"Do you tell your parents everything about me?"
Delilah George had only just climbed into the rusty truck of Isabella Swan when she was met with the question. She hadn't even had to time to check her appearance in the mirror.
"Sorry?"
"Do you tell your parents everything about me?" It was clear that Bella wasn't in the mood for any messing about.
"What makes you think I do?" The brunette had her blue eyes focused on Bella's brown ones, trying to read her as much as she could.
"Jess said you do."
At the words Delilah couldn't help the snigger that fell from her lips, along with a quick eye roll. "I didn't realise Jessica Stanley knew so much about my private life."
Apparently Isabella didn't find Delilah's joke funny. "Do you or don't you?"
Again Delilah rolled her eyes, although now it lacked humour. "If I'm being dead honest I was supposed to, they wanted me to get close to you so I could find everything out about you." Bella went to protest, but Delilah didn't let her. "However, I've known you for a few weeks now and I know almost nothing that would be of any relevance to them."
After a few seconds of thinking, Isabella spoke up. "Are you saying I'm not an interesting person?"
Finally Delilah broke out into a laugh. "Yes! Unfortunately Bell, I have nothing to tell them. Which means they hate both of our guts at the minute."
The Swan girl also broke into a laugh now, her angry facade dropping. "Sorry I'm so boring!"
"No worries, they'll get over it."
As the rusty red truck sped away from the George residence, Isabella decided to ask the to that was very selective over which questions she answered, some questions. First she started easy. "Do they actually hate your guts?"
"Not as much as Maya does." It was a case of speak the devils name and she shall appear this morning, as almost straight after Maya's names had been uttered, the black car sped past Bella's significantly slower one. "It's just the small things, like yesterday they took Maya out for something to eat but not me. That sort of stuff.... they still love me though."
Isabella wasn't sure if the last bit was added more for Delilah's benefit. "How come they adopted you?" Bella wasn't sure how else to phrase the question, she also knew it was a long shot that Delilah would tell her.
"I dunno, guess they wanted a sister for Maya."
"What happened to your parents?" This was probably the longest shot.
"What's with all the questions? Are you writing an article on my family or something?"
This was what the brunette was expecting to happen, Delilah closed up after a while. "No, I just wanted to learn more stuff about you."
"Why?" It was fair to say that Delilah was cautious around anyone.
"Because your, like, my best friend."
"Cute." Her tone held no happiness, instead it was slightly bitter. "You know everything you need to know already."
Bella, not being one to argue, just nodded her head in reply. She wasn't going to annoy Delilah anymore than she already had.
Once the pair had arrived at school, they were on a lot better terms, having sang along to a few Spice Girls songs on the way, which meant Delilah was a lot more relaxed.
"Bell?" Delilah tapped the girl on the shoulder, knowing she couldn't hear her over the earphones she'd just put in. However at her words, Bella pulled one earphone out. "I just need to go speak to someone about something, I'll be two minutes."

Delilah didn't receive a verbal reply, instead she just got Bella nodding her head before placing her earphone back in.
The brunette didn't waste another second before heading over to where the Cullens were stood.
She wanted to talk to Alice, just to formally cut off the deal they had. It was a pointless deal, Delilah had never once told the Cullens anything about Bella, plus she never got anything out of it. So just to be polite, she decided she would tell Alice in person that she couldn't help her out.
Secretly Delilah was only going over to speak to Alice so she could be close to Rosalie.
All of the Cullens had seen Delilah start to walk over to them, they'd also heard her tell Bella she needed to speak to someone. All minus Edward and Alice believed she was making her way to speak to Rosalie.
The thought made Rosalie's stomach tingle slightly.
The brunettes game plan was to ignore all of the other Cullens, minus Alice. She didn't want to have to deal with speaking to them all, it could get rather awkward. That even included Rosalie, she wasn't sure what she should say to her in front of her family.
Unfortunately for Delilah, the blonde had other ideas.
Before Delilah could ask Alice if she could speak to her, Rosalie had jumped in. "Delilah, hi."
"Hi Rose." She hadn't meant to call the girl the nickname in front of her family, but Delilah couldn't help it, all rational thoughts flew from her mind whenever the blonde was within 50 feet.
"I like your top." Rosalie wasn't sure what to say, she felt awkward complimenting her in front of the others, but she felt the overwhelming need to do so. Even if it was one of the most basic compliments ever.
Delilah looked down at her plain white top, only being able to see the smallest bit through the black puffer coat she had on, she wanted to laugh at Rosalie's words, however managed to hold it in. "Thanks, it's new."
"Well it's nice." Emmett and Olivia couldn't hold in their giggles as Rosalie spoke again, it was rather embarrassing to watch.
"Thanks again." Delilah also let out a little giggle as her eyes flicked to the laughing couple, the sound causing the smile on Rosalie's face to widen, she loved the sound. "I was just wondering if I could have a word with Alice?"
The girl perched up once she heard her name, while it caused the smile on Rosalie's face to falter, it wasn't that she was jealous, it was that she wanted to talk to Delilah for longer.
"I'd love to." Before another word could even be uttered, Alice had grabbed Delilah by the arm and was pulling her a few feet away from the others- although they could still here.
"I'm just going to cut to the chase, because I don't want to waste any of your time." It seemed that Delilah had developed the habit of waffling, although only around the Cullens. "I can't do this whole deal thing we had going on. Bella's practically my best friend and I just feel-"
Delilah's sentence was cut short when she heard the screeching of car tyres across the icy road. Her head whipped around to see whose car it was, she hadn't expected her breathe to get caught in her throat when she saw the truck of Tyler Crowley plowing straight towards the rusty truck of Isabella Swan- if it was just rushing towards the truck it would have been okay, but it wasn't okay because of the oblivious brunette that stood in front of it

"Bella!" Delilah knew it was a futile attempt, there was no way that Bella would hear her with the music blaring into her ears from her earphones.
There was nothing Delilah could do apart from watch her best friend get crushed to death.
Which she didn't exactly want to do, so instead she clenched her eyes together as tight as she could.
It wasn't until all noise had stopped that Delilah opened her eyes again, moving them straight to look at the cars which were stopped in a rather weird position to say it should be smashed straight against Bella's van.
However, Delilah didn't spend much time analysing the scene, instead she ran straight over to where Bella was, hoping that she wasn't mashed on the floor like a potato.
Delilah almost screamed out of anger when she saw the brunette was perfectly fine and just sat on the floor, Delilah been all stressed and there wasn't even a scratch on her.
"Bell, are you serious? I was so worried and you're fine!"
Delilah leant down to help her friend up from the floor, and as she did so, the girl whispered some words to her. "Delilah.....it was Edward.....he-"
Unfortunately Bella didn't get to finish her sentence before she was bombarded by other students.
As people shout for an ambulance to be called, Delilah stands in a trance of her own, just like the girl beside her.
She vividly remembers Edward Cullen standing with his family when she had walked over, but she never remembered seeing him in the moments after Bella's accident.
Somehow the boy had disappeared.
Delilah was determined to find out where he had disappeared to, and Isabella was determined to find out how he had moved so fast and possessed so much strength.
And the hospital happened to be the perfect opportunity for the two to find out, they just didn't know it yet.
Bella sat in the white hospital bed, something she assured everyone she didn't need to sit in, but Delilah wouldn't let her out of it until she'd been checked over. The pair were waiting for her doctor, and for Charlie Swan to arrive.
"What did you want to tell me?"
Bella turned her unimpressed face to look at Delilah, the girl offering a small smile on return for a glare. "About what?"
"Something about Edward."
A look of realisation passed over Bella's face, she moved her body so that she was closer to Delilah, making the whole thing seem that much more dramatic. "He saved me, I don't know how he did it, but he did. I know that he was standing with you, I saw him, but then within seconds he was holding me and pushing the truck away with his bare hands."
Delilah couldn't help but feel a bit skeptical about her words. "So, you're saying that he somehow got to you in the speed of light and used his hand to stop the car from hitting you? Bella, he'd have to have like superhuman strength."
"Exactly, think about it Delilah. Why would I lie?"
Bella did have a point, she had no need to lie, especially not to Delilah. But she could hardly believe that Edward could have superhuman abilities.
Soon after the girls strange conversation, Chief Swan stormed into the room.
"Bells, are you okay?" Delilah moved out of the way so the father could move closer to his daughter.
"I'm fine dad, calm down."
Delilah couldn't help but giggle at the small interaction, it was weird to watch them both. It just felt so awkward.
Once he heard the giggle, the police officer turned around.
"Hey Chief Swan, you okay?" The two had met on a few different occasions, Maya often found herself down at the police station because of her lousy boyfriend Isaac, and Delilah normally visited with her. She'd also met him a few times at his house.
"I've been better, how about you Delilah?" Charlie liked the girl, she was a good friend for Bella. The two girls were completely different, so Charlie hoped Delilah could rub off on Bella.
The girl giggled again, moving to rub a hand on his arm. "I'm good Chief. Don't worry about Bella, she's just attention seeking."
At the words, Bella let out a loud sigh. "I'm not attention seeking, I didn't even want to come."
By the time Bella had finished speaking, Delilah had moved herself to the door, preparing to leave the room and let them have some father, daughter time. "Doesn't she sound just like a toddler?"
Now it was Charlie's turn to let out a little laugh. "She does."
Bella rolled her eyes as her best friend and dad laughed with each other at her expense. "Anyway, I'll be just outside if you need me."
Delilah leaned against the wall outside of Bella's hospital room, humming a tune as she waited. She wasn't sure why she was still at the hospital, but she knew she couldn't really leave when she didn't have a lift home.
The girl was halfway through a Queen song when a rather attractive doctor started making his way towards her.
"Isabella Swan?"
Delilah couldn't help the snigger that fell from her lips as the doctor spoke to her, she couldn't believe he thought she was Bella. "No no, Delilah George, Bella's in there."
"Ah, Rosalie's friend." The doctor stuck a hand out to shake the tanned girls manicured one, taking notice of the surprised look that she now sported. "I'm Dr. Carlisle Cullen, her father."
"Oh, of course." Delilah knew who he was, she knew who everyone in this town was- apart from Dr Cullens wife, she'd never seen her. "Rosalie talks about me?" She'd be embarrassed that she'd asked the question in the morning, but she just couldn't help it.
A larger smile slipped onto the doctors face. "All the time." Delilah hoped the man wouldn't notice how her surprised look melted into one of happiness, but of course he did. "I'll have to talk to you later, Delilah, I've got to go and check on Isabella."
The brunette nodded her head. "No worries, oh! By the way, call her Bella, she doesn't like Isabella."
Carlisle pulled another smile at the girl, he quite liked her, she was exactly like Rosalie described. "Goodbye Delilah."
"Bye Doctor Cullen."
Delilah was now left stood by herself again, this time humming a different song, Princes Purple Rain.
However after she'd hummed the whole song, she found herself rather bored. Which left her to explore the hospital, not going too far away from Bella's room.
But just far enough to find a vending machine.
Perfect.
The only problem was that Delilah didn't know what to get. She'd been stood in front of the machine for at least five minutes now.
"I'd get the reece's if I was you."
At the sound of Rosalie Hale's voice, Delilah whipped around, a dreamy smile on her face. "Hi Rose." God, she sounded so pathetic.
Rosalie smiled back, hers just as dreamy. "Hi Lilah."
At the nickname butterflies fluttered in Delilah's stomach. "What are you doing here?"
"Looking for you." Delilah giggled, swaying herself slightly as she did so. She wasn't sure when she'd gotten all soft, but apparently she couldn't act normal in front of Rosalie anymore. "Carlisle rang, he said you need a lift."
Delilah didn't spare a second thought to how Carlisle knew that. "Oh."
"So I came to give you one."
"Oh."
Delilah almost exploded at the thought of more alone time with Rosalie, even if it was just a car ride.
She was so excited that she forgot all about the problem of Edward Cullens superhuman abilities.

Our Shattered Realms
*This is a learning experience for me so please keep in mind that I am attempting to work on some of the issues brought to my attention early on. However I haven't yet gone back to redo the early chapters.* Less than two days ago every piece of electronics in the world stopped working for more than two hours. The death toll was immense. Hospital equipment failed, cars stopped in the middle of the street, planes fell from the sky, and homework was lost at the worst possible moment. We found out that it was just the flicker and hum of The System warming up. Now we see the true cost of our new world. A Dark comedy that focuses on a few of the many people who aren't stuck in a high level dungeon when our world is translated and joined to Our Shattered Realms. This is my first story that I have published. I welcome any criticism that you have for me. Thank you for reading and I hope you enjoy!

Unto Dark
A man of cripplingly ill mind, bridled with the spirits and regrets of the past. Wade Pierce trudges through each day of his monochrome existence, only as penance for his sins. Such a man is abruptly decamped of this world courtesy of unapologetic forces, left stranded in a realm filled with unknowns. Armed only with his potent yet fragile intellect, Wade advances into this new abyss, as he attempts to rewrite the wrongs he has committed. Plagued by vile beasts, self-righteous Gods, and even his own seething darkness, the cracks in his mind begin to spread and a dangerous, newfound power bubbles beneath the surface. As the world grows darker day by day, this unfortunate journey begins ------------ I suppose rectitude dictates that I should state any themes worthy of noting here. First of all, this story is not a sunshiny one in the slightest. Since it is listed under the psychological and mature tag and not the comedy tag, that shouldn't be a surprise. Next, morbidity is a factor and general apathy towards human life. All of these are common themes amongst other writers, so nothing new there. The story also contains consensual, and non-consensual sexual activity, although I have tried to be as tasteful as is possible for someone like myself. Finally, the pace is drawn-out, and the language is magniloquent at times. Not to mention, the chapters are quite lengthy. Don't expect to read this halfheartedly... Other than that, enjoy the story... There's nothing more important than that...
