(A/N: Hey y'all I hope you guys are having a good time reading this work.
there are just certain things I wanted to list out before we move ahead.
The following story will date back to 1441. English was still a foreign language in a country like India back then, not spoken at all. Assuming all the characters are going to speak in the Regional language, which I have believed to be Hindi here; all the terms that our female lead will speak in English will be henceforth be written in bold and italic in font. dialogues written in normal font can be assumed as spoken in traditional Hindi.
also since we are dating back to 1441, a lot a belief systems put here in regards of women and society outdated today were still prevalent back then. be considerate for that.
we have come a long way.
okay I am done with my instructions here.
go ahead and enjoy the story.)

"the system has not been set for a day, it is one year." The other man spoke.
"What the fuck" I screamed loudly to turn all the faces to me. Huge room, high ceiling, brightly lit with with torches holding fire. The walls all painted in little intricate design, the room smelled riches
Rows of seats, occupied with middle aged men covered in jewels. Literally. They had more jewels on them than I would have cells in my body.
I don't know how we landed up to jewelry being only for women in 2069.
There was this one man sitting right in the middle of the all these human jewelry boxes with the most royal aura surrounding him. although he appeared young, he had this 'no- nonsense' focus that was intimidating.
He scanned me top to bottom completing his mute inspection with a disgusted face at the end.

I shuffled at my place, keeping my hands around my bare shoulder, pulling my off-shoulder crop top a little down to cover my belly button. To make matters worse, I had put on high waist ripped jeans that displayed the skin on my thighs and my knees.
I could hear murmur growing louder in the hall. Eyes fixated on me and eyes that couldn't see me because they were apparently too embarrassed to see human skin.
But I guess I cannot complain. I have entered an era that had the 'after effects' of its mentality even in the 21st century.
After I finally realized that my hands couldn't do the job of my clothes I decided to let it go. I started walking towards the main leader.
The KING. I mean.
I guess my brain had given up after listening to the conversation between Aakav and the mystery man.
All the men seated there together got up immediately. And instead of walking ahead, this had me walking 2 steps behind.
They were still harmless, having no sorts of any weapon with them.
They just stood there staring at me. I exhaled a breath I did not know I was holding before I built my self up to gather my voice.
"chill bro." they started looking at each other as if I were speaking alien. Which I later realized I was.
Slangs were not there back then. English was not there back then.
So Hindi .... Here I come. I am sure this language too have changed its course from royalty to being very casual in 2069. But I hope they don't expect me to talk in Sanskrit. Because I cannot do that.
"uhh I mean , sit down sit down" I started speaking in hindi and even gestured with my hand for them to understand well.

"you are no one to order us around." A hoarse voice had me jump on my place before I turn to the source of the sound. All of them looked intense so it was difficult for me to decide who was it with that attitude.
I looked back at the main guy. I mean the King.
Of course body language has been the same since forever. He must have read the genuine, pure intentions in my beautiful eyes that he indicated them to sit. And without uttering a word, on his one action, all those scary, giant bodies were back to their seats.
"thank you." I said, in English obviously and immediately internally face-palmed myself.
"hah?" one of his men said
I rapidly nodded my head in a no "nothing, nothing" I switched back to hindi.
I started walking ahead towards the king. Looking around again, to see if these men stand up again. But luckily they did not.
"hi" I walked towards the king waving my hands.
Yes why not, he is your what, your bff.
One part of me actually felt bad for the king who had to deal with all this. Who had to deal with me
I again nodded in a no, this time actually face palming myself before everyone in the royal court.
" I mean Namaste" I folded my hands before him and bowed down.
The king, like the king he is, did not reciprocate. But I cannot blame him. with all the stunts that I have pulled, I should be glad I am not called a spy or a terrorist till now.
"may I know what's the time" I could not think for the hindi word of time.
He raised his eyebrows again. Looking at me with the same face I would sit in with in my math class.
"time time" this time I gestured at my wrist to make a fool of myself once again. There weren't any wrist watches back then. They would definitely not get the reference.
I sighed out audibly louder, at my own dumb actions gazing up with fear to the king who was sitting on the first floor.
My neck.
"I –" I started speaking again walking two step backwards to see the king without straining my neck a lot. The gadgets any way make me do that.
"enough of you." The king finally spoke. His voice and tone matched his aura. There is no other voice that can suit him well. I was taken by surprise and horror together. I was prepared to be beheaded with the royal swords they were carrying around.
"who has let this mad beggar in the royal court." The king spoke again. If it had been my class sitting here, the whole room would have been filled with laughter and guffaws. But here, there was no sound. Not a sound.
I compensated for the laughter that these royal people seemed to be deprived of and chuckled at my own insult. Realizing later, that I did prove the king right. I do appear mentally unstable.
"throw her out, guards." The king ordered and before he completed his sentence, 2 heavy built men with heavy javelin in their hands appeared and bowed before the king.
They held me at my arms all ready to drag me off this court.
( that is all for the day folks.
tell me how you think this was
I love you all.)
