《Blood and Honor: Ascension》Prelude- All it Takes...

I starred out at the endless expanse of energy. It was both beautiful and terrifying, but it no longer scared me. I have no idea how long I had been here, but I had eventually gotten to this point that I could think and feel. While a part of me was scared by the view in front of me, the majority of me was just enjoying the view.
I knew for a fact a long time had passed, but I simply didn't care. I wasn't hungry, tired, happy, sad, I just felt awe at what I was watching and content in doing so until I ceased to be. Then the serenity of the place was interrupted by something I hadn't seen ever...I don't think so anyway. My memories aren't the best, I know it should worry me, but the lights keep me busy and entertained.
I blue and white hole appeared in the space nearby and a person strode through. She was tall, nearly as tall as I was, but her eyes were similar to the energy all around us. "Sister where are---YOU!!!' She yelled both surprised and angered at the sight of me. 'WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE!!! YOU ARE SUPPOSED TO BE DEAD!!!" She bellowed as she pointed at me.
I smiled at her and waved, "Relax, layback, and enjoy the view. The next sequence is about to start!!" I pointed to the energy as a wave of red and blue slammed together setting off a series of explosions that washed over everything.
"YOU FUCKING---" She started but my friend appeared and slapped the intruder across the face silencing her.
"He is a guest sister, unlike you, he asked to come here and stay. I obliged him. Now before you ask, both mom and dad are aware that he is here.' our host told the new visitor who stood there stunned at what she said. 'They said he was welcome to stay here as long as he wanted to. I just couldn't influence him in staying or keep him from going. As you can see, he is fine staying here." my friend told the intruder.
"Look, why don't you just pull up a seat and enjoy the view, it is very interesting and enjoying to watch!!' I told the intruder then looked at my friend. 'Not to mention calming after a while." I told her with a wink causing her to smile.
The intruder studied me, "Have you forgotten everything? Do you not care at all about your people, your wife, your child!' she sneered at me as she closed with me. 'Do you want to hear how they screamed and plead for their lives as they died!!" Something snapped inside me and I exploded forward, my talons writhed in red energy as they were buried in her guts slicing upwards as I punched her in the face over and over as I screamed in rage and hate. Then suddenly I was flung backward by bands of multi-colored bands of energy.
The vast expanse of energy was now dormant and our host stared at the intruder, "Leave now or I will tear you apart Chaos and add you back into the Proto Energy that drives everything. If you are a good girl I will let you gather yourself after ten thousand years. GO!" I was trying to regain control as I pushed the anger and energy back and regaining control of myself as everything came crashing down on me. Chaos gave me a smug smile as all the damage I had inflicted on her was repaired. She snapped her fingers and a Portal snapped into existence and she was gone.

"I am sorry for that Jacob. You were almost ready, but I was being cautious. Awakening as a God, even as a Lesser-Minor God can be jarring. Add into the change all the people praying and worshiping you. It almost destroyed you.' She sadly stated as she studied me. 'Are you ok Jacob?" she asked me as I looked around at my surroundings and didn't even come close to recognizing anything.
"Who are you? Where are we? How long have I been here?" I asked her as I took in the vast ocean of endless energies and multi-colored clouds around us.
My memories were fragmented from my time here, but from what I did remember I had never seen her cry as I did now, "How much do you remember? Do you remember Earth and where you are?' she asked me and I nodded causing her to sigh in relief. 'Think of this as that holds everything together. This is the Proto Energy that creates all the Monsters, Beasts, Dungeons, random events throughout Ithea. I am in charge of making sure it gets to where it is needed and drives the world. Only Adam, Eve, and the Primordials are even aware of this place, or can even get here. Gods are born here, but once they reach a certain point, I kick them out to live their existence in Ithea." She explained and I nodded my head in understanding and gestured for her to continue.
She gestured and two chairs materialized before us and we both sat down. "You have to understand Jacob, you were never supposed to become a god, the Mantle tore you apart a thousand different times, this is why you were brought here. Here it could happen and you wouldn't be completely destroyed. I could put you back together as the Mantle healed and destroyed you time and time again until you both accepted each other.' she explained while looked nervously around. 'For a god or goddess to be born, it takes time and a lot of energy. Your personality, the Mantle was all there, it just had too all come together and that took time, a lot of time." she explained and I frowned.
"How long was I here?" I pressed her causing her to look away.
"Listen, time here is accelerated but you were in here for ten thousand years.' she explained and I froze trying to control my emotions. 'I am sorry Jacob, but a thousand years have passed and the Ithea you knew is long gone. In some ways, it is still the same, but the Immortals don't exist anymore. Long ago Balance and the others offered to give them a chance to become Mortal and have real lives, children, and such based on what we learned from your experience. The vast majority accepted the change and fully integrated with this world. Those few Immortals that refused were isolated from the majority of the populace. As you can imagine they were not the best, but their power was nothing compared to the Primordials." I just sat back stunned at what I had learned a thousand years gone in a blink of an eye...
"My family, the war, what happened?" I asked stunned at the revelation I had just learned.

"It...happened. The Chaos War occurred, the all-out invasion was eventually defeated but it scared all three continents on Ithea, hundreds of thousands died over the fifty years of fighting. Eventually, Chaos and her forces were defeated, all her Chaos Lords were killed, she was banished to her Plane and forbidden entry on the Mortal Plane or any other Plane by the other Primordials under the threat of death.' She winced as she continued. 'After that, the Gods War occurred, every Pantheon rose-up and fought each other. Dozens of gods and goddesses died during the fighting, even more Mortals did as well causing even more damage to Ithea until the Primordials stepped in and threatened to kill them all if they didn't stop the fighting and sign a peace treaty. Zeus rules over Arakon, Ra oversees Jingoon, and Odin managed to maintain control over Mortihiemer. Due to the Gods War, the Races were pretty much reset and they are slowly recovering from both devastating wars." the woman explained leaving me worried about the state the Empire and its people.
"The Empire, did it survive?" I asked her and she shook her head.
"Everything you built and knew is gone, Jacob. Every kingdom fell to the Chaos War or the God War. None of the kingdoms or empires survived the onslaught of chaos and destruction from those years completely intact.' she replied and I sagged in defeat. Everything I had built, all the death and destruction, gone in an eyeblink for me. 'There is no going back Jacob and its time for you to go. You have to return to the Material Plane." She stated as a Portal opened up behind her and I started to move towards it. Not willingly but forced by an implacable power I did not understand or control.
"Wait please, send me back to my family!! Please!!" I begged her and she cried.
"I am sorry Jacob, but Time magic doesn't exist. It can be slowed, but not stopped or turned back. Good luck Jacob, find happiness and move on. Don't let this destroy you." she warned as I hit the portal and everything dissolved into bright white light as I was taken away.
The white light destroyed me and put me back together until with a jolt a was surrounded by darkness and I could feel again. The air smelled musty and dusty and like it hasn't been aired out in a while. Little details started to come into detail as my Dark Eye Skill kicked in highlighting details around me. Being a Vampire did have some perks, being able to see in darkness being one. What it revealed to me caused me to freak out a little as I hit the lid in front of me instinctively.
Five blows were all it took for the stone cover to crack allowing fresh air to rush into my sarcophagus. I looked around and started throwing chunks of stone around randomly to trigger any traps, but based on the number of skeletons around me, anything had already been long triggered. I was laying in a glowing pool of liquid Mana, beyond that, the skeletons, a vacant armor stand, nothing existed within the chamber. I studied the shards of metal near the armor stand and winced in recognition of the Blood Lords Armor set. It had been destroyed and based on the sword hilt, Moonlight was gone as well.
I easily jumped out of the sarcophagus and onto dry land. I knew exposure to raw Mana was bad for Mortals, I had no idea if it was bad for gods, but I wasn't going to take a chance. I moved over to the remains of the armor and sword and shook my head in disgust. It was a complete waste, I would have expected someone to steal them, not destroy them. The only thing left was the handle of the blade and a few inches of what had been a longsword. A part of me wanted to take it, but it represented everything I had lost and I was hesitant to take along a reminder of such. In the end, I tossed the handle and as many shards as I could scavenge into my inventory as I pulled up my World Map. I was deep in the Dark Lands, or what had been the Dark Lands, who knew what it was called now. Just based on the World Map along I could see differences in the current world state.
I had several notifications waiting for me as well so I brought those up as I closed the World Map.
