"And that's the story," I breathe out, flashing a grin at Rose who is seemingly confused as she has her nose wrinkled.
"That's the book you're going to publish?" she asks, giving me a 'are you serious' look.
A chuckle left my lips as I nod at her. "Yeah, and I'm pretty proud of it."
"Well, don't get me wrong, it's actually a unique story but it's . . . " she trails off.
"It's what?" I motion for her to continue and out of the blue, she squeals like a teenager.
"It's so sad!"
"I know," I mumble under my breath.
Rose covers her cheeks with her hands as she daydreams in her little world, a massive smile curled up on her face and eyes up in the ceiling. I shake my head at her silliness and take a sip of my yummy coffee.
"I wonder where you got the idea from," I hear her say as I set my cup down the table, my attention diverting on her. She blinks a few times as she waits for me to speak up.
I glide my tongue over my bottom lip and say, "I used to play SimSimi all the time. I just got it from there and thought it was a brilliant idea."
"Why did you make the ending sad?" She pouts.
"Because there's no such thing as a happy ending."
"Deep," she chuckles and continues, "Oh, which reminds me, are you dating someone?"
A slight tingle went up my spine and I give her a surprised look, eyes wide. "You know I'm not into that stuff."
"Why not?"
Because I only love one person..
"I-"
"Excuse me, here's your bill," a voice cuts me off. I look up and was greeted by a warm smile. "Oh, thank you." I take the check holder from his hand and set it down on the table so I can get my wallet.

"I'll pay," Rose offers.
"No, don't worry. It's my time to shine," I reassure her as I take my wallet out of my purse.
Afterwards, my eyes went over to the black check holder with the coffee shop's name engraved on it. As soon as I flipped it open, my heart stopped, the world stopped moving. The erratic air coming out between my lips was the only thing I can hear at this point. I pull the holder closer with my trembling hand and that's when I feel it all coming back. A tear slides down my cheek and I smile, staring at the white note inside the check holder in awe.

She likes the idea of waking up in the middle of her favourite book with the handsome, brooding Mr Thornton glaring at people in his mill yard, but she doesn't worry about the foul air of dirty, smoky Milton, because it's not real, and it was written over 160 years ago.But then she takes a trip to Oxford, and gets waylaid along the way, finding herself greeted at a smoky train station, by a man called Mr Hale, who claims to be her godfather. When Isabel meets Margaret and first sees Mr Thornton, she's determined to help the course of love run a little more smoothly for the two stubborn lovers. But Gaskell hadn't accounted for a second young lady in the Crampton house, and whilst Isabel tries to adapt to a life where women have no independence or equality, Milton must adapt to her. The question is, will Mr Thornton adapt to her, or Margaret, first?
