Violet popped a few percs before downing them with some lean. Throwing the cup in the trash he grabbed his keys and walked towards his car with a few boxes.
Today is Christmas Eve and he was on his way to spend the night at Ameena's house. They invited him and he agreed because he had gotten really close to them in the past few weeks. "I need a haircut", he muttered to himself as he ran his hands through his kinky hair.
A few minutes later he pulled up to the house. Getting out of his car he grabbed his bags before looking at the house. Ameena had money and there's no denying that looking at both the size of the house and the several cars in her driveway.
Putting his bags on the ground he fished in his pocket for the key to open the door. Opening the door he walked in and looked around to see Ameena in the kitchen.
"Hey TT", he smiled as he wrapped his arm around her shoulder. Wiping down her hand Ameena gave him a small hug, "How are you Vi".
Taking a seat at the counter he shrugged his shoulders saying, "I'm good". Ameena opened the oven to put some cookies in it before looking back at him. Smacking him with the spatula she scolded him, "Get off my counter".
Hissing his teeth he slid down asking, "Is Za'Niyah here", referring to Indigo with her middle name. Nodding her head she pointed upstairs before saying, "You can put your presents under the tree".
Nodding Violet walked towards the huge tree placing his several bags under it. Walking to the guest room he placed his spend a night on the bed. Grabbing his charger from his bag he walked to Indigo's room.
"Hey twin", he cheesed at her as he plucked her forehead. "Heyy Vi", she smiled at him as she stood up to give him a hug.
Indigo sat on the floor as she decorated the few boxes on the floor. Sitting down next to her, Violet opened up one of the boxes to see a custom designed pair of air forces. "These shits are so fire", Violet said as he opened another box.
"You made these", he questioned her. As she wrapped one of the boxes she replied saying, "Yea I didn't know what to get my friends so I just designed these". Helping her wrap another box he told her, "You need to make me one".
"You gonna come with me" she questioned as she put a bow on the last box. Shaking his head he replied, "Nah ion really wanna go".
Pouting Indigo said, "Please ion wanna go by myself". Smacking his teeth Violet said, "Aight, but I need to go to the barbershop first". Smiling Indigo went to go get ready.

As she stood in front of the mirror trying to fix her hair he asked, "How's your lil boyfriend". Violet instantly started coughing and choking on her spit.
Smirking he asked, "You good". Turning around she threw a brush at him, "You're not funny and he's not my boyfriend". Not being able to hold it in anymore he burst into laughter.
Trying to change the topic she asked, "You gonna move here". Ameena offered for him to move in with them seeing that he was over there everyday and even has his own room. Shaking his head he responded, "Nah I'm going to college in a few months anyway".
Nodding her head she passed him her phone for him to take a picture.
"I'm so pretty", she smiled as she looked at the picture. Pursing his lips Violet said, "Who lied to you". Turning around she slapped his arm, "Nigga you look like me".
She was right. Indigo and Violet looked so alike it was so scary. From their smooth dark skin to their dark brown eyes and full lips. Their personalities were so similar in many ways, from their facial expressions to their brutal honesty.
Violet grabbed some of the gifts from the floor before asking, "You took your meds". Smacking her teeth Indigo got her pill case popping two of each pills as prescribed by her doctor. "Open", he told her. Opening her mouth Indigo showed him that she actually took them not hiding them.
After Indigo's attempt, he made sure that she took her pills everyday. Of course they made her tired often but it's better than her trying to take her life.

Indigo knocked on the door to Sev's apartment where the rest of their friend group was meeting. They were having a gift exchange and party.
The door opened and Sev wrapped Indigo in a hug. "Hey pretty", he said kissing her forehead. With a smile she hugged him back before walking in to greet the rest of her friends.
Turning around to call Violet she saw him and Sev mugging each other. This is their first time meeting each other. Smacking her teeth she grabbed Sev's arm pulling him away.
As they walked into the living room the enticing fragrance of cookies was in the air. As she walked in Dess ran up and jumped into her arms. Laughing Indigo hugged her back. As she stood back up Dess noticed Violet and asked, "Is this Violet".
Indigo told both her and Ria about Violet, like everyday. There is not a day when she's not telling them about him. Let's just say Indigo was beyond excited about Violet.
"Wait a dam minute", Sin said, looking between both Indigo and Violet. Pulling Violet near her she announced, "This is Violet my twin brother". A few minutes later they all had gotten introduced.

Looking around for Ria she finally found her sitting in the corner of the couch with a mug on her face. "Hey Ria", she told her as she sat close to her. Dess made a little sound as she sat down with them. Ria snapped her head saying, "Pressure".
There is a clear cloud of tension in the air around them. "The girls are fighting", Trey sang as he sat on the floor near them. Trying to avoid any drama Indigo cleared her voice saying, "Are we going to open gifts now".
After a stare down between the two they rolled their eyes bringing their gifts in the circle. A few minutes of exchanging a pile of gifts was in front of Indigo including, a necklace from Dess, a bracelet from Ria, and some clothes from Trey and Sin.
Taking out her bags she started passing out the boxes. Nervously laughing she told them, "I didn't know what to get yall", as they opened the boxes. "This shit is fire", Sin said as he looked at his basketball decorated air force one.
Indigo smiled softly as everyone else also complimented her. "You should sell these", Sev told her as she observed his shoes. Shrugging her shoulders she responded saying, "I already sell paintings so maybe later on".
After they finished cleaning up the wrapping paper Inigo sat with Ria and Dess. Violet was with Sev and Trey getting to know each other. "What's going on with you two", Indigo asked.
Rolling her eyes Dess says, "Your friend is out here being a dumb bitch". In one swift move Ria hit Dess, before the situation could escalate Indigo pulled them apart sitting in the middle of them. "Explain", she said.
Dess sat up saying, "All of us grew up together. I was originally friends with Trey, then we met Sev, Sin and Ria. But when we were around ten we met this girl named Kayla. She was our best friend, the other piece in our puzzle."
She continued talking saying, "When we turned 12 we met this boy named Amir. All of us were the best of friends. Ria started dating Amir when we turned 14, they broke up last year because he cheated on her with Kayla".
Suddenly something clicked in Indigo's mind, this story sounded similar, "Brown skin Kayla with the damaged hair", she asked. Nodding her head Ria said, "Yea you know her".
"That's my cousin", Indigo muttered. Dess raised her eyebrows, "I've never seen you with her". Letting out a small bitter laugh indigo said, "I never got along with her, we barely talk".
Nodding Dess continued the story, "Aight so for the past few months Ria has been bumping coochies with Sin and he asked her out. You know what her dumb ass does? She declines and goes back with Amir".
Rolling her eyes Ria says, "You don't get it". Tilting her head Dess replied, "Well explain it to me". Biting her lip Ria said, "I have so much history with him. He was my first everything".
Indigo wrapped her arm around saying, "I get it. I promise I do. But we want the best for you and I'm pretty sure Amir is not the best for you".
Ria held back a few tears as she cuddled closer with her friends, "Y'all are right. Imma fix this". The trio of friends stayed close to each other as they directed their attention to the Christmas movie playing on the tv.
The silence was broken by Sev walking in, "Come here Indigo". Of course Indigo got up walking over to him as her friends smirked.
They walked to his room and Indigo laid across his bed. "I just wanted to give you your gift", he said, smirking at her. Her eyes widened as she remembered the extra gift she got for him. "Wait here", she told him before she ran out the room.
A few seconds later she slid back into the room, "Me first", she says pushing the box to him with a bright smile. Ripping the paper of the box he opened it before closing it and opening it again.
"This for me for real", he asked with a bright smile on his face. Nervously she shifted as she pulled on her hair, "You like it". Knowing his passion for tattooing she bought him a really expensive kit needed for tattoos.
Pulling her into a hug he placed a kiss on her lips, "I love it, thank you mama". Indigo blushed looking to the side. Even after knowing Sev for several months he still managed to make her nervous.
"Aight close your eyes", Sev told her as he pulled out a box. As she closed her eyes he observed her relaxed face. Closing her eyes she felt something being placed around her neck. Opening her eyes she looked down on her neck to see a diamond encrusted heart shaped necklace.
"Turn it around", he told her. Flipping it she saw an encrusted message. Looking closely at the message she squinted and read the words out slowly, "Be my girl".
Looking at the message and him she stuttered saying, "Huh". Gently grabbing her face he placed another kiss on her lips. This kiss longer than the last.

Fallout: Vault X
An original novel set in the Fallout universe, written to be accessible to all, featuring unique people and places. Vol.II. out now Fallout: Vault X tells the story of John. A vault dweller, who spent every day of his twenty five years underground. Like his father, and his father before him. Proud to live in the last remaining bastion of humanity, all that survived The Great War of the atomic age. Hidden deep below the surface of the earth, toiling under brutal conditions. Year after year, decade upon decade. All to expand into the natural cave system the Vault occupied, building for the future. However, John knew what his forefathers did not, that everything he’d been taught was a lie. After finishing school at the age of ten, John received his standard issue pipboy. An arm mounted personal computer, worn by everyone in the Vault. Used to coordinate the relentless pace of expansion, needed to work as an apprentice. To learn the craft that would be his life’s work. A noble calling to ensure a future for all that remained of the human race. A quirk of fate saw John equipped not with the crude, clunky, pipboy model his father wore. That almost everyone around him wore. His looked smaller, sleeker, finished in a jet black sheen. And capable of doing far more than its drab counterparts. The world above had been ravaged by atomic flames, yet life clung to its bones. The Red Valley fared better than most in the century since the bombs fell. The clean water and rich soil protected by rolling hills. All spared from direct strikes, for the most part. Life survived here. Trees spawned from charred ground, misshapen, green leaves turned red. Along with simple crops, grown wild at first, then cultivated by the survivors. The scavengers of the old world were inventive, hardy people. All determined to rebuild in the ruins of a world they never knew. In the decades that passed settlements emerged. They grew, spreading along the valley floor. Reclaiming the pre-war remnants of the once industrialised heartland. Salvaging the robotic wonders of a bygone age to build their walls and work their fields. To protect them in the dark of the wasteland. But such things are uncommon in this world, and the rarer something is, the greater its value. And the worth of pre-war technology had not gone unnoticed. The last, real, power in this world rested in the mechanised hands of The Brotherhood of Steel. Forged from the mortally wounded old world military. The Brotherhood used its access to the weapons made for a conflict no one won to strike out into the wastes. Men and women were equipped with advanced armour, aerial transportation, high grade weaponry. Accompanied by the training, strength, and will, to put them to use. They established chapters and set up outputs far and wide. All dedicated to a single purpose. To ensure the technology left abandoned by its long dead creators didn’t fall into the wrong hands. Namely, any hands that were not their own. This is the world John escaped into. A place of horrors brought forth from atomic fire. A place where survival meant battling against the darkness. Fighting a war each day to get to the next. And war...war never changes
