"JUNG JAEHYUN, HEAD TO NORTH! HEAD TO NORTH!" jaehyun winced as his kasugai crow shouted from the sky, flying in circles.

the demon slayer sighed sheepishly and looked up to his crow, his grip to the base of his katana, tightened from the loud noise that caught some of the villager's attention. "i got it, just.. could you calm down-"

"HEAD TO NORTH!" jaehyun sighed and nodded, starting to walk towards the north. as his crow flew down to him and stayed on his left shoulder, he said goodbye to the village that he stayed during one of his mission yesterday. before he was about to take another step, a small toddler wearing an adorable kimono came up to him with a shy smile.

"t-thank you for saving my family, sir!" jaehyun's heart filled with emotions as he crouched down to match his height level with the small toddler, gently ruffling her soft raven hair that felt basically like silk. he smiled and looked around, placing a small flower that was near him. it was an aesthetic cherry blossom that had fully bloomed, being that it was already spring season.

the girl gasped and smiled. she took the small flower and smiled, the smile basically lightened up jaehyun's aura. "thank you! s-stay safe!" jaehyun smiled and nodded. "thank you. i will."

"damn it!" jaehyun scowled to himself as he landed on the ground with a painful force. he had already got scratched by this demon's sharp fingernails on his arm.

the demon cackled loudly as his spine made a huge crack noise. although this demon seemed very flexible that it looked horrifying, jaehyun winced at the noise. the demon grinned menacingly and yelled to jaehyun. "come on, demon slayer?! ain't you gonna save all your pathetic humans!?"

jaehyun rolled his eyes and got into stance, gripping the base of his katana. "air breathing. first form." jaehyun brought out his nimbus grey katana, the tsuka colored in black and light blue. his tsuba had only small decorations but looked aesthetically and simply beautiful. the katana shined brightly with the shine from the moon. "harsh heavenly breeze."

before the demon could respond, jaehyun got ready and sprinted next to the demon, swinging his sword among his neck and sliced of his head. the demon's breathe hitched as his head landed on the ground with a thud. the demon growled angrily and tried to get his body to stand up again. before he could, he noticed jaehyun praying silently to him before looking up again.

the demon's eyes soften slightly when he noticed the sadness in jaehyun's eyes. the demon smiled internally and closed his eyes, trying to accept his fate. as the demon's head and body disintegrated, jaehyun glanced at it bitterly before running to the other demons, trying to track their knowings.

as he heard a faint noise, he stopped his tracks. he quickly gripped onto his katana and got into his stance when he witnessed what he saw beneath his eyes. a male demon getting attacked by another one of its species while a women and her baby cowered against the tree trunk. jaehyun noticed how the male demon that was getting attacked whimpered, his handsome features were almost filled with scars. jaehyun shook his head to clear his mind and gripped onto his katana, running up to the two demons.

as he quickly killed the demon, slicing the head off its body, the demon that was getting attacked backed away and stood in front of the women and her baby, his arms spread out to cover the human. jaehyun stood up properly and arched an eyebrow as he saw how the demon's body was shaking while he tried to be intimidating. subconsciously, jaehyun glanced at the demon's features. a prominent nose, sharp-like eyes, he was quite handsome.

as jaehyun was about to get his katana, the women behind the demon shouted, "p-please don't kill him!" jaehyun frowned. the women stuttered over her words as she hugged her baby. "t-the o-other demon was about to eat me b-but he helped me! i.. i-i don't think he's a bad d-demon!" jaehyun was skeptical, good demon didn't really exist in his dictionary and he was hesitant about trusting the women with this handsome ass demon.

he sighed. "ma'am, thank you for the advice. i uhm suggest you go home, it's quite late. would you like me to accompany you?" jaehyun silently glared at the demon who visibly flinched. jaehyun was very confused of this demon now, first he saved a women and a baby from getting eaten by a demon, then he has visible reactions to certain things. he didn't look like he was al bloodlust for blood.

the women glanced at the demon in front of her then jaehyun before shaking her head. "n-no, i-it's fine." as she stood up, she slightly backed away from the demon but still was able to smile. "t-thank you." she said gently to the demon before walking away, her house was quite near so she was fine.

as the women walked away, jaehyun glanced at the demon who slightly stepped back. jaehyun sighed and brought out his katana, the demon glared at him as he scowled slightly at jaehyun. the dark brunet gripped onto his katana, slightly hesitant to kill the demon. jaehyun looked at the demon and ended up giving up, sliding his sword into his case. jaehyun walked up to the demon in a fast pace, making the demon cower away. the demon's back hit against the tree and before he could attack jaehyun, the demon slayer knocked him out easily.

jaehyun looked down at the demon that was now unconscious. jaehyun sighed and placed his hand on top of his chest, feeling his heartbeat fasten. "why is it doing this.. damn it."

jaehyun picked the demon up in a bridal form and ran to his house, the chilly atmosphere breezing against his skin which made him shiver slightly but overall it was a good feeling. as jaehyun got into his home, he took off the haori that the dmeon was wearing and placed it near the closet. he laid down the demon onto the floor and laid a blanket on top of him. he decided to leave the demon be and go to another room, his library, spending most of the hours there before the demon woke up again.

jaehyun was reading his book in simple peace when he heard a small muffled whimper from the demon. he quickly got up and walked to the other room, the shine of the moon lighting up the room.

jaehyun noticed the demon looking around nervously while he had a bamboo stick on his mouth. jaehyun clicked his tongue to catch the demon's attention. the demon flinched and back away, the blanket being on top of his body. jaehyun sighed and slowly kneeled down, placing his hand on top of his knees. "i'm not going to hurt you. i swear." jaehyun mentally cringed at how he sort of sounded like a peodphile but still remained calm outside.

jaehyun saw the demon's head peek from the blankets as it got closer slowly. jaehyun scratched his head before trying to strike a conversation that maybe the demon could assist through. "uhm what's your name?" jaehyun tried to get closer but ended up scarying the demon as he backed away, his back hitting the wall with a small thud. jaehyun sighed and looked around before looking at the jacket that the demon was wearing a few hours ago.

jaehyun slightly blushed, his name sounded quite.. pretty for some reason. jaehyun looked at the demon, taeyong, who glanced at him. "taeyong, right?" jaehyun was surprised when the demon nodded.

as the awkwardnesss slowly crawled itself into the room and it became awkwardly quiet, jaehyun was even more shocked when taeyong was next to him, trying to lean into the palm of jaehyun's hand. jaehyun smiled, his cheek going red as a strawberry. jaehyun stroked his fluffy raven hair.

jaehyun noticed how the demon immeidately fell asleep and smiled. although the demon might be seemed scary among other people, jaehyun got a small gut feeling that this demon was very.. gentle. and also cute.

"taeyong~~~~~~" jaehyun whined as he hugged the demon from behind. jaehyun just came back from a mission that made him use a lot of energy, way more than other missions which made him quite tired. when jaehyun becomes tired, he gets quite clingy to taeyong.

taeyong sweat dropped slightly as he tried to calm the taller down by stroking his dark brown locks. "t-tired..?" taeyong asked, his voice raspy from not speaking. since he had the bamboo stick on his mouth for almost a couple of years, his voice became almost non-existence.

also i should prolly tell what happen to taeyong in these couple of years. first of all he got an approval from the demon slayer corps about him being near jaehyun. the demon was very welcomed by the pillars and the members. he didn't really needed to eat humans since he basically replaced it with sleep, he still needed human blood sometimes. jaehyun let him drink his blood every 2 months and was generous. too generous sometimes but not a story to tell today.

jaehyun internally squealed at his cute voice and cupped his pale face with his large hands. "god i love you."

taeyong giggled, his smile revealing his cute fangs that made the demon slayer fall in love with him even more in every second. taeyong wrapped his arms around jaehyun's neck and tip-toed, nuzzling his nose against jaehyun's, a move that he learned form jaehyun and he loved it dearly. "l-love y-you t-too.." jaehyun smiled widely and pulled him into a kiss.

a demon and a demon slayer in love with each other. it might seemed strange, but to them? it was a match made in heaven.
