The morning seemed awfully bright. The sun dazzled in the blue sky along with the white clouds. It was warm. Jungkook loved it. He loved the weather.
The weather was so good, that any person would like to go out. You'd like to make a run for a waffle or a pancake or you'd just like to go out and do cycling.
Jungkook did both. Instead of making his pancakes, he biked towards a small cafe near his building. He bought the pancakes and now was contemplating to share them with Taehyung.
Jungkook had decided he'll offer Taehyung to have a breakfast with him. Not because he wanted to, off course not, not at all. He just wanted to be humble. Taehyung had shifted last night, and Jungkook doubted the younger had any ingredients to make breakfast.
Yesterday wasn't that bad, if Jungkook leaves the fact that he thought about his family after a while. He and Taehyung had talked to the house owner and as the apartment was up for the rent anyways, Taehyung had shifted the previous night, while Jungkook helped with all the tedious process. Don't get him wrong he was just being a humble human being.
He parked his bike and headed towards his house. He doesn't know what he will ask Taehyung but he wanted to have breakfast with him. That's why he knocked on the younger's door.
A few seconds later, the door was opened by a messy haired Taehyung, looking sleepy. He had half his eyes open, he was still wearing his pjs. His small pout on his luscious lips looked so kissable, his hands holding the door knob looked so pretty and his flawless neck which was visible because of the oversized shirt he was wearing. He looked so damn fuc-
GO BACK JUNGKOOK, GO BACK. STOP STARING.

And that's when he realized he had been staring at the younger. He cleared his throat and bought the bag up, covering his face. Well, partly because he didn't wanted Taehyung to see his flushed cheeks as he was embarrassed.
"I bought breakfast for us." Jungkook voiced out.
He saw how Taehyung's expression changed from confused to bored.
"Jungkook, what is this now?" He asked.
"Look, I know you just shifted, so I thought you won't be having any ingredients. Why not have breakfast with me then? I bought pancakes."
It was true.
Taehyung didn't have any money, as he just started working in the cafe, he hasn't been paid yet. And all his savings was gone in the apartment's rent. He had decided to not have breakfast today. It's not like he's gonna die if he doesn't have a breakfast.
Taehyung sighed, took a breath, looked directly at Jungkook who immediately looked away.
"Okay, where?"
"At my place?"
"Are you asking or telling me this?"
"Um are you okay with my place?" Taehyung nodded and shut the door at the officer's face. Rude. He thought but he didn't care. He was happy he'll be having breakfast with Taehyung.
Almost after an hour, Taehyung showed up at the older's apartment. They both were now sitting by the dining table, facing each other. Well, Jungkook being a gentleman had pulled a chair for Taehyung to sit beside him but the later instead had ignored him and walked to sit in the front. Jungkook didn't comment on that.
"Do you like them?" Jungkook tried after an awkward five minutes of silence. He just wanted to talk, he doesn't wants to have his breakfast in silence.
"Like what?" Taehyung questioned, his eyes on the pancakes that were dripping with honey.

"The pancakes?"
"Yeah, they taste good." Taehyung replied in a monotonous voice as he took a bite of the pancake.
Honestly, Taehyung doesn't wants to be here. He doesn't even know why the officer is doing so much for him. Pity is the only reason he can think about. But he doesn't wants the man's pity. In fact, he doesn't wants anyone's pity. He's more than capable of taking care of himself, yet it seems like the officer hasn't got it.
More five minutes of silence and Jungkook speaks up.
"Do you like it?"
"Like what?" Taehyung questioned, confused again on what the older was talking about.
"The apartment?"
"Yeah, it's good." This was Taehyung's short reply and the older only nodded. The officer won't say it, but the small replies he was getting were irritating him.
"Are you comfortable in the apartment?"
"Yes. Very." Again a short reply.
"Are you sure?"
"Yes."
"Don't you need any things? Like grocery, clothes-"
"I've it Jungkook. I'm fine."
"So how's work?"
"It's good."
"Do they pay-"
"Stop it. Fucking stop it. Is this another interrogation? Are you gonna put handcuffs on me now? Is this how you want me to confess about my wrongdoings?"
"No Taehyung, I didn't mean it like that." Jungkook was desperate now. He just wanted to talk. Was that too much to ask for? He never thought Taehyung will take it this far.
"I understand Jungkook. It's your job. I'm only a mere suspect, afterall."
Jungkook wanted to deny that statement. He wanted to scream, tell him that he isn't only a suspect. He wanted to tell him that they can be great acquaintances, but he didn't. Instead he swallowed all the words and nodded his head.
The awkward silence was now cut off by Jungkook's obnoxious ringtone. He excused himself, however Taehyung didn't seem to care.
"Hello." He said.
"Hey. It's important." Namjoon from the other line spoke.
"Yeah, go on."
"So I went to Park Jinyoung's University."
"And?"
"And well, I talked to his class teacher and two of his friends. I couldn't gather much about Taehyung and Jimin though."
"Better luck next time, tell me what you got."
"Well, Jinyoung and Jimin got in a fight after Jinyoung broke up with Taehyung. It was a fist fight, everyone in the university knew about it. The teacher and the students said Jinyoung was a quiet guy, didn't talk to many people." Namjoon informed.
Jungkook hummed as he sat himself on the kitchen counter.
"This shit is bigger than we thought, Jungkook. I doubt the university's dean will appreciate us the next time."
"Don't tell me he cares about his reputation." Jungkook replied, it wasn't new.
"Obviously, that oldie hag didn't seem to care about his students. I'm sure he suspended Taehyung too."
"Alright. Anything else?"
"Yes. We have two suspects now. Jimin and Taehyung. We need to call Jimin for an interrogation soon. Also we really need to look into that robbery case."
"Okay." And then he hung up. He got down from the kitchen counter, walking to the dining table, seeing Taehyung quietly eating the pancakes.
"Sorry. It was a call from work." Jungkook said as he sat down on his chair.
"Yeah. Now what did they tell you to ask me?"
"Taehyung, pleas-"
"Save it." With that Taehyung walked out of Jungkook's apartment, slamming the door shut.
