As Damien, Michael and Scarlet entered the cafeteria, everyone looked at them. Well, they weren't looking at all of them, they were all actually looking at Damien and this was because of two reasons 1. Because of what he did to Ronan, who was considered quite strong among the 1st years and 2. Because most of the people there saw him when he last came to eat at the cafeteria and had plate after plate of food and had labeled him as an absolute glutton.

When Damien sensed their stares, he awkwardly scratched the back of his head while he helplessly smiled. Michael and Scarlet quickly caught on as they also knew what his voracious appetite was like and they were also there when he basically dismantled Ronan's face.

In an attempt to shake off his embarrassment, Damien walked towards the buffet.

'What's there to be embarrassed about? I'm a growing boy, I need food!'

As he tried to mentally justify his unnatural appetite, he, like before, kept piling piece after piece of food onto his plate. Once he had gotten enough food and Michael and Scarlet had gotten their own portions, he turned around to look for a table where he and the two others could sit.

As he was looking around he saw Selena sitting next to a peculiar Blue haired girl with a pretty face and orange eyes. What struck Damien as weird about this girl was that her skin was incredibly pale and her orange eyes seemed to glow, also her pupils were vertically elongated, just like Damien's when he enters his Devil Form.

Just like how Damien spotted her, Selena saw him and instantly waved over at him, signaling him to come over and sit with her and her friend. As he, Michael and Scarlet walked over and sat down, the blue-haired girl looked at them and slightly smiled. She looked up at Damien and spoke in a teasing voice.

Whether she was teasing Damien or Selena, neither of them were sure.

"Oh my, you must be Damien, I'm Alice, Selena's best friend. She told me about how unique you look, I thought she was exaggerating but obviously, she was not~" the blue-haired girl, Alice teasingly smiled as she spoke.

As if to what her best friend had said, Selena blushed and averted her eyes from Damien's.

Damien laughed lightly and returned the greeting with a dashing smile on his face, "Haha yeah, my appearance and height are quite unusual for someone my age. It's a pleasure to meet you, Alice, let's get along."

To his reply, Alice simply smiled and nodded her head towards Damien. After this, Damien introduced Scarlet and Michael to the two 1st year girls and soon they all started speaking while they were eating their food. As Selena and Alice both looked at Damien's plate that had enough food for 4 or 5 people on it, they couldn't help but be amazed.

"I guess your appetite is what made you grow so tall, Damien. It's like you're a beast or something with how much you can eat!"

As Selena said this she teasingly winked at Damien as everyone at the table laughed at her joke about Damien having the appetite of a beast. Hearing what she said, Damien also laughed and smiled back at her while replying.

"You have no idea Selena, I'm always hungry. But I guess it has benefits like you said, it fuels my incredible body growth."

As he jokingly said this, he thought about the real reason for his ever insatiable appetite.

'Ever since I started practicing that martial art style, it seems that I've awoken something in my devil genes. I guess it has something to do with what kind of devil I'm gonna be. But more importantly other than my hunger, I keep letting myself get angry, no, furious over the smallest things. Am I going to awaken two different sins?'

Sins. The things that give Devil Cultivators an advantage over normal cultivators, other than their impeccable bodies.

There are seven of them; Pride, Wrath, Sloth, Greed/Avarice, Lust, Gluttony, and Envy.

Each has their own advantages and disadvantages but still, the disadvantages are small and the power they give is what makes most Devil Cultivators tyrants of their respective regions. In his past life, Damien awakened Pride, it gave him impeccable control over his body and mind along with a few mind control powers which proved incredibly helpful in his rise to power. The disadvantage, however, was that he was incredibly arrogant and this caused him trouble more times than he could count.

'So if that's what's causing my anger and my appetite, I'm going to be both a Gluttony Devil and a Wrath Devil? But that's impossible!'

And it was.

A devil cultivator can only have one sin otherwise if there's more than one the sins will clash and it will cause many problems for a Devil Cultivator. Thinking this, Damien used his enhanced brain and thinking speed to go through the Immortal Devil King Technique, looking for even the slightest mention of what was happening to him. While this may seem like it would take a long time, his enhanced brain could think at such a speed this entire thought process didn't even take a second.

Awakening a sin is a strength that becoming a Devil can offer you. If you awaken one sin with this technique you will become incredibly powerful. But if you awaken two, you will become unstoppable, a Devil with such a pure and noble bloodline that those who stand in your way have only one thing they can do; Perish.

Reading this, Damien was ecstatic as he realized that he hadn't messed up in his Devil Cultivation but in fact, he had done so well in it that he was being awarded. As he thought about this he wondered what kind of traits he would get from his two sins. He only hoped he wouldn't turn into a mindless beast that either kills because he's angry or kills because he's hungry.

Either way, he has until he lights up 5 more devil nodes and become a D-Rank Devil before any of this happens, so he shouldn't worry about it too much just yet.

As he chuckled lightly to himself thinking that whatever it was, he would handle it, he came back to himself and looked up to see Selena and Alice looking at him.

"What? Is there something on my face?" as he asked this, a flicker of annoyance passed over Alice's eyes as she replied.

"Hmph! We asked you a question, but you were daydreaming so I guess you didn't hear it."

As he heard this he got a little flushed that someone had called him out on the fact that he was just looking at his food not doing anything for about 2 seconds.

He quickly answered while scratching his head, "Oh, sorry Alice, Selena. What did you ask then?"

"We just wondered if you feel prepared for the tournament you'll be doing when you come back to the academy next year. It's the 1st year's way of sorting out the pecking order."

Hearing this Damien instantly perked up and showed a look of interest and curiosity towards what Alice just said.

"There's gonna be a tournament?"

The other 4 at the table could practically hear the excitement and battle lust dripping off of Damien's words.

As they looked at his face, they saw that his eyes were slightly closed and his mouth was curved upwards to a near impossible degree.

As if she didn't see his insane look, Alice simply replied with a slight smile on her face, "Yep. You'll have a year to prepare yourself and so will everyone who wants to take you down from the top of the induction students."

Damien's face instantly lost its manic appearance and it was replaced with a confused look, seeing that he didn't get what he meant, Selena giggled and decided to chime in before her friend Alice could tease Damien further.

"What she means is that after your little display with Ronan, all the stronger induction students have been raring to have a go at fighting you to see if they can take away your title. Oh and if you're wondering what your title is, the 1st years have taken to calling you 'King of the Newbloods' "

Hearing his title, Damien's faced stayed in its confused expression.

"Newbloods? Is that what you call induction students?"

Hearing his question they nodded, while Alice spoke up again, "Yep, it's an old tradition started by the principal. And it seems that your two friends are among the stronger students who want to have a shot at fighting you when the tournament comes next year."

As she said this, Damien looked over at his two friends only to see them already looking at him with the will to fight in their eyes. Well, Scarlet seemed to be more eager to fight him but Michael just seemed more determined to prove to Damien that he was worthy of being friends with him.

'Seems that I made quite the impression on these two, huh? Well, I better not let them down in a year!'

As he thought about fighting these two, he thought that Helen and Beth would probably hold the same views as Michael and Scarlet and that they'd probably want to fight him. As he thought about this, he couldn't help but let his usual smile creep up onto his lips, he couldn't wait until they got stronger and came at him with everything they had. They had the same growth potential as him, if they work hard they could rival him in power, Damien only hoped that they would give him a proper challenge next year.

"Oh, wow, what an exciting thing. Well, I hope you guys get as strong as you can in the next year!"

Hearing what he said, Michael and Scarlet both nodded their heads resolutely. When she also heard what he said, Alice spoke up.

"You really are a battle addict aren't you? Seems like you really are the perfect fit for Selena..."

As she said this in a quiet voice, only Damien, whose senses were inhuman and Selena who was sitting next to her, heard this. Selena blushed quite heavily at what she heard and Damien laughed at Alice's semi-serious joke.

Seeing that Damien was getting less easy to tease, Alice let out a sigh and pouted as she swept some hair behind her left ear. When he saw her ear, Damien was quite shocked.

It was pointed, not like elves which were pointed and long but more like a demon's. It looked like a human's ear apart from that one part at the top where it can to an almost seemingly sharp point. Seeing his curiosity and shock at her ear, Alice laughed and spoke.

"Hmmm seems you're curious about my ear, huh Damien?"

Seeing that he was caught staring, his mouth spread into a helpless smile and he asked a question.

"Is that due to your ability or something else?"

"Yep. You see, my ability is from the rare Physiology category from the warrior type. It's S+ Ranked [Vampire Empress Physiology], it gives me my pointed ears and also my eyes that are orange and seem to glow in the dark and it has also given me a sub-ability called [Hemomancy] which is a glorified way of saying Blood Manipulation. And I must say, your blood is filled with such vitality Damien, why is that?"

Hearing this, Michael and Scarlet were shocked because of the fact her ability was from the incredibly rare Physiology category.

While Damien was shocked at her question he still replied quickly in a confident manner, "I constantly train my body, one of my abilities lets me push past my limits constantly meaning my body gets stronger and stronger and the other lets me augment my physique. So I'm not too surprised to hear that my vitality is so high that it's tantalizing to a Vampire~"

Hearing that he had such abilities, Alice showed a surprised expression but it soon returned to her usual calm smiling expression. She simply nodded at Damien's answer and didn't inquire anything more from him.

As they continued to talk about random things such as their lives, the academy, and even fighting techniques, soon they all left the cafeteria to go back to their classrooms. Selena and Alice bid farewell to Damien and the two others and went off to their classroom and then Damien, Michael, and Scarlet half-ran and half-jogged towards their classroom as they were a bit late.

As soon as they entered they quickly got to their seats and Mrs. Quila soon started to speak.

"Hello kids, as you're all here now, we can start the lesson."

While speaking she didn't forget to slightly glare at Damien, Michael, and Scarlet. But she soon carried on with the lesson.

"As I've seen you fight, I know that most, if not all of you are ready for the live combat test. If you're wondering what that entails, I'll be taking you to the Arena in the school grounds and I'll have you fight a Mutant Beast that I feel you can defeat and while you fight it, I'll grade you. Depending on your grade, you'll get more or less training resources and opportunities. Is everyone clear on what they're going to be doing? Okay, go back to your dorm rooms and get dressed in your black combat suits and bring your weapons to the classroom once you're ready."

Hearing what she said, most of the people in the room were excited. Especially Damien, Troy and Scarlet who exuded an amazing amount of fighting will.

Damien looked over at Troy who seemed to be recovered and with a renewed passion this time around. But unlike previous times where that passion was caked in arrogance, this time it felt purer like Michael's determination to get stronger. Seeing this change, Damien was happy that Troy was losing his annoying traits.

Soon after what she said everyone rushed back to their dorms, some nervous, others cautious but most of them were to some degree, excited while thinking about their first time fighting a mutant beast.
