《Summoning Shenanigans》Book 2 Chapter 29

Dorian’s POV, 8 pm, second night of the wave
“Brother, you up?” Belor called into my tent.
“Yeah.” I said, rolling out of my cot and grabbing my special axes. The handles were carved from an ironwood tree that had been struck by lightning, while each of the crescent blades were created using ore mined from Thunderblast Mountain. Any mana I channeled into them would be unleashed as powerful lightning attacks. Once I had both of my weapons secured, I headed outside to see Belor standing there with a goofy grin on his face.
“Got you breakfast.”
“Thanks.” I replied, digging in. Not bad. Sausage, rice and vegetables in a fairly flavorful broth.
“Think they’ll be coming soon?” Belor asked, head turned to the moonless sky.
“Definitely.” I said, finishing off the bite I had taken. “They have to know about us, and that we will be at our weakest tonight. I would think they would want to start in under an hour. Time enough to let night settle in, but still enough night left that we should be vulnerable. Did you guys manage to finish preparations?”
“We did.” He said as I tucked in to my meal. “The pitfalls now funnel everything to an area you can defend by yourself, though the squads will be nearby for backup. The explosive pit is at the head of the funnel, set back a bit. Hopefully just enough that we can catch the guy off guard. I’ll rampage behind their lines.” I nodded in approval. Let’s just hope that the enemy thinks like we hope they will.

Heidi’s POV, 8 pm, second night of the wave
Gods, but this is exhausting. I was nearing the end of my shift, and I was so very much looking forward to a good rest. Carrigan’s face flashed in my mind, and I smiled as I thought of things I could do to the charmer. Still though, this was a bit fast for me. Was it the imminent danger? I had been in some tough spots before, but nothing as dangerous as a monster wave. And an annoying fucking wave it was. Even now, we only had a few enemies appear per hour, but they just kept coming. Lizards, swamp flies and other assorted insects, not to mention the amphibians and crocodiles. They were just fast enough to be annoying, and not let you get any true rest between battles.
“How we doing?” I heard Carrigan ask, and I couldn’t help but grin.
“Much better now. We should be almost done, yeah?”
“Yeah.” He said. “Change in half an hour, then we can get some rest.” I turned just a bit to see him running his hands through his hair, and had to suppress the urge to tear into him. Easy there Heidi, feel him out first.
“We?” I asked with a grin. “I suppose we could get some rest. Eventually.”
“Are you?” He asked, a bit confused.
“Yes.” I growled, turning to face him after I made sure nothing was in my area. I got right up into his face and whispered, “I don’t know what it is, but I am ungodly horny. And you have been pressing buttons, so here’s how it’s going to go down. We get off in a little bit, then we can eat some dinner real quick, and you will get me off real quick. After that, we can rest.”

“Well, when you put it that way.” He said with a grin. “I guess I have no choice. At your cervix ma’am.”
“Promises, promises.” I shot back. “If you get even three quarters of the way there, I’ll be a happy woman by the end of tonight. Now, go finish everything you need while I finish my shift.”
“Yes ma’am.” He chuckled, heading off to check on the next person. I went back to watching for enemies, though this time my stomach was fluttering in a good way. The end of the night couldn’t come soon enough.
Spoiler: Spoiler
Half an hour later, and I had eaten and was in my cot. Carrigan had managed to get half a meal with me before being called away for something, much to my annoyance. I did manage to let him know which cot was mine, and I was laying down waiting for him.
“Heidi, that you?” I heard him whisper a few minutes later.
“Get in here.” I growled, smiling as he slid into the cot behind me. A jolt shot through my body as I felt him cuddle up behind me, wrapping his arm around my waist. “Mmmmm, there we go.” It was just a pity that we had to keep our clothes on.
“Sorry about the wait hun.” He whispered. “had some mana potions go missing, but we found ‘em.” I shivered in delight as his breath tickled my ear. His hand had slipped under my shirt, and his thumb was rubbing delicious circles on my hip, the teasing driving me wild.
“Careful there, you’re going to get things started if you don’t stop.”
“Stop what? This with my thumb? Or whispering in your ear? Hmmm?” I had to stifle a gasp as he had gently bit into my earlobe and hummed on it at the end, and I couldn’t take it anymore.
“Pants. Undo them, now.” I ordered, slipping mine down to mid thigh.
“We can’t take them off.” He started, stopping with my growl.
“I don’t need them off, I need them low enough to get at your cock. Now do as I say!” I hissed, teaching around back and stroking his bulge through the front. Oh, what a perfect bulge it was, and I felt it surge forward at my touch. As he struggled to get his pants pulled down without letting everyone in the barracks know what was going on, I removed my hand and attended to some urgent business myself. Just as I was getting into a good rhythm, I felt Carrigan’s cock sliding between my thighs. Damn man, couldn’t hit the target right off the bat.
“Hold still.” I ordered, then thought about it for a second. “At least, down there. Your hands are free.” He gave a slight chuckle, and started running his hand along the back of my arm, hitting all sorts of sensitive spots. While he was doing that, I was slowly rubbing his shaft between my folds, getting both of us coated.
“Hun, you better hurry it up if you want me to last until the main attraction.” He whispered, slipping his hand up my shirt to start playing with my nipples. I bit my lips with pleasure, then shifted my hips so that I could guide him home. Inch by glorious inch I felt him filling me up, as I swiveled my hips just enough to take a little bit more inside me each time. Gods it felt amazing, his position stretching my entrance as his shaft slowly slid up my front walls. A jolt of pleasure shot through me as his head brushed against something, and with a quick thrust from him he was fully inside me.

“Mmmmm.” I moaned into the pillow as he traced lazy circles around my hardened nipple, occasionally squeezing my tit. In return, I felt him shudder each time I twitched my muscles, using small circles of my hips to drive him wild.
“Can you put up a sound barrier?” I whispered. “I need you to pound me.”
“Ca. Can’t.” He panted, struggling to maintain control. “We could get called out at any-“ His reply was interrupted by a shriek coming from outside, and we both froze. Several people shifted to look at the door, but when nobody came in that bastard did something to cause his dick to twitch inside me, almost making me cry out.
“Bastard.” I whispered, before I started squeezing down in waves with my muscles.
“Sorry. Sorry. I’m sorry.” He quickly whispered, hand clenching around the blanket. I smiled at the reactions I could get from him, but decided to let him off for now. We waited about thirty seconds for everyone to start falling back asleep before I started slowly moving again, teasing him. This time his hand snaked down and started circling my clit, sending waves of pleasure through me.
“Mmm, right there.” I whispered, gradually increasing the pace. I loved how he was reading my body, increasing the tempo as I felt everything building. “Yes. Yes. Cum with me.” I ordered, trying not to get too wild with my bucking. The need to be as silent as possible, the thrill of nearly being caught, all of it was driving me wild. All I cared about was the rod of flesh hitting everything I needed it to, and feeling Carrigan’s fingers start to lose the rhythm as he neared his finish as well.
And then I could feel it, him spasming as he spurted inside me. I rocked my hips, timing it so that each spurt would come when I completed a circle and paused for a fraction of a second. His fist was clenched in front of me, shaking with pleasure.
“Stop. Gotta stop gotta stopstopstop.” With a smile, I gave him one last squeeze before I let us both start coming down. He pulled out as he was softening, and I could feel everything leaking out as I shimmied my pants back up. Oh well, I’ll just throw out this bit of underwear. I grabbed his arm and pulled him closer, snuggling in. “Mine.” I claimed, getting a slight chuckle from him before he adjusted to get himself comfortable. Fully sated, we both drifted off to sleep.

Dorian’s POV, 9 pm, second night of the wave
“Been hearing them moving for a while now.” I muttered.
“Aye.” Belor agreed. “Hope they come out. I’m really looking forward to cutting loose for a bit.” As he was speaking, I saw the bushes at the treeline get shoved aside as several massive forms moved through. Followed by a lot more.
“Aw, fuck. Minotaurs? Seriously?” Belor growled. “I fucking hate minotaurs.”
“Not only that. Tauros too.” I said, noticing several much larger forms. Minotaurs were roughly six and a half to eight feet tall, with the head and horns of a bull. They had minimal steel-making capacity, but they preferred to use their horns to draw blood. Instead, they used clubs. Tauros were the evolved form of the minotaur. The smallest were ten feet tall, and they had thick musculature that was far more reminiscent of a bull than a human. Hooves instead of hands precluded weapon usage, but they didn’t really need them. They often had a good dose of earth magic, and so each hoof was as hard as steel. They stopped just before the funnels, and made a path for an armored form to walk through.
“Greetings! Would you two happen to be the Lunar Barbarian Brothers I’ve heard so much about?” He called in a falsely jovial voice.
“We are.” I yelled back. “I assume you are one of those Vipers of Apophis?”
“Oh? You know who we are? Well that makes things easier. Indeed, I am Eustache Cameroon, though I am more of a python than a viper.”
“And why would a snake be cavorting with cows?” I called back.
“Cavorting? Ha! Oh no, these are mere pawns I happened to pick up. See, if you can walk into the middle of a minotaur village and defeat their leader in unarmed combat, you become chief. So now I have a village that needs a challenge, and well. I think they should challenge the two of you. The fact that you are at your weakest, well. That’s just a bonus for my minions. See, I also promised them that if they defeat you two, I will help them break into the city and make off with plenty of breeding stock.”
“Breeding stock?” Belor asked, and I knew it was going to be bad.
“Careful brother.” I warned.
“You don’t know? All minotaurs and tauros are male. And adventurers are the only women, hmm, sturdy enough to bear their children.”
“Bastard!” Belor yelled.
“Enough brother.” I said. Turning to Caleb, I spoke calmly. “Head back to camp and rouse the mage. Have him send the red shrieking signal.” Caleb nodded, and took off.
“Calling in reinforcements already? That won’t save you, you know.” Eustache chided.
“Don’t worry your pretty little head.” I called back. “I guarantee you won’t be expecting these reinforcements.”
“Oh really? Pity. I would much rather hold off and crush your hope when it is at your highest, but my minions are getting antsy. So go, crush them and then we shall head into the city for some plundering!” He ordered. The minotaurs started forward only to pause as a shriek sounded behind us as a ball of red light shot into the air.
“That’s it? A bit of red light?” He laughed at us after a few moments. “Kill the insolent bastards!” With a roar the beasts started forward, and I unhooked my weapons. They had managed to cross half the distance when I felt it. That glorious pull that sends fire racing through my blood.
“Feel her brother!” I yelled.
“Aye brother! The moon, she sings once again!” He replied, howling to the heavens his joy. His muscles plumped under the light, as the charging minotaurs froze in terror. “HEAR ME AND LAMENT YOUR CHOICES! I AM BELOR BLOOD FANG! LUNAR BERSERKER OF THE HAUK CLAN!” As he spoke a red light seemed to emanate from his body. Part of it encased him, while part grew into a massive creature behind him. “MY CLAWS REND FOES AS MY SCREAM FREEZES THEIR HEARTS! COME! TEST THE BATTLE PROWESS OF THE BLOODY BADGER!” The form behind him solidified, and screamed in rage at the sight of so many foes. It then flowed into Belor’s body, giving him a bloodthirsty aura that solidified into a red badger form overlaid upon his own.
CLANG! Tsst. CLANG! Tssst. CLANG! Tssst.
I drew the attention of the herd by smashing my weapons together, each impact letting sparks fly. “YOU HAVE MADE YOUR FINAL MISTAKE, COMING TO TAKE THAT WHICH I CLAIM AS MINE! YOUR FATE IS SEALED, FOR YOU FACE THE LIGHTNING BEAR TOTEM!” Power coursed through me, as I felt my aura taking shape around and above me. A towering bear, with lightning flowing through his fur and between his claws. “CHALLENGE MY POWER, IF YOU DARE!” With that last challenge, my bear totem bellowed out as well before sinking in to me. The time for words was done, now was the time to fight.
My senses expanded, as I used every one to their fullest. The smell of sweat on the bodies of the warriors behind me. The slight musky taste on the air from the enemy. I could hear some of them lowing in fear, as the prey half of their minds warred against attacking a pair of predators. “Caleb. Detonate the flame trap.” I ordered, then stepped forward in preparation of taking advantage of the confusion.
Belor took off into the center of the herd as the flames exploded. Blood flew as he set about causing as much carnage as possible. We had worked it out earlier, and he would cause fear and panic by slashing open as many wounds as possible. I would focus on finishing the wounded enemies. And it was glorious! The flames distracting them, the unseen badger slashing wounds and adding to the blood in the air, and then I stepped in. My first target was the biggest tauros, as it had led the charge. My first blow took it in the lower back, severing the spine and paralyzing the legs. It’s bellow of agony caught the attention of the nearby enemies, just in time for me to bury my second axe in the base of its skull. I wasn’t about to risk my blade getting stuck in a magically reinforced skull this early in the fight.
As the tauros died, the battlefield seemed to freeze for a second. The minotaurs had just lost their most powerful fighter to two strikes, there was an enemy in their midst moving too fast for them to catch, and their retreat was cut off by either pitfalls or a gigantic wall of flames. Then everything shot back into motion, as widespread panic took hold. The cows started milling about, looking for an exit. Some charged, but they simply died. They were too close together to make useful attacks with clubs, so they resorted to hooves and horns. A foolish choice, as we were far too mobile of targets for that. One blade would parry while the other delivered a devastating counter. We ignored minor wounds, as our regeneration more than took care of them. With the blood moon in the sky, the more we killed the faster our wounds healed. We lost ourselves to the symphony of battle.
Sometime later, and I found myself facing the last of the tauros as Belor eviscerated the three remaining minotaurs. As my enemy dropped to all four and charged, I leapt over him and slashed into his shoulder muscles before rolling back to my feet on the other side. Wounded, but not nearly enough to discount the threat. As it was turning around, I decided to charge it. No sense in letting the enemy dictate the flow of battle. I knew I wouldn’t get a surprise attack from the wide field of vision, but I was hoping for him to give in to his instincts and try and pierce me with his horn. That got a partial parry with my left hand axe, leaving my right hand axe a perfect opportunity to smash into the neck of the beast. It bellowed in fear as the lightning locked up its muscles, falling to the ground. I ripped the axe out, leaving a gaping hole. Before the lightning effect could dissipate, I finished it with an overhand strike with my left hand axe.
“Bravo! Bravo!” I froze as I heard slow clapping coming from where our backup squads should have been. “Caleb, right? You were correct, you would survive long enough for your mentors to win.” Eustache said, nudging a kneeling and bloody Caleb’s body. Surrounding them were the corpses of the rest of the squad, most impaled with their own weapons. He didn’t get any response, so he nudged him again. “Then again, maybe you didn’t survive.” Shrugging, he stepped around Caleb’s corpse and took a step towards us.
“No wonder we were warned of the Lunar Berserkers. Very few would be able to go through an all-out brawl like that and come out on top, let alone with as much energy as you seem to have.”
“You’re going to pay for slaughtering our friends.” Belor growled, stalking up beside me.
“And what about the two of you? You slaughtered my friends.”
“Cut the bullshit.” I retorted. “Those weren’t your friends, and you started this battle. You could have turned and left any time in the last three days.”
“Well, that is true. I’ll be honest, I was looking forward to this battle after hearing of your rumored strength, but after seeing you in action? Oh, this will be so much fuaaaagh!”
“Now!” I shouted, but Belor didn’t need any prompting. He had already shot off like a bolt from a crossbow. While Eustache was monologueing, Caleb had grabbed a spear and thrust it through his stomach from behind. Before Eustache could turn to attack, Belor was there and had latched on to both of his arms. Twisting his body, Belor placed his feet on Eustache’s shoulders and pulled, effectively locking his arms. Before he could think of a way to retaliate, I swept my axes in a scissors motion and removed the bastards head.
“Nicely done Caleb.” I said, only to see him not moving. “Caleb?” I asked, walking forward. Just before I reached him, his body fell down.
“He used the last of his life to take down the enemy.” Belor said, head bowed in respect. I did the same, before we headed back towards the walls. This battle seemed to be won, but it was a heavy cost. A token bit of reinforcement would be needed, but only Belor and I would have the honor of carrying our fallen. Regardless of their origins, they were family now.

Agros de Mortis
Are things ever so crystal clear in life, those of us with experience know that it can be considered a blessing to have such a straight forward path in life. Sometimes things go right, sometimes something occurs that was simply never imagined. Sometimes life seems to flow so quickly but sometimes it just seems stuck, cursed to repeat itself. Cycles upon cycles we see around us, but perhaps in only a moment things change. Can this be stopped or do we even want it to be stopped? Are things always as evil as they seem, or are they so similar that we find it painful. Come visit this little spot and decide for yourself what you interpret this is... _________________________________________________ This fiction is a mix of many things and for simplicity sake is the story of one man's rise to power in a fashion fit be called a demon lord. Ever read all those novels where you get a here is this bad guy we called you here to go deal with by the power of our god so here is some magic and training go kill em. Here is the other side's view of their rise to power in a fashion that perhaps seems evil, perhaps not. Is our MC truly that evil or is he simply following what he feels like is best for him, who is to say that he is truly a blight aganist the gods for surely it is not so simple in life. This will have some elements of dungeon building but it takes mostly a back seat to things as a background thing, a weak to strong theme well yeah but it won't really be personal power since we are doing what is essentially nation building. Don't worry there will be no romance as a main theme, if you find any it is unintentional or simply a very minor element overall, hopefully won't be any of the social/relationship gender issues from last time for those that read my first ficiton since that really is not what I want the story to be about. Progress in story is a bit of a mix of fast and slow I felt overall for the story, time skips were short and things piled up quickly then calmed down before building up again. Not sure how I did with characterizing and writing some concepts but at least I wanted people to think a little. Some attempt to keep things realistic to a degree considering you know magic since I wanted a bit more depth to things. Come check out the story and decide for yourself how you feel about some things.
