hanging off the side as he seemed incredibly engrossed in whatever movie he was watching.
Though the kid seemed to notice the approaching body was not the large red hero he loved. That seemed to be enough to turn those brilliant blue eyes of his to look over at her. She watched his face light up.
"Aunty you're up from your nap," the kid said, smiling widely at the woman who happily returned a soft smile.
"Yes I am. Have you been behaving yourself? She asked, smiling as she moved to sit down by the boy as his attention flickered between her and the tv.
"Yes I have been," he said, sounding rather happy with himself before he turned his attention back to the tv. Now that her own attention glanced over the tv she was surprised to see how large it was. Then again the entire place was extremely nice looking. The couch was a nice leather, a shelf under the tv was loaded with movies and a gaming system. The walls were bare, it seemed the guys didn't feel the need to decorate the room at all but that seemed rather typical for alpha's she found. She enjoyed sitting down, closing her eyes as her head rolled back. The throbbing in her head still persisted but it wouldn't kill her though it felt like it was trying.
She could hear the two men in the kitchen their voices soft whispers under the sound of food cooking and the tv playing. She assumed it was about her after all she wasn't exactly supposed to be here. She wasn't a planned guest after all. Then of course there was the concern that she couldn't remember everything after using her quirk. Clearly some medics tended to her with the cut across her stomach having been bandages up. And if she was in that rough of a shape then Kirishima was right. She couldn't have cared for herself, there was no way she would have been able to watch Hatori as well. Still it sat like a stone in her stomach knowing she was in that inebriated state around two alpha's. She could only hope she didn't do anything to stupid.
"Aunty are you okay?" The soft voice beside her drew her out of her head. Seemed the kid had noticed her mental struggles. Or maybe her scent had turned so sour even his little nose was able to pick up on the scent of stress coming from her.
"Yeah I'm fine little man. Just have a bad headache," she said reaching over and ruffling his hair which had him smile at her feeling more reassured. Though it seemed she wasn't the only one who was at least trying to eavesdrop as she proceeded to watch Kirishima pop his head around the wall from the kitchen.
"If your head is still hurting there's some painkillers in the bathroom," he offered with a soft scrunch of his nose that she noticed. Seemed her scent had given away her turmoil.
"I think I'll take you up on that offer," she said, giving him a small smile as thanks before she pushed herself up off the couch and slowly started back towards the bedrooms assuming the bathroom was not far. And she must have been right as she heard Kirishima call out the direction. Second door on her left.
The bathroom was simple and like the rest of the house it was clean and well organized. Seems even Kirishima's stuff was well placed in its own designated area. It almost made her chuckle as she could remember the redhead had always previously been a little messy. Clothes used to litter his UA dorm room. And she bet his bedroom was still the same way. But living with Bakugou forced the redhead to keep the shared areas clean. With those thoughts entertaining her mind she found the medicine cabinet and took two Advil from a bottle and tossed them into her mouth and scooped up a mouthful of water from the fossette before swallowing the pills.
Once walking back to the living room she found Hatori gone, making her way to the kitchen she found all three men sitting at the table. A bowl of curry sitting in front of an unoccupied chair told her that was her spot. Between the two men and across from Hatori.
"Thanks for the meal," she said swiftly as she sat down before picking up a spoon full of curry and rice. The food was hot on her tongue but she didn't mine. The spice had more kick than she would typically make herself and yet the flavours were amazing. The pleasant surprised sound from her had the redhead smile widely at her. She always remembers his cooking being good when they were kids but it seemed to have only gotten better as he grew up. She was probably never going to get used to the way the man could cook. Especially since he could out cook anyone else she knew, herself included.
"It's pretty amazing huh?" The red head to her left laughed lightly as she softly nodded her head not even looking over at the blonde who was snarling about not talking as if he wasn't just sitting there.
"Boy Kirishima who needs a wife when you have Bakugou," she said, unable to help the laugh as she teased the two men. Kirishima seemed to find her teasing almost as entertaining as her. Bakugou on the other hand was not as entertained as he snarled at her, his top lip curling up.
"Keep that up and I'll take the food back," he snarled but Sakaki held strong against the urge to apologize.
"Okay okay calm down," she said as she looked over at the blonde watching his shoulders every so slightly shift and drop a little as he seemed to sit deeper in his chair.
The rest of the meal time was spent quiet, well the three adults were quiet the kid was a different story. But then again he rarely was quiet and when he was Sakaki felt the kid was analyzing those around him when he was. Then again he was at the age his quirk should be manifesting. She always wondered if that sharp brain of his was part of his quirk. But given his mother's ice quirk and fathers physical quirk she was doubtful. The kid was just a smart one, with a keen eye for his young age.
Once her dishes were empty the woman found herself carrying them to the sink and subconsciously starting to work on washing dishes only for the large redhead to walk up beside her.
"You don't have to wash the dishes," Kirishima said as he tried to take over the washing of dishes.
"You can dry," she said simply with a laugh as she handed him a freshly washed bowl. After all she wasn't about to just sit back and let the men feed and clean up supper.
"After all, it's the least I could do. You guys watched over me while I was drunk on my quirk, watched Hatori and then fed us. Washing dishes seemed the least I could do," she said simply as the two stood side by side washing and drying the dishes as if it was something they did together all the time. Or maybe it was something she wanted to be able to do all the time? Damn it she needed to get away from the two alpha's and their hormones. It was filling her mind with thoughts she knew she shouldn't have.
"You're giving us too much credit. Bakugou said you passed out as soon as you got here. So you were not hard to watch over. And Hatori is just as easy, turn on the tv or talk with him about hero's and he is easy to keep happy," Kirishima said with a light chuckle as their arms brushed each other. The action had the dark haired woman shiver softly. What Bakugou told Kirishima she passed out once getting here. Which meant Kirishima had not seen it for himself so he wasn't here at the time then. Right?
"Was it Bakugou who brought me here? After our stake out failed?" She dropped down to a whisper not wanting the blonde to hear. Though she did still spike a little worry about what may have happened with only her and the blonde in their home. Geez she hated not being able to remember when she was so drunk.
"Yeah. He probably couldn't think of anywhere else to take you," the redhead said softly, keeping his own voice low knowing the blonde would get pissed if they were talking about him.
"Well then I guess I owe the idiot a thanks," she mumbled with a sigh which had the red head beside her laugh as they finished the last of the dishes.
