《I Wonder - Zelink Modern AU》Sleep Over

"No thank you, I'm going home with Link today" Zelda politely turned down a request from a few classmates to walk her home.
"When do you not? You two are together so much, it's actually kinda creepy" One of the girls said.
"Well... It's always been that way. I'm sure you have someone like that in your life. Anyway, I best not be late. Gotta go!" She hurried off so she wouldn't keep Link waiting at the gates.
She was staying at Link's that night, as her parents were out of town and Link had the house to himself.
"Link!" She shouted as she ran up to him, waving her arm back and forth. "Sorry I'm late. Got a little held up in class"
Link wasn't much of a talker, but when he did speak, his voice kind and soft, even reassuring.
"It's okay. Are you all ready to go?" He asked, seeing the massive bag Zelda had brought, even though it was only for one night.
"Ready as I'll ever be!" Zelda was more hyper than usual, she was so exited to finally stay at a friends house overnight.
They started walking to Link's house at a reasonable pace, and arrived within 30 minutes. There wasn't much conversation, as usual, but the two were so close that words weren't needed. Link felt extremely awkward, he'd been embarrassed ever since he saw Zelda with loads of things, and he'd never had anyone at his house for so long before.
Link took a few minutes to unlock the door, his hands were shaking for some unknown reason and he couldn't concentrate.
"Oh god..." He heard Zelda say. He turned around to look in the direction she was looking, and saw a few girls he'd seen around school.
"Is everything okay?" He stopped what he was doing to put full concentration on Zelda.
"Those girls... They're pretty vocal about... Certain topics" She put her head down and shook it, before noticing that the girls had spotted them.
Link gave the keys to Zelda, and she knew that he was implying that she'd go and open the door whilst he kept an eye on them.
She was obviously getting nervous, and started to fumble like Link was doing a second ago.
"Is Zelda at that quiet kids house?" One of them muttered.

"If you weren't new here, you'd be completely used to it"
Zelda randomly grabbed Link and shoved him behind a bush, he was in a place where the girls hadn't seen him, and Zelda wanted it to stay that way.
"Zel, what are you doing here?" They were the people who'd keep Zelda company when her and Link went to different classes.
"Exactly what it looks like, I'm visiting a friend" She gulped hard.
"Didn't we tell you to drop Link? What's so special about him anyway?"
"He's my friend. I'm not going to just leave him because you told me so" She stood up tall with her head held high, her princess status over-powering everyone.
"Whatever. See you in class" They walked off, and left the area.
Zelda helped Link out of the bush after apologizing and unlocking the door.
"I'm so sorry! That really wasn't necessary. I don't know what came over me, all of my morals left me there for a second" She laughed as she pulled him out, noticing that Link was blushing slightly as she grabbed his hand.
They both went inside as Link locked the door behind them. He was aware of his red face, but he was embarrassed and flustered all the time anyway, so it wouldn't effect anything.
Link's house was small and only had a few rooms, but it was cosy and Zelda really liked it. She was a little less enthusiastic than she was before, but the excitement was still there.
She put her bag down and started pulling out the things she brought. It was like she brought her whole wardrobe and enough toiletries for several people. Not to mention all the books and movies she brought.
"Why did you bring so much clothes?" Link asked, kneeling down to help her unpack Narnia.
"I didn't know what I was going to wear tomorrow, so I just thought I'd bring a few different choices" She said, happily.
"This must've been heavy... I'll carry it tomorrow. I'll give it back to you when we get to your house" Link said, still getting the clothes out of the bag.
"No, it's okay" She said, standing up and rubbing her hands together.
Link held his hand out and lightly touched her shoulder. It was so light that any other person wouldn't had felt it at all.

Zelda immediately backed away. Although she only slightly felt it, she knew that her shoulders were in pain. But at the same time, she knew that Link would never do anything to hurt her and trusted him.
"It's going to bruise. I'm carrying it tomorrow" Link smiled at her as he confirmed that he'd never hurt her.
She felt at ease, she was always comfortable with Link.
Zelda had brought a few pairs of pajamas in her bundle of clothes, and was wondering which ones to wear.
"What do you think? Pandas, llamas, or penguins?" She held them in front of Link.
"It's 5 pm, you know" Link laughed as he thought about Zelda in animal pajamas, but then he started blushing again.
"Pajamas are so much comfier than regular clothes. Don't even deny it!" She said, dropping the pjs and pointing at him.
"Preach!" He pointed back and chuckled again, raising his eyebrows.
Zelda picked up the ones with the pandas on it, and walked into the bathroom to get changed. Link tried to calm down a bit before she was ready, she was adorable and made him blush anyway, but with pajamas that had pandas on them, every bit of his skin would go bright red.
I can't stop thinking about her in ways that are more than friends. I need to stop getting so embarrassed. She clearly sees what she does to me, yet she never mentions it. I can't tell if she's teasing me, or helping me.
The bathroom door unlocked as Zelda walked out.
"Ta-da! What do you think?" She twirled around as her hair followed behind her. Link stared silently but a warm smile came across his face. "I hope that's speechless in a good way!" Link swallowed hard, but nodded his head at the same time.
Zelda handed him the penguin pajamas. "Or would you prefer llamas?" She said, smiling.
"Zelda... These are female pajamas" He said, taking them off her anyway.
"So? No one's going to see you but me. Chop chop!" She clapped her hands as she saw his facial expression change from confused to nervous.
Link took his top off, resulting in Zelda turning away and making a squeal sound. Link didn't quite understand why, and was afraid something was wrong with her.
"Are you alright? Has something happened?" He panicked, his voice shaking.
"Is the top on?" She asked, peeking around before turning back to face the opposite way again.
"No, not yet, but are you okay? You seemed-" Zelda cut him off by shouting.
"Just put the damn top on!" Link quickly did as she said and stood behind her awkwardly.
"I'm done" He said.
Zelda span around as she cocked her head in awe at Link in penguin pajamas.
He went into the bathroom and changed into the pants as well. Surprisingly, it was a decent fit, and he didn't look half bad.
"You're so adorable!" Zelda squealed, her cheeks turning red.
Seeing Zelda blushing made Link blush, so he looked away and scratched the back of his head
"You really think so?" He said, laughing from embarrassment.
He walked over to the TV and turned it on, then sat on his bean bag. Zelda followed along after him but knelt down instead.
"I wanna watch a horror film!" Zelda randomly came out with whilst she brought several from her stash.
"What? Why a horror film?" Link asked, they'd both never been big movie fans anyway, and horror wasn't up their alley.
"Isn't that what people do at sleepovers? I heard some of the girls talk about it at school, and that's what they said. Snuggling up with a blanket and getting scared out of your mind!" Link would normally reject this offer, but the idea of him snuggling up with Zelda and being there when she's scared made him agree.
Link went and got a couple of blankets, a couple of pillows, and also brought out some snacks. Zelda was spending all that time deciding what film to watch, and making the perfect setup for everything. By the end of the preparation, the room was the very definition of aesthetically pleasing.
"Wow, you did well" Link said to Zelda as he dumped down the junk food next to the layout of duvets and pillows.
"Didn't I? Anyway, We're going to watch Jeepers Creepers, if that's alright with you?" Zelda said holding up the case.
"Yeah, fine with me" Link said as he got under the duvet and waited for Zelda to play the film.

System Prime
The legend of System Prime is one that has been told and retold many times over the eons. About how she, along with her trusted partner, travelled the worlds of Ahunna (a.hoon.a), sharing the [Gift of System] to all who needed it. It is a great story. Somewhat factual too. As long as you overlook the fact that System Prime was never a woman. —— If this story seems familiar to you, then congratulations, you're psychic. Well, that or you've read it before on my old account, Eli8iR, which I had to delete because of a probably silly reason that will need a shitton of weed to make me spill. If you don't recognize this story, then unfortunately you're not psychic. On the bright side though, it has been scientifically proven that reading my stories might make you psychic. Or blind. But that only happened twice, and those guys should not have badmouthed my work. Enjoy.
