The Great Trial brought ruin and death to the Old World. Few records remain of that time when creatures from beyond the Boundary descended on the unsuspecting masses. However, from the chaos, an Aspect emerged, a champion of mankind's might.
Who was the Father before he ascended? Why did mankind show such a startling aptitude for mana? What really happened in the darkest years of the Great Trial?
A young man seeks the Father out, driven by an ancient pact and the hope of his people. In his heart, he yearns for the answers to the questions of the age yet the truth often differs from expectation and the god-like figure has a long list of sins.
Warning: The Urban Fantasy and Post-Apocalypse tags will be hinted at but not overt until the 3rd arc which starts at Advent 3.1: The Great Dream. The Gamelit aspects come into play in the 4th arc.
