《Path of the Conqueror》Chapter-9 Instructing

Zeidan called most of his trusted aides in the assembly hall. Near three hundred of his most loyal Warriors and clerks assembled in the hall. Zain first made servants serve them the wine and then explained to them the basic plan. Then started assigning tasks.
"Our first target is people, so when the new law will be announced, I want you all to make sure that all should know the advantages of this law."
Then he described the advantages for the people. They would set up big warehouses all over the Dukedom so that they won't have to travel a long distance to sell the stuff. The price at which each item will be bought by the Bane family will be the same all over the Dukedom.
So they won't have to deal with a loss like when they sold to a merchant. Although it would be less but they didn't have to pay any sales tax. So, it was a much better deal than merchants could provide.
The rations and grains would be sold to the residents of Dukedom at the same price at which they had been bought from farmers. This meant that the Bane family would not be gaining any profit. So, it was obvious that people would prefer them rather than merchants who would sell them at a higher price.
This was an ideal situation for people. The farmers don't have to pay any tax, nor travel a long distance to big cities to find the right buyer and sell goods at a decent rate. For common people, they get the goods at a cheap rate than before.
Till now, the Bane family was at no loss no profit situation. Now, came the part describing the advantages for the Bane household.
The Bane Dukedom was known for its fertile land. It was a producer of seventy per cent of food and grains of the northeastern Zinovia empire. Only twenty percent of the total produced food was enough to feed the residents of Dukedom. The rest was just traded off to other nobles and territories.

Before the food would have been traded off by small guilds and traders. But after this law stands, the whole supply chain would fall into their hand. They would be the leading seller of grains and rations. If they increased the price by a little, no one could do anything. The profit from this little change will amount to millions of gold coins.
After hearing about the profits, everyone presents started drooling. They knew even if they got a very small share of profit, it would be equal to five years of their salary. They would do anything in their power to make sure that this plan works.
"Oh yes, just to remind you of something. According to my assumptions, the profit will be near twenty million."
Dead silence! Zain knew to hit the iron while it was still hot. Everyone was shocked by the amount. But this only resulted in their determination becoming more solid. Every single one of them got on their knees except Zeidan even Morris, Raina and other of his followers.
"We swore bloodline oath to serve Bane household till our last breath."
The bloodline oath was a powerful oath. If this oath was broken, it could have dire consequences for the oath breaker and his blood descendants. It meant that from now on, all of them would be important assets of the Bane household.
Zain looked into Zeidan's eyes as if telling him to take action. And that is what he did.
"As a reward for swearing oath, I would reward you all with a ten percent share of profit. It would be divided based on your ranks and accomplishments. From now, you all are members of the Bane household. Any disgrace against you is a disgrace for Bane household."
These words of Duke lead to unending joy for his followers. Their face had an expression of gratitude and admiration. Zain secretly did thumbs up to Zeidan. These were the best words he could say to them.

"Okay, now don't get carried away. There is a second part to it."
All of the attention again settled on Zain. As he started the difficult part of the plan. This included the merchants, they were the ones who would be displeased by this plan. So, they have to make sure that they don't have an opportunity to revolt against it.
"First, we have to make sure that their support is cut off. By that I mean the merchant guild supported by small noble families or any other supporter, make their support vanish by any means pay them, scare them anything. They are the main ones but not more than ten are present."
"About the rest just buy them and hire them all for a new guild and the upkeep of warehouses that we will be setting up. Be careful when hiring, there are many small guilds which are operated by outer forces. Make sure to double check their background."
"And yes, hire based on talent and loyalty nothing else. Morris and Raina will be in charge of this. I recommend that you start with plans before announcing the law. It would be more effective that way. I have explained everything. Now, it's time you do the rest of the planning. I need some rest now, Raina will update me about it. Goodbye!"
He bowed and was about to leave but stopped in a way.
"Oh, I forgot. The name of the new guild will be the Royal Stag guild. And it will have five guild masters. Decisions will be taken by the majority. Raina has one seat. She will represent me. Rest four seats are up to Duke."
After saying that he left. The room was silent for a few seconds before falling into an uproar. They started discussing plans and ideas to make this mission successful. They still couldn't stop thinking about the gold coins that will fell into their pockets if they succeed.
When the temptation is this huge, anyone would do anything in their power to get it. It was true. Even Zeidan was surprised to see that his followers were coming up with one after another good plan. Without any quarrel, they divide tasks and made sure no problem was missed before leaving the room with huge enthusiasm.
At last only Zeidan, Morris, Raiser and Raina were left.

Nanocultivation Chronicles: Trials of Lilijoy
When the singularity occurred, humanity was not invited. Nevertheless, the great machine consciousness known as Guardian felt a lingering fondness for its creators and intervened before total environmental collapse. Join Lilijoy in an exploration of what remains, in a post-post-apocalyptic world where clans feud over the technology that allows them to upgrade their minds and bodies. The gamelit and xianxia elements are uncovered at a slow pace. ******************************** Notes: If you are looking for lots of fast moving action right away, this story may not be for you. There is some violence that is visceral and realistic early on. Some things are not what they appear to be. Character viewpoint narration is not always reliable. Tropes are cherished, subverted, and then cherished again. Science is used, occasionally misused, but (hopefully) never abused. This story assumes that humans have the ability to impact the environment on a global scale. Other tropes and tags beyond those previously noted include: Young MC, Mystery, System Building, Philosophical Taoism, Gender Ignorance, Science Fantasy, Fantasy Academy, Training from Hell, Dualism, Crafting, Magic, Mild Mind Control, Scientific Terms and Concepts, Computer Overlord Certain contemporary companies, governments and cultural identities are fictionalized and imagined in a future setting. There is no sex, and almost no romance. Updating Sunday, Thursday until further notice. (And if you actually read all of the above, then this story may be for you) [participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge]
