Skylar woke up and sighed. Her and Thebe didn't go to sleep till 3 in the morning. She stayed sitting on her bed trying to function then checked the time. It read 1pm. She sighed and got up.
She hated when she woke in the afternoon she felt like as if she woke up in the afternoon she might as well sleep all day.
She went into the restroom and brushed her teeth then decided to take a shower. She showered letting all the tiredness wash away. She stepped out and went back into her bedroom getting ready for the day. She suddenly slapped her forehead with her hand and sighed. She completely forgot she promised Hodgy she was gonna hang out with him and Trenton today. She immediately got her phone and saw that Hodgy called her 2 times which was an hour ago. She called him back and sat on her bed still just wrapped in just a towel. It rang for a few seconds and while she was waiting, hoping that he would answer, Thebe walked in.
He slowly crept into the room and rubbed his eyes, clearly indicating he just woke up. He looked over at Skylar and saw that she was on the phone so he decided not to say anything just yet.
She looked at Thebe and smiled making him smile back.
Finally the ringing stopped and Hodgy answered.
"Hey." Skylar said a little too fast. She was just worried that maybe Hodgy would think she canceled on him.
"Hey." He said back on the other line.
"Where are you?"
"At the park with Trenton."
"Hey listen I'm sorry I over slept and shit and I just saw your calls now."
"Oh no worries."
"Am I still invited?" Skylar asked chuckling a bit.

She heard Hodgy chuckle on the other line and could already imagine him nodding.
"Of course."
Skylar smiled even though he couldn't see her.
"Alright I see you there in an hour or so."
"Alright but hurry Trenton wants to see you."
Right when he said that, Skylar could hear Trenton's voice and shuffling on the other line.
"Let me talk to her." Trenton voiced boomed on Skylar's phone making her chuckle again.
"She's coming right now. You'll talk to her when she comes." She then heard Hodgy say to him making her smile even more.
"Alright I'll see you later then." Hodgy said to Skylar this time.
"Alright bye."
She hung and looked at Thebe. Thebe rubbed the back of his head and yawned at her.
"Who was that?" He asked laying down on her bed making her get up and go to her closet to start getting ready.
"Just Gerard."
Thebe nodded, following with a sigh.
"What'd he say?" He asked genuinely curious to what he said to her.
He watched her from her bed to see her pick clothes out of her closet. She pulled out Thebe's favorite high waisted shorts that she always wore with a loose black tank top. He always loved it when Skylar wore those shorts because they showed off her long smooth legs.
"Uh nothing. I just called him to see where he was."
"You're still gonna go hang out with him?"
"Yes and I'll be even more late than I already am if you don't get out and let me change." She said pulling Thebe off her bed and pushing him out her room.
"Fine. Fine." Thebe said lazily and walking the rest out her room without Skylar's help.

"Just tell me when you'll be back." Thebe said once he was out the door. He stood at her door away and Skylar nodded at him.
"Of course." She said smiling and shutting her door to get ready.
Thebe stared at the close door in his face for a bit and thought.
What if Tyler is right?
What if someone's asks her out soon and I'll lose my chance?
What if that person is Hodgy?
My best friend?
He sighed and went back downstairs again not being able to get Skylar out of his mind. He hated when she did this too him. Where he couldn't even think straight because all he could think about is Skylar.
He shook his head and slumped on the couch turning on the t.v trying to get Skylar off his mind.
Skylar was still getting ready upstairs. She's changed and everything and started putting her make up now. She put simple make up on considering she was only going to the park. She pulled her hair up to a loose pony tail and grabbed her sunglasses.
She walked downstairs after a few minutes and spotted Thebe on the couch, looking glum as fuck.
She walked over to him and sat down next to him. She stared at him for a few seconds and Thebe slowly finally decided to look at her.
"What's wrong?" Skylar asked after a few seconds of just staring at him.
"Just tired."
"You slept for like 10 hours. How are you possibly tired?" Skylar asked chuckling.
She also slept for 10 hours so she was feeling pretty energetic. And with the warm shower she took she honestly felt pretty good.
Thebe rubbed his eyes again and shook his head.
"I don't know."
Skylar sighed clearly knowing something was wrong with Thebe. When he was tired he acted differently and when something was on his mind, well he acted like this.
"Thebe what's wrong?"
"Nothing."
"Why can't you just tell me what's on your mind? I hate it when you act like this. I feel like your closing me out when all I want to do is help."
"Well I don't need your help." Thebe muttered.
Skylar sighed and shook her head while getting up off the couch. If Thebe didn't need her help then he wasn't gonna get it.
Skylar slam the door hard on her way out and Thebe sighed knowing he's made her mad once again.
He got up and pushed a vase that was on the table, to the ground making it shatter. He was breathing heavily and pacing all around the living room. He was so heated right now.
Why was it so hard to just say I love you to someone? Thebe thought. Skylar is his whole world, his other half practically. He couldn't lose that. He couldn't lose his life. He couldn't lose his other half. He couldn't lose her.
Suddenly a phone vibrated on the table. He looked down and saw it was Skylar's phone. She must of left it here when she sat down to talk to me Thebe thought. The name Gerard flashed across the screen.
Thebe immediately knew what to do and chuckled lightly to himself.
"Oh yes I am Gerard." Thebe said to himself. "oh yes I am."
Im going with Skylar and Hodgy on their little play date, Thebe thought.

Restaurant Core
A dungeon core that wants to feed others instead of itself. Can this dungeon overcome its challenging start in a goblin cave? Will it achieve its dream of being the ultimate restaurant or will it be forced to concede to its own nature as a dungeon core? Follow Regis the dungeon and his loyal hobgoblin servant Strum in this dungeon's quest to become the one and only Restaurant Core. I started this to give me a more humorous character-centric narrative to explore. I also wanted to poke fun at the typical dungeon core story by turning it on its head. Who knows, maybe you'll learn a recipe or two from it. Hope you enjoy!Updates at least once a week. Special thanks to Asviloka for so much help in the art direction of the cover. Much love to her. And some thanks to carebear90 for their invaluable input during the process. Asviloka's profile: https://www.royalroad.com/profile/108594

The Summoned - Complete
In a world of magic, ruled by many warring races, the human kingdoms are being pushed to the brink of collapse. In a desperate bid to gain the strength to stand on an equal footing with the other nations, they perform a forbidden ritual to summon combat slaves from another dimension. Unluckily for them, Mors Letus, recently named by their world's God of Death, was one of them. **** Warning **** This is a re-release (The Summoned) of the first book I wrote in partnership with my brother (who later forced the story to be pulled (It was released on his account here)). I have started writing my own version of the story (BOM: The Summoned) and will continue to primarily invest in that, though, now I have permission to re-release this one, I plan finish this as I have the drafts and it was close to the end of the first book. Many characters/scenes and events match/Will match BOM: The Summoned, especially in future arc's (Past Flatner forest). If you don't like spoilers, don't want to get confused between the two stories or hate first attempts at writing (god awful grammar/sentence structure and storytelling), I would advise against reading.
