《Dear Spellbook (Link to rewrite in blurb)》Book 2 is live!

Tal's last name is Binder, and his mother's ship clan was changed to Elmheart.
On the way to Crossroads, the party fights off a Kobold attack. It shows everyone's abilities well at the start of the story.

Tal uses his magic a lot more casually through the story.
It is revealed why Tal's mother was cast out of her clan. She was given an amulet that lets sorcerers resist the Avatar's taint when they go on land, but it didn't work, so she was cast out. They didn't know what it meant, but couldn't risk her presence onboard.
Runes were removed from some places I ended up not expounding on. The baths for one. I originally planned for Tal to experiment on the runes in the bath a lot. This is also the reason the bath chapter had a long description of the room (which has been pointed out as excessive in comments and reviews, haha).
The Edgewater Arc was moved to be evenly spread throughout Book 1, instead of a large block at the start of book 2. No significant changes were made to that story.
Tal gained an ability called Willsight back when he overdosed on potions of clarity. At first, it blinded him, covering the world in a gray haze, but he soon learned to dial it in so he could see Will in the world. This functioned like a mana sight in other stories, but had limitations. When its active, it slows his casting, and extended use causes headaches. This ability allowed me to better explain a lot about magic and runes. There were lots of minor changes to the magic system. Mostly fixing inconsistencies and they aren't worth spelling out. You shouldn't have any trouble following.
The Willsight stuff is introduced in almost entirely new chapters. I'll link them below, and I suggest reading them.

I fleshed out Tal's interactions with a baker, who now sells pretzels. It comes back up in book 2 in a few minor ways, but is not significant otherwise.
I added a Seeker and Tower Wizard interaction. This also comes up later in book 2. This is in chapter 9 below.

A second ogre was added to the harpy fight as part of a move to make the battle more climactic.
The progression of Tal's air magic takes a different route, but ends up in same place as the original. I needed paced out of the advancement differently.
The interlude Mason Ants was added.

There is an interlude as an epilogue written by the Dahns previous inhabitants. You should just go read this, it's very short.

Dagmar is now a female dwarf. There were a lot of reasons I decided to change this, but the biggest was that it made character interactions a lot better. There was a dynamic I was planning between Dagmar and one of Tal's companions, and it worked much better with Dagmar as a woman. Once I made the change, writing Dagmar's dialogue became much easier.
Some spells were renamed to better align with D&D. I really don't know why I changed them.
Updraft -> Slow Fall Ghost Light -> Light Light Cantrip -> Glow or Torch Arcane Armor -> Mage Armor Knit -> Mend Conjure added - Cantrip of the Font of Space Tal can summon objects on his person to his hand with lots of restrictions.
I also wrote a bonus chapter that's not directly tied to the main story. It ended up being a rough draft of a Book 2 interlude.

Emancipation - An Isekai Story
When they tell you 'a hero was summoned'. Do they expound on what it takes to truly be moved? Does it make sense to rip a hole within reality into another dimension, to a planet billions of galaxies away, and accurately transport a single person(s)? No, well truth be told, it takes a whole lot to summon anyone so far away, maybe it might take an attempt in summoning of a Dark God, to transport him. Then again they never tell you about what it means to travel between Dark Matter. Or what horrors exist there. Cover by Red Bluebery! I am a new writer, I am trying to find my style of writing. The Magitons
Book 3 of the Universe Series This novel continues the adventure from the previous novel, Ocean of Dreams. Each novel is meant to stand alone. Widhbo ( pronounced "wee bow") is a MC who will be in each of the six novels in the main series. The starship Sora had been hurtling through space using its FTL propulsion system toward the Dezba star system for over a decade since leaving the planet Beldora of the Hellsaxe system. The Sora had crash landed on Beldora over a century earlier carrying a couple of aliens from another dimension. The ship came from the Borrugal Realm, a band world associated with what was known as the Tor Galaxy, what we call the Milky Way. Human life on Beldora was never the same. Under the influence of the alien known as Widhbo, Beldora was catapulted from the steam age to the space age. The majority of the scientific advances on Beldora were attributed to the leadership of a brilliant man, Jejliard Castonea, who was secretly manipulated by the alien, Widhbo. When rapid advances in technology inadvertently led to a nuclear war, Jejliard decided to evacuate his family, friends and co-workers on the Sora. The plan was to find a new habitable planet and rebuild civilization until they could safely return home. Much to his despair, Jejliard’s family and friends opted to stay on Beldora to ride out the war underground. Even the other alien, Gengor, stayed behind. Borrowing technology stored in the archives of the Sora, Widhbo managed to transfer the personalities of those staying on the planet into digital storage units known as magitons which could survive indefinitely in cold, sterile space. Living crew members who elected to stay on board the Sora were also uploaded to ensure immortality for everyone in case their life support systems failed en route. Widhbo sought to design a cyber paradise for everyone inside their virtual worlds, but things never go as planned where Widhbo is concerned.
