"All you have to do is follow him until he gets home. Easy, right?"
"Noona, you're creepy for this."
Nari rolled her eyes at the younger boy and continued.
"Make sure to remember his address correctly"
"I don't think–"
"Just do it, Kooki."
Jungkook sighed and turned to Namjoon who had been reading a book this whole time. They went to his place to study after school, but they ended up making plans to stalk Nari's new crush. Jungkook hated the guy because he was a jerk. But of course, Nari didn't see that. He acted so sweet with her, she thought he was all perfect and gentlemanly. Even though everyone knew what an imbecile he was, Nari refused to see it.
"Hyung, are you going to let her do this?"
"She can do whatever she wants," he answered, not taking his eyes off his book.
He looked so uninterested but by the tone of his voice, Jungkook knew he was listening. He sounded irritated or was it jealousy? Jungkook smirked and went to sit in the chair next to Namjoon. They were in the Kims' library and it was almost as huge as the school's one. Everyone in this family loved to read and study, that was probably why they had something like that in their house.
"Maybe you should just tell her."
"Tell her what exactly?" Namjoon asked a bit too aggressively.
Jungkook sighed but decided not to go any further with the subject. Namjoon seemed in a bad mood and he could guess the reason. The boy they were talking about, Jung Han Seo, was a new student and Nari had been crushing on him for a while now. She wouldn't stop pestering them about him. To her, he was so perfect. And he also seemed interested in her, which was even worse.
As usual, Jungkook started doing some research on him once his noona started showing interest in him, and what he found out wasn't pretty. He had told Namjoon, but he wasn't sure if he should tell Nari for now. He didn't want to fight with her. Plus, it was temporary. She would probably forget all about him after a few days. Or weeks, depending on how long and well Han Seo could act nice. At least that's what he thought but it had been a little over four months now. She still blushed every time he was around and Jungkook hated that.
But what he hated most was the way Namjoon was acting right at that moment. It was so obvious he had a thing for Nari, but why was he not acting on it? Was it because he was about to start training to become an idol? Did he think he would forget all about her once he debuted his career? What a joke. He would never be able to forget about her, Jungkook was sure of it.
It's not that he could see the future, but it was just the way Namjoon looked at her. He didn't look at anyone else like that, he didn't smile at anyone else as he smiled at her. Everyone saw it except Nari, of course.
"Noona, it's really a bad idea," he tried to reason with her.
"Fine I'll do it myself," she said as she was leaving but he stopped her.
"Ok, ok I'll do it."
"Thank you, baby." She said with a bright smile.
Jungkook looked at Namjoon again and let out another sigh. He obviously wasn't happy about all this either, but since he wasn't reacting, Jungkook had no choice but to do as told.

It had been two days since Nari made poor Jungkook stalk that jerk. He hated it, but Nari had a way of making people do whatever she wanted. And in this case, people meant Namjoon, Jungkook, and even her father.
Namjoon couldn't believe what he was about to do. She really made him do all types of things.
He walked towards Han Seo and his friends and watched them carefully. He made sure to look as intimidating as possible. He didn't have a choice at this point. He needed to do this. It was the first time, but would it be the last? He was just trying to prospect his best friend, he wasn't doing anything bad. He didn't have to feel bad about it. She'd get mad once she found out, but it didn't matter to him. He'd do what he had to do.
"I need to talk to you, Jung Han Seo."
The jerk smirked and got to his feet.
"Sure, let's do that."
They went on the rooftop and as soon as they got there, Namjoon slid his hands into his pockets and observed the other one's every movement. He looked handsome, but nothing, in particular, caught your attention. He had dark brown eyes, full lips, and a straight nose. Was it plastic surgery? Maybe... His hair was dyed red, so he stood out. He was also wearing black earrings. Was that what she liked about him? Or was it his height? But Namjoon was taller. Now that he thought about it, he didn't even know Nari's type.
"Oooh I'm getting scared. What, are you going to punch me? Or push me and kill me? I know you guys come from influential families, but you won't get away with this. My dad is a judge–"
"Shut your trap, Jung. I'm not interested in your family professions. I'm here to warn you."
The jerk laughed and Namjoon was annoyed. He held him by the collar all of a sudden and they were both surprised. Namjoon hadn't realized how much he hated Han Seo until now. What was going on here? He didn't understand himself at all. However, he couldn't stop now because he needed to get his point across no matter what.
"Let go, Kim."
"Shut up and listen. Do not hurt Nari in any way or I swear to God I'll hurt you."
"Let go you b*tch!"
"You're the b*tch and if you do anything to hurt her, you'll regret it. I'll personally make sure of that!"
Then Namjoon finally let him go and Han Seo tripped on his feet before standing straight, then he fixed his shirt.
"Is this jealousy?" He asked calmly.
"What?"
"Are you doing this because you like her? You're jealous because she gives me attention and you're just the best friend."
"You don't know what you're talking about."
They stared at each other for a few seconds then Han Seo laughed. Namjoon was really pissed now and it was a strange feeling. He wasn't even bothered by the jerk anymore, it was what he said. Jealousy? How could Namjoon be jealous of him? It was utter bullshit.
"It's not like that, she is my best friend–"
"You really don't like her?"
"No, I don't!"
"Then why are you doing all this?"
"I'm only trying to protect her."
The other man laughed again and looked at Namjoon with an incredulous expression on his face. He definitely didn't believe him.
"Yeah, keep telling yourself that. But just so you know, you guys have the strangest relationship, along with that freshman, Jungkook. No one in this school understands you. But now I realize why. You have an interesting dynamic. I thought you both loved her but it's just you. I saw the way Jungkook looks up to you and he wouldn't dare have eyes for the girl you're in love with."

"What are you on about? Have you lost your mind already? I didn't even touch you yet."
He shook his head with a knowing smile, then turned around to leave, but he stopped.
"If you keep this up, you'll end up losing her to some loser like me."
Then he left. Namjoon stayed still for a few seconds, then ran his hands through his hair. What was this idiot talking about? What did he even know? Him? Liking Nari? That was impossible... right? Of course, it was...
Really? So why do you keep thinking about her? Why do you get flustered when she acts cute or hugs you? Why do you follow her everywhere? Why does your heartbeat keep increasing around her? Why are you constantly worried about who she is with? Why do you hate boys who talk to her? Should I go on?
Damn that wicked voice inside his head, Nari was just his best friend. How could he love her romantically? It was bound to fail anyway. She would never even look at him that way.
A moment later, when he got home, Nari was waiting for him in his bedroom and for the first time since he'd met her, he wished she was far away. He definitely didn't need to see her at the moment. Now his heartbeat was going crazy and his hands were aching to touch her, his lips were aching to kiss hers. He wanted her so much, it hurt. When did this happen? THEY WERE JUST FRIENDS!!! Why was he feeling this way about her?
"Namjoon, sweety, are you okay?"
He didn't answer and threw his backpack on the floor. He jumped on the bed and she sat next to him.
"What happened to you? Why are your eyes red?"
"I'm sleepy, that's all." He said, not looking at her.
Nari sighed then laid right next to him and hugged him. Namjoon was burning up. He was going to scream if she didn't stop, but how would he get her to stop? Touching each other was something that came naturally to them as they were so used to it. What would he tell her if she asked him why he didn't want her to touch him? He was so screwed...
"Namjoon?"
"Yes?"
"I'm sorry."
"For what?"
"Whatever is making you so agitated and worried."
"Agitated and worried?"
"I know you, remember? We've been friends for over 10 years, I know there's something going on."
He didn't speak for a few seconds, then he turned around to face her. She was so beautiful, she took his breath away every time he looked at her and he had just realized it.
"Nari, do you really like that guy?"
She stared at him and bit her lower lip. Then he saw tears in her eyes.
"Nari–"
"Is that why you're acting like this? Because I like someone else?"
"What?"
"You usually don't trust other boys around me, I know. But I really like him. Can you at least give him a chance? Please?"
For a second there, he thought... damn it that was close. He had just realized he had feelings for her, so she wouldn't know that already, right? Even though Jungkook had figured it out long ago, before Namjoon himself. Was he that obvious?
"He really isn't who you think he is, Nari. I don't want you to get hurt."
"Please?"
He watched her and thought about the conversation he just had with the other boy. He knew Han Seo liked Nari, but it just didn't feel right. He didn't seem like the kind of guy who would treat her well, listen to her, make her smile or put her first...
And you are that guy? Are you sure you'd make her happy? Are you man enough?
Namjoon sighed and nodded. She then smiled and hugged him. He almost cried. She didn't know what she did to him at that moment and he couldn't tell her either. Would he have to watch her date other men all his life? He'd eventually lose his mind!
A few weeks later, Namjoon and Jungkook were discussing what to eat at lunch since it was only the two of them. Nari had been dating the jerk for three weeks and she spent all her free time with him.
Jungkook wanted to eat at a restaurant, but Namjoon preferred to eat at school because he had to study later. Jungkook wasn't having it though.
"Don't be a baby, Kook. We can eat at your restaurant tonight if you want or during the weekend." Namjoon said as they were walking in the school's cafeteria.
"Do you promise?"
"I promise."
"I'll tell noona, maybe she'll want to join us. She also loves Brazilian food."
"I don't think she'd be available to hang out with us anytime soon–"
Namjoon got interrupted by a scream. He turned around and saw where it had come on from. Jungkook and him, along with everyone else watched the scene unfold, eyes wide open in shock.
Nari was standing, her foot on the face of some girl who was laying on the floor, screaming and crying. Han Seo and his friends looked horrified. Actually, Han Seo looked scared for his life. Nari seemed pissed, and when she was this pissed.... Things went wrong fast. Namjoon wanted to intervene, but Jungkook stopped him.
"Don't do anything hyung," he murmured, "they need to know who they're messing with."
He wanted to protest when Nari punched someone and the whole cafeteria went nuts. Some were happily celebrating while others were just too shocked to react. She had punched Han Seo and since he had been a jerk to almost everyone since he had arrived in this school, their reactions weren't surprising.
"Just because I like you doesn't mean I'll put up with your shit. Next time you see me, go the other way because I swear I'll beat your ass up every time we meet, Han Seo."
She took her foot off the poor girl's face and looked down at her with a smirk.
"I'm sorry, sweetie I didn't mean to hurt you, but since you can't keep your ugly ass mouth shut, I had to teach you a lesson. We're good?"
The girl got quickly on her feet and just ran out of the cafeteria. Nari watched her leave as she was laughing evilly.
"You are crazy." Han Seo breathed shakily.
Nari stopped laughing and took a step closer to him.
"I did tell you, didn't I? I told you that I wasn't completely normal, that crazy was an understatement when it came to me. You still went and tried me you b*tch!"
She lifted her fist to punch him again, but someone held it. She turned around, ready to throw hands, but it was Namjoon. Jungkook was right next to him and he was looking at Han Seo with a satisfied smile.
"That's enough, Nari. It'll be harder for your dad to make this go away, you know that."
"I don't care, I need to teach him a lesson!"
"No, you don't. You knew he was an asshole when you started dating him."
"What the hell, Namjoon? Whose side are you on?"
He held her wrist and pulled her towards him.
"Yours, of course. Now calm down, this jerk isn't worth it." He whispered into her ears.
She didn't say anything and just turned to give Han Seo and his friends a death glare.
"Stupid ass b*tch," she spat before turning away.
They left, Namjoon still holding her hand and Jungkook smiling happily as if he had just won the lottery.
"I'm starving let's eat out," Nari said.
"I have to study–"
"No one cares, Kim Nerdy." Nari interrupted. Then she grabbed his cheeks and pinched them. "We're eating out for lunch and even diner today. I'm inviting."
"Yes!!" Jungkook exclaimed happily.
"You two are trouble," Namjoon murmured when she finally let him go. "Fine, we're having lunch at the restaurant. But don't avoid your dad tonight, please."
"You know I have to. I just messed up and he'll give me an earful if I dine with him tonight. Let's postpone it to tomorrow."
Namjoon looked at her and sighed. There was no changing her mind at this point, he knew that much. He just didn't understand how it was so easy for her to cause trouble and not fear the consequences. The worse part was that Jungkook was just like her. They were double trouble. And of course, he had no choice but to follow them. They were family after all.
