《The Royal Explorer (Completed)》Chapter 4

"wait wait wait" I struggled to free myself off their grip but managed somehow.
"you are getting me wrong." I argued with the king.
"I am not a beggar. I don't understand how do I look like one. This, this top itself worth 8000 and my shoes, they are not just any brand, they are imported, worth 26,000. You get it." I don't know what I was thinking.
How did I manage to call myself proud history student when I cannot even comprehend what to speak in front of a royal entity.
"what you are saying makes no sense to me. all I can see are torn, uncovered clothes. No jewelry. Not even silver or copper for that matter, forget about gold and diamonds and pearls. And a weird female who is talking something completely out of the world." This was the longest sentence any one has spoken in this era till now and although everything that he said made complete sense, I decided to go ahead without using my brains.
"I get it, I get it. You have no reason to trust me. just do me a favor, just let me meet Neel and then I will leave. There is just something he should know."
There was not a word from anyone in the court despite so many people around. All of them just looked at me in complete amazement.
Did they not know Neel? Did I enter a wrong era?
Aakav's time machine was anyway under trial.
They tried to comprehend my statement and I tried to comprehend their expressions. Until I realized that I had used his short name. so I spoke again.
"I mean Neelambar. Do you guys not know him. He seemed to be famous." I stated delivering all that I had in my head without a filter.
"Enough! Get out of this palace, out of this kingdom before I kill you." One of his men spoke out loud.
The guards had held me again, a little too tight this time for me to free myself lose again.
"Nobody gets to take Your Majesty's name. who do you think you are? Leave this place before you regret it." He pulled his sword out. His face telling me, this not just adrenaline rush, or action directed by his ego.
I have apparently done a serious crime by using what are names used for. Addressing people.
But again I am in a wrong era to talk about rights and wrongs.

I landed up in an era of respect and power only to the mighty.
My slow brain, the one that can challenge a sloth or a tortoise, was finally able to comprehend. This man was himself King Neel.
If they knew the signs, they would definitely find a big question mark on my face. I was shocked to see him.
"Are you Neel? I mean King Neel." His men, all of them pulled out swords before me.
Why? I did address him as the 'king'. What's the problem now.
Am I not allowed to take his name at all?
But thanks to the a little bit sanity present in the king, he instructed them to keep their swords back in its sheath, in the scabbard.
"yes. I don't see how is that a matter of doubt." the king seemed proud but nothing like boastful.
"you look different." I said almost immediately before I had the chance to filter my words. Our history tabs did not paint this picture of his.
"as in?" he looked at me with suspicion, which was natural.
A beggar like person, standing randomly in the middle of court, telling the king that he doesn't look like himself.
Who the fuck am I?
"nothing." I nodded my head again. I did think for a moment, that I should tell him that I travelled from the future, but that would just add the symptoms to my list of insanity. Also If I am here for one year, I had to find a way to survive.
"I wish I could tell it to him in a language that he could understand. But as much as I have studied history, I know, the kings are very particular when it comes down to their family.
I did not want to get thrown in the prison, or much worse, die, just because of some stupid accusations, without any proof.
I had to think of a way to stay in this time period, and stay alive. I came down to this era without thinking anything, driven by my hormones.
My love for history and my love for Aakav, and look where did I end up landing.
"I bow to the king." Another testosterone filled voice occupied the room. I looked behind me to see the source of the sound.
It was a man, who's attire matched with the guards holding me. Perhaps another guard then.
"this man claims to know this uninvited guest at your majesty's court." Although they spoke in a language that I was able to understand a little if not all, what this man just said made absolutely no sense to me.

Who, in this time zone, will at all know me.
Unless past lives and rebirths are a true phenomenon. I don't know, even my granny doesn't believe in bullshit like that one.
My granny.
I just realized I have been trapped in this era for one year. Which means I am missing in my 2069.
Nothing could make me cry till now, except this realization that there would be no one to inform my family about this stupid experiment. The realization that I will not be able to see them hovered over me like a black cloud. I started tearing at the thought of it. Eyes brimming at the imaginations of what would be happening in 2069 or what would happen there in the span of next one year.
I was pulled out of my miserable assumptions by a weak voice that filled the room next. "I bow to the king." The man sounded old and wise. Appeared in a long white kurta paired with white dhoti. Hair and beard almost turning grey, looks emitting calmness and serenity, a father like gentlemen appeared.
"namaste doctor" the king spoke as he stood up to greet the old man. He was definitely well respected, highly regarded among the noble men.
"I am sorry I should have been more careful with my patient." He spoke apologetically bowing down to the king and then looking at me from the corner of his eyes.
"please excuse her misbehavior, she is under treatment." The old man went ahead ignoring the mocks I offered. I was puzzled to say the least.
Did I actually exist in the past. Maybe that is why I have been fond of history.
But was I really a mentally challenged person?
The young royal man looked at me, with his face of displease which immediately changed tender as looked back at the old man and said
"just because she is your patient, I am letting her off. Otherwise she has offended the court in more than one way, which she definitely deserves to be punished for." The king announced. I noticed all his men bowed down when he made his final statement.
The old man grabbed me by my hand, taking me along. I jerked his arm off me, " You think you can kidnap me. listen I will go to the police if you come to me with this extra smartness in your pants." The court was aggravated at this, but the man, the old man just stood there smiling.
"you know it's only me who can help you out of this illness child. I'll take you out of here. Trust me." the old man did start making sense to me.
I did give it a thought.
If it weren't for him, I would have ended either in the streets or in the prison or dead.
He wants to take me away to treat me because he mistook me as his patient and I want a place to live, I guess it is a win win situation.
"if it suits Your Majesty, can you offer her a small room in this mighty court of yours." The greybeard spoke to the monarch.
"I jumped clapping my hands together, giving a loud pat on the old man's back. Again I was rewarded with weird gazes and rolled up eyes but over all, ignored.
"convince me, why should I?" the king, being the king.
"you know, the type of chaos she is capable of doing. I am an old man, cannot look after her all the time. I don't want her running in the streets disturbing your people. I believe the royal guards will be the best ones to keep an eye on her. Let her stay here. I'll make sure she doesn't create problems." I was amazed by the logic the old man had.
God surely had sent him for me. I was just praying, all the while I stay here, I hope they don't find the 'actual patient' who is on the run.
The ruler seemed to be buying the grand bullshit that this old man, who claims himself to be a doctor, had to offer. I am not complaining.
What more could I have asked for in this moment.
Except ofcourse, going back to my 2069 if it is at all possible.
When I'll get out of this place, if at all I do, either I'll love history more than I already do, or hate it more than anything in the world. And as of now, the latter seems more possible.
Although the chances of me dying here, has the highest possibility.
