POV Change - Damien Nether
After all the greetings were given and he had received all the presents they had brought for him, he had to see off his guests and when they got to the last family, Selena's family, his Mother and Father hugged Selena's while Damien simply said goodbye while flashing a smile at the green-haired pink-eyed girl who returned the smile and said goodbye and at that, the Estrom family had left and had started upon their journey back to the north of Tyra.
After the event, Damien wondered back to his room. But not before a long and drawn out hug from his father and (especially) his mother.
Standing in his room, Damien let out a tired sigh.
'That was tiring, speaking to all those guests and making sure I was performing the proper etiquette really drained me, this younger body just keeps showing the disadvantages it has to offer...Oh well, onto the reason I was looking so forward to this day!'
As Damien thought this, he sat down in the proper position for Devil Cultivating and looked at the Devil Seed in his heart and thought that compared to 4 years ago, the Seed was much more robust and concentrated with Devil Qi than before.
If before it was like a match, then now it was like a big bonfire, it continuously gave out nourishing Devil Qi and put it into the blood pumped through the heart to strengthen the body.
This was the first step in Devil Cultivation.
It's where you make your foundation for your future cultivation and the more stable and deep it is, the better and the further the distance you could travel down the path of Devil Cultivation. The main thing that Devil Cultivators focus on is the strength of the body, the stronger the body, the more Devil Qi it can hold and the more Devil Arts you can use, also a stronger body is essential when a Devil Cultivator wishes to survive Heavenly Tribulations that aim to them at every major Breakthrough.
Although Damien was smaller than the Average man, he still had more strength than them, this was the result of 3 years of slow foundation building and body strengthening, if you measured his body strength it was at 200kg, which made him quite strong when compared to normal people but compared to strength-focused Metahumans, it was like a fly's strength compared to an Elephants.

As he was searched through his head to look for the training method for the "Immortal Devil King Technique" he found it and read through it
'Hmm seems like there are 5 Human Limiters that I have to remove and there's a specific order to it as well, the order and limiters are: Muscle Limiter, Bone Limiter, Organ Limiter, Brain Limiter and Finally the Heart Limiter.'
Damien looked further into the details on the limiter he could currently unlock before reading it to himself mentally.
'The first stage takes away the limiters on the muscles, allowing you to use 100% of your muscles and their strength, this would effectively increase my strength up to 650kg, which is a big increase...okay, let's try to remove the Limiter! It says to imagine a chain wrapped around each of your muscles and you need to move all your muscles with as much power as you can until the chain snaps, if you stop at any time, the chain will go back to the state it was in at the start, well then, let's give it a go...'
"Ahh!"
As Damien yanked on the chains attached to his muscles, he was assaulted by horrendous pain which felt like someone had started to flay his muscles apart. But he grit his teeth and ignored it, knowing from the information in his head that this was normal.
"Ahhhh!"
In response to the pain Damien tried even hard, he steeled his resolve knowing the oncoming pain will be even more terrifying and maddening than the previous times.
*Creak Creak*
"Ahhh! Urgh!"
As Damien heard the chains limiting his muscles starting to creak and deform from the pressure he was exerting, he tried even harder, pushing his muscles to their very limits but at the price of causing his blood to spurt out of his nose like a tiny geyser and even a thin layer of blood was covering his body.
While he was doing this he was circulating his Devil Qi in the way that the "Immortal Devil King Technique" showed him.
This helped increase the pressure on the chains and increase the effects of his own struggles and as he thought about how he was getting closer, he circulated the Devil Qi faster and faster while trying even harder with his muscles to break the chains limiting him.
While he thought about something limiting him, he was incensed. His arrogance and unruly nature from his previous life pulling through once again and pushing him into a manic state.

'How dare mere limiters chain me down! I'll show it that it cannot hold down a Devil King! On my path to becoming the Immortal Devil King, nothing stands in front of me, not even something placed on my by the Heavens! If the Heavens stand in my way, I'll crush them just like anything else that feels like it can stand between me, a Devil King, and whatever I want!'
As he was roaring this in his head, as if it could understand his intent, the Devil Seed and the "Immortal Devil King Technique" Devil Qi Circulating method merged together, to make something only the "Immortal Devil King Technique" could make, the True Devil Heart, this 'Heart' was like an upgraded Devil Seed and it let him better use his Devil Qi and to hold more Devil Qi in his heart, it would also let him exert more power with his Devil Qi and this allowed Damien to exert more pressure on the chains limiting him
"Break" *Creak*
"I said, BREAK!"
*Creak Crack*
"Did you not hear me? I said BREAK!"
*Crack*
*SNAP*
Like a roar from a Primordial Beast, Damien roared out while tilting his head up towards the Heavens, while Covered in Blood and his eyes completely bloodshot red along with those Beast-like Eyes, he looked exactly like an Ancient Devil that was out for blood and would get it no matter what.
( Author note: Kinda lucky that his room is pretty much soundproof~ )
Then as he was about to pass out, a warm wave of energy washed through him.
Specifically through his muscles.
The energy healed all the rips and tears in them and even strengthened them to a level higher than his previous muscles by leaps and bounds. If his previous muscles were akin to a rope made from scrap metal wires, then his new muscles were like powerful steel cables that wrapped around his body to create a perfect musculature.
This was the realm where he'd taken off his Muscle Limiters and it signified that he had just started on the path of the Immortal Devil King.
The layer of blood on his body was absorbed back into his skin where his muscles greedily gobbled it up to give themselves the energy their new evolutions had taken from them. This was an effect of the "Immortal Devil King Technique".
It was a sub-art of the "Immortal Devil King Technique" called "Blood Devil Body" it's quite tedious to train as it needs the blood of strong beasts/people with a lot of life energy or vitality to actually temper the body, so it'll take a long time for him to start practicing it because he has to reach the necessary strength to kill the Mutant Beasts that have the blood that can help his training.
After thinking about this, he got up off ground and went to have a bath because although his body has healed after breaking the limiter, his mind is completely drained of all energy, so he was having a bath, to relax and let his mind unwind. As soon as he was done, he came out of the bathroom and dried himself off, he put on some underwear and got on his bed and passed out.
POV Change - ???
"Haha he's doing it, he's going against the Heavens and their infernal designs!"
A mad voice filled with all kinds of weird emotions said, followed by more shrill laughter, it was hard to tell whether it was either a male or a female
"Shut up you mad prick! I'd be surprised if the rest of the Galaxy couldn't hear you. Although I too am surprised he's practicing that technique, how amusing"
Said another voice that was deep, calm and majestic, like all those who heard it must obey, the emotions it conveyed were at first anger for the previous voices loudness and shrill laughter but then it faded away into conveying its amusement at the way things were playing out on their little project
"Let's just hope he doesn't let us down, we've been waiting for a few centuries for something this exciting to happen"
This time it was a completely different voice from the other two. If the first one sounds Erratic and Annoying, and the second voice sounded Aloof and Majestic, then this voice sounded like the perfect balance between the two, in fact, it sounded quite normal but as soon as it spoke, the other two voices stopped their bickering and laughing and kept quiet, as if the third voice was something they would never dare anger.

Apparently, even heaven had the odd clerical error. Which was not something Nathaniel Miller would have expected, and yet, that seemed to be exactly what had happened to him. No one, however, had specified how different this world would be from his, sure they had said the tech would be a little older, and there were other small anomalies. They probably referred to all the fantasy elements and magic that seemed to be part of this world. Still, he was determined to do better this time around, after all, chances like this were next to unheard of...

The Ingress Estate
Jonathon Eucole. Soldier. Scholar. Now an Initiate, the dedication without dedication, he finds himself both prisoner and master of an arcane edifice, the Ingress Estate, which can neither be escaped, nor controlled; only diverted, maintained, and pacified. This is a gothic fantasy story, set in a world in which gods and the afterlife are not only real and known, but were both established in living memory of some of the inhabitants after millennia of arcane warfare with the being who constructed the mundane reality the humans occupy. But this isn't the story of those who colonized the afterlife at the cost of their own humanity, but a somewhat more ordinary man, in somewhat extraordinary circumstances. This is also a LitRPG-lite, which means there's a system of sorts, fragments of which can be observed through Jonathon's eyes. Don't expect level-up screens, or statistics, or indeed numbers much at all, beyond those the inhabitants of the world itself apply to understanding their own reality. It pretty much doesn't matter to the story, I mention it so those who don't want to read LitRPG at all can successfully avoid it here. I don't have any particular plan here, just some ideas inherent in the genre. This is a character concept I toyed with some years ago; an old man, bright of mind but weighed down into apathy, both by his past and his responsibilities for a terrible estate that cannot be left without stewardship. Don't expect any kind of overarching plot or story, because that's really not what this is about. Also don't expect much dialogue. Or character development. Or much of anything, really, because I've planned nothing in the way of an actual book, here. Other relevant information, if you've read this far for some reason: The MC isn't super-powerful to begin with, and probably never will be. He's a veteran with some useful skills, and the insight on how to use them, so can deal with the world's ordinary threats reasonably well, but not too much beyond that. --- Currently on hiatus, as currently the story has a rather poor ratio of effort-to-personal-payoff. I may return to this once I have a clear idea of how to get the stories where I want them. I've started a more standard LitRPG using the same system. But if you like intelligence characters who cleverly min-max their classes, it probably isn't the story for you; it's the story of a rather ordinary guy who winds up in a very similar universe.
