"9 sandwhiches and fruit for everyone," You said to yourself as to packaged the last club sandwhich you made.NCT 127 was working hard for their next comeback and you decided to prepare some lunch for them today. Although you were "just friends" with Jaehyun, you made his sandwhich with a little extra love and care. Your best friend Johnny always teased you because he knew you had a crush on his friend, he loved to shove you into Jaehyun from time to time to get a good laugh as well. Lately, Johnny keeps telling you to shoot your shot, but you can't help but keep your distance for you don't want to be rejected.

*Ding* Your phone lit up with notification of a text message.

You rolled your eyes at the last message and put your phone away in your pocket. Grabbing your bag and the meals, you headed out to the SM building. The walk there was quite pleasant, clear skies and quiet streets. You arrived at the front of the building and called Johnny to come down to let you through security. However, when you looked up to hear someone say your name, your legs became weak.

"Y/N!" Jaehyun said smiling, dimples showing. You admired his practice look; hair damp from sweat and sweatpants looking nice.

"Here, do you need help carrying anything," he took the bag of lunches from you before you answered, flashing another charming smile. The two of you walked to the practice room and when entered your ears had to adjust to the loud cheering of your name.

"Yoooo! Y/N's here~" Mark announced as Donghyuck sing-screamed, Jungwoo trying to harmonize with him. Everyone calmed down and Johnny came over to you,

"So, how was the tour guide," he winked while nudging you towards Jaehyun who was handing out sandwhiches. You playfully hit Johnny making him yelp for help.

"Thanks for doing this Y/N, after we eat would you like to see us practice?" Asked Taeyong, signaling you to come over and sit with them.

"Uh yeah sure," you agreed and plopped yourself on the floor, watching the boys enjoy their lunches.

"Wow, I got to get me a signifficant other like Y/N, this is delicious," Yuta said with his mouth full, but giving you an eyesmile.

You couldn't help but blush a little at the comment, you looked over to Jaehyun to see his reaction but he was only eating with a blank face. Doyoung let out a chuckle at Yuta's comment,

"Be careful there, Y/N would never date you." The members collectiveley laughed, except Jaehyun who continued chewing expressionless.

"Alright, DANCE TIME!" (a/n: pls read that in Taeil's "TAEIL TIME" voice) Taeil shouted, everyone went in front of the mirror, where you placed yourself in front of as well.

The music blared through the speakers and the practice room became loud with the squeaking of sneakers against the wooden floors. 'They're really good,' you thought to yourself. You watched everything, from their footwork to their facial expressions. Everyone was mesmerizing to watch, but Jaehyun captivated your attention. When the song came to an end, the breathlessly sat on the floor.

"So, what'd you think," Taeyong questioned.

"You guys did great! NCTzens are going to love this comeback so much," you exclaimed.

"What about me, how did I do," Yuta came over to you smiling.

"Well, like I said, great! I liked when you and Mark did the little duet dance, it was cute."

Yuta chuckled, "Thanks, you want to know what I liked?"

"Uh, sure?"

"The beautiful person sitting in front of the mirror," he winked.

'Well shit. I'm slowly being seduced by this man.'

"Why don't you do something productive, like fixing the issue with your footwork during Jungwoo's solo, rather than talking Y/N up," Jaehyun barked at Yuta with a pissed off look plastered on his face.

"Chill dude, I got time to work on it," Yuta said getting up and heading over to grab a towel to some sweat off.

"Oooooh~ Is someone jealous~" Johnny teased Jaehyun, who in return shot him a death glare, "Yep, someone is definitely jealous," Johnny muttered under his breath.

"I'm going to get some water," Jaehyun said before quickly leaving the practice room.

"Why don't you go chase after your boyfriend~" Donghyuck asked, picking on you. Mark hit him in the arm, causing the younger to angrily hit back.

"Go get him, now's your chance," Johnny assured you.

You took a deep breath and walked out the practice room. Looking to your right you spotted Jaehyun at the vending machine. He didn't notice you until you were right next to him.

"What are you doing here?" He asked kind of coldly.

"I-" 'what do I tell him?'

"You?"

Just do it. "I like you Jaehyun, I have for a while now, I understand if you don't feel the same way back don't worry I-" you paused as he started laughing, "wha- what's so funny?"

"Nothing, you're cute," he said with red ears. You felt the heat rise up in your cheeks.

"So? What does that mena?" You muttered out.

"Well, I like you too..so, would you be my s/o?" He looked you in the eyes softly.

"I would love to."

"Thank gosh, I thought I was losing you to Yuta," he said with defeat.

You laughed, 'I guess he really was jealous after all, how adorable'

His hand met with your cheek, making your heart pick up in its pace, he gave you a warm smile and pecked your forehead before grabbing your hand and heading back to the practice room.
