"Lily dear, why do you look so sad?" Her father asked when seeing her reflection through the rierview mirror. The little family currently in the car as their driver drove them off to their located destination.
"She's probably missing her boyfriend or something." Her older brother replies, earning a soft nudge from his sister.
"No I'm not sad about that." She replies as he dramatically gasps.
"Huh! So you don't actually miss Renjun!?! I'm telling." He teases her as he then proceeded to take his phone out.
"Noo I didn't mean it like that!! Hao!" Lily whines, trying to take his phone out of his hold. All their father could do was smile at his kids in awe.
"I'm just upset that we're eating at an expensive restaurant, again." She says when giving up from trying to take the phone away from her brother.
"The food is good though." Minghao stated.
"I don't care if it tastes good or not." She retorts as she stares out the window.
"Don't be sad Lily, we'll go eat out at a place of your choice next time ok?" Said her father as this immediately made her smile a little.
Her brother sighs.
"You'd probably pick out a place to eat hotpot like usual."
"You got a problem with that?" She asked him coldly. Him seeing her expression quickly made him smile apologetically.
"Hahaha... no problem at all."
--- ☁️
"Minghao when are you going back to the States again?" Their father asks once the food has arrived. The family having small talk as they ate.
"At the end of the month, why'd you ask dad?" He replied whilst taking a sip of his drink.
"I just wanted to ask cause I'll be going on a business trip for the next two weeks and I was wondering if you'd still be here to take care of Lily and keep her company whilst I'm gone."

"Ya why are you leaving?" Lily asks in sorrow.
"It's a business trip dear. And I also have to go back to China to check up on grandma and grandpa." Her father reasons as he caresses the back of his daughters head.
Lily only frowning as she fiddles with her fork.
"Oh I wouldn't mind taking care of Lily. Besides, aren't you happy that you get to spend a lot of time with me! And Renjun too I guess... he's probably going to come over frequently." Her brother tried to cheer her up. I guess it worked a bit since the sides if her lips slowly tugged upwards.
"I'll make sure to bring you two a gift when I come back. I'll get you the new book that you've been wanting to have your hands on." Said their father as Lily immediately cheered up.
"That doesn't sound bad hehe." The girl smiling brightly now.
Minghao could only throw her a weirded out look.
"Eww my sister is such a nerd. She gets happy over getting a book!!" He screeches as Lily rolls her eyes at him.
"?" Someone called her brothers name out. This catching the attention of the little family as they looked towards the source of the voice. When Lily seeing the face of the person, her face drops as it went pale.
Sunwoo. Her ex that she hasn't seen in two years.
"O-oh Sunwoo, long time no see?' Her brother chuckles awkwardly as he eyes his sister to see if she was fine. Holding her hands to calm her down.
"It's been a while hasn't it? Ah is that Lily besides you, she looks really different. I didn't notice that it was her at first." The boy smiling. That smile making Lily furious as she clutches her skirt in rage.

"I'm gonna go out to take a walk." Lily standing up before she ran out of the restaurant.
"Lily!" Her father exclaimed. Trying to call her back because he knew that when she meant by 'going out for a walk' it usually means that she was going to run away to who knows where to be alone for some time.
bzzt..!
Minghao raising a brow up as he takes his phone out of his pocket when his phone was ringing. Indicating that someone was calling him.

He hung up before letting out a sigh. Looking over at Sunwoo as the lad showed him an apologetic smile before bringing the boy closer to him.
"Heyy how about we talk for a bit and you explain to me why you decided to break up with my sister and ghosted her for two years, how does that sound?"
...
The sound of the waves rising helped bring Lily to peace. She pulled her knees closer to her chest as she stares off into a distant. Sitting there as she started to question her life. Why'd he decide to finally come back without a reason? It doesn't make sense, nor does it even matter anymore at this point.
"Lily." Her name being called out, snapped her out of her initiative thoughts.
Looking behind to see a figure standing a far distance away from her. She struggled to see who the person was, due to them covering their face with a cap. But his figure was easily able to be identified.
She stood up before going over to the person. The figure just standing there as they watched her run. Smiling, knowing that she was safe.
Lily stopped at her trace when she was standing in front of the person. Looking into their eyes before she took his cap off. Revealing his short hair and the joyous look on his face.
"Renjun.."
"Surprise, I'm back!" He cheers, trying to brighten up her mood. Lily not being able to say anything. The girl pulling him into a hug as a response. He was startled at first to say the least, but nonetheless returned her the hug.
"Minghao-ge told me about everything. So no need to be sad ok? I'm right here for you." Renjun reassures her as he caresses the back of her head. Lily only nodding.
"Hey Injun, is it very weird of me to say that I really love you a lot?" Her words catching him by surprise. The smile on his face gradually growing wider.
"No, it's not weird of you at all."
