Worry
Tala's Point of view.
It's my fault kaya ganito ang nangyari sa kanya. His still handsome kahit siguro marami siyang sugat sa mukha ngayon.
Vince is my crush back then. And I don't want to hurt her kaya nilihim ko na lang.
"Maybe 2 years or 3. I don't know." aniya ko pagkatapos ay nilagyan ng mga band-aid ang mga sugat.
"Want do you want to drink? Juice or coffee?" bigla kong tanong ng matapos.
"Juice.
"That's not what I mean. Im talking about Bar. Kababae mong tao umiinom ka." oh! I thought he asking me about drinking water. Come'on Tala don't be harsh to him. Remember why he's here is because of you!
"Im not. I never taste an alcohol!" aniya kaya napahanga ako. This is my first time na malamang may lalaki din palang hindi umiinom ng alak.

Maya-maya ay napataas ang kilay ko. "Then what's brought you at bar kung hindi ka umiinom ng alak?" takhang tanong ko.
"Oh! It's because one of my friends told me to celebrate Brent's wedding." I know who's Brent.
"What time is it?" biglang tanong niya sa kalagitnaan ng pag-uusap namin.
"I need to go home para naman makapagpahinga ka.
"Hey, Krystal!" he greets me with a smile.
"Thanks for this." turo niya sa sugat niyang may mga band-aid. I just shook my head to say that 'it's okay, that is my fault' look.

"Tala." he looks like shit using his puppy eyes. Allen.
"Hey." I don't know what to say, seeing him here made me mad but I can't ignore him because he still my brother, afterall.
"Let me explain, Tala." he sincerely said.
"No need to explain, Allen. I saw what I saw, you don't have to worry too I won't tell to your wife."
"This is you, right?" aniya habang pinakikita ang video. Ang kuha sa bar kanina, I won't deny it. They already saw so what's the point if I hide it?
"That me and Vince, punching that godd-mn and pervert guy! He deserves it." saad ko sabay lapag ng dalawang baso na puno ng juice. Treat her nice, Tala.
"Have a drink." aniya ko pagtapos.
"Thank you." sabat naman ni Liam. He look serious wile drinking his juice.
"You mean, binastos ka nung lalaking yun?" turo niya sa lalaking nakahandusay.
Tumango ako bilang sagot.
"What do you think your doing? Bakit pumunta ka ng bar? did you know how much dangerous here? A sarcastic laugh.
"You know the reason why I did that!" sigaw na balik ko dahilan para matahimik siya.
"Don't shout him, Tala!" biglang sbat ni Liam kaya bigla akong nairita.
"You home, Allen.
"We don't have to talk to. Just go to your unit and sleep." aniya ko pagkatapos ay hinubad ang jacket.
"Then get lost." aniya ko sa mababang boses pagkatapos ay iniwan siya sa sala.
"I love your brother!"sigaw niya na kinahinto ko at takhang tumingin sa kanya.
Did I ask him?
Mukha bang pinanganak ako kahapon? Ilang beses na niyang sinabi yan kaya sawa na kong marinig.
"Who cares?"
"But i'm worried!" bigla akong natahimik, hindi ko alam yung gagawin ko.
"Because you're Allen's sister."
Damn it!

Old Riding Author Lunatic Asylum
Just off the A19, in the dark, incomprehensible lands known as Yorkshire, there lies a town. A town where shadow-silent alleys glint with the secret hunger of knives. Where blood soaks the chipboard window shutters of forsaken terraces stretching off into the night. Where the smog-choked air rattles with the depraved laughter echoing out from clubs that can only generously be described as post-apocalyptic. Well, that’s Middlesbrough. But down the A19 a bit (an impossibly long way down, actually) there lies another town: Raughnen, in the ancient, forgotten Old Riding. It is an equal match in muggery and thuggery alike. It also has magic spells and pointy wizard hats. And now, across the miles and across all sensibilities, a pretty nasty power (a magic one) calls out for its pretty nasty counterpart (a decidedly unmagic one): a proper sound Boro lad. Nothing good can come of it. This is a collection of one novella and four connected short stories: I. A Yorkshire Summoning II. Old Riding Day Trip (the novella) III. Heaven is a Parmo IV. Death on the 66 V. Death on the 257 In total, this comprises 34 chapters totalling around 35,000 words, so try not to worry. It will be over relatively quickly. There are three more short stories with more tenuous links to the core collection: Rush, Paper Round and Scenario 79: Sausage Fingers, all of which can be found in my collection Short Records of Misadventure. Reading these may allow you to make more sense of certain parts of the story, if any sense is to be made at all. NOTE: There are instances of prejudice and discrimination within these stories, including elements of sexism and ageism, which are purely the thoughts and actions of the characters involved and which certainly do not reflect my own views on these matters. ANOTHER NOTE; A WARNING, PERHAPS: This can get a bit weird. In less than 150 pages, we have four viewpoints, first and third person narratives, and a completely disjointed plot with lots of gaps, dead ends and no real resolution. Also ZERO lunatic asylums. It's all a bit odd. If that sort of thing isn't your cup of tea, which it most likely isn't, it might be best to move on now.
