Somewhere in the middle of night

My room filled in with moonlight

I woke up to the sound of the rain

And forgot all of my haunting pain

Slowly, getting up from the cosy bed

I peeked out at the drenched shed

Raindrops created a lovely melody

Healing my heart like a good remedy

Drunken on the scent of wet Earth

I wholly accepted the Nature's worth

My spirit lifted and soared up high

As I ran out under the star filled sky

The heavenly water soaked me up

Making me forget my warm tea cup

Spreading my arms like a little child

I laughed around and went all wild

Though, I had old wounds and scars

But the pleasure took it away so far

I felt a sheer purity enveloping me

Drowning me into blissful insanity

So when your room fills with light

Somewhere in the middle of night

And you wake up to the sound of rain

Don't forget to forget all your pain...
