Kevin stretched his muscles and back as he climbed out of the FIVR Pod. He was taking a short break before the siege started. All the Immortals had been told to take a short break to allow them time to eat, use the bathroom, and whatever else they needed to do. Taking an hour-long break and resetting their immersion time was key though. Jacob didn't want people dropping out in the middle of the siege because they ran out of immersion time.

"Sir, Miss Hayley Jackson has called you twice since you went under. You friend Bree left a note for you to call her as well." Juno stated as he finished.

"Can you heat up some leftovers and call Bree, audio-only I am jumping into the shower," Kevin stated as he stripped out of the sensor suite and hung it up. It was getting nasty, he would have to take it to get cleaned, good thing he had two more just like it for backup.

"Yes sir. The leftover barbeque is heating up and will be ready in five minutes." Juno replied as a ringing of the phone started to echo throughout the apartment.

"Hey Slug bug, how's it going?" Jordan asked as he picked up the phone.

"Not much dude, on my break and my V.I. said your wife needed me to call her. You know what's up?" Kevin asked as he jumped into the shower.

"Yes, you neighbor is kinda fucked up in the head, you know that right." Bree stated as she cut into the conversation.

Jacob smiled, "Yeah, figured that out, did you? I told you, she reminded me too much of Ava and that she was a spoiled rich bitch. One of the reasons why I am keeping my distance from her." Kevin stated after he washed the soap from his head and out of his eyes.

"Dude, are you taking a shower?!?!" Jordan asked causing both Kevin and Bree to laugh.

"Yep, I got one hour to get everything done including a shower before I have to go back in. I had been under twenty-four hours straight. So Bree, how is she doing?" Kevin prodded.

Bree snorted as Jordan made gagging sounds over the phone. "As well as can be expected. She was honestly surprised that you helped her and I think she has a little bit of a crush on you now."

Kevin smirked, "Good, maybe I can use it to get her to leave me alone. Anything else or earth-shattering cause you could have told me all of this in-game." Kevin stated as he shut off the water and started drying off.

"Umm...nope that's about it," Bree responded as her husband chuckled in the background, but a loud smacking sound drowned it out as she hit him.

"Goodbye Bree, see you guys on the inside.' Kevin stated as he rolled his eyes and the call ended with a click. 'Juno, after everything you have learned and watched with my interactions with Hayley, do you honestly think I should call her back?" Kevin prompted the A.I.

Ringing over the sound system was his answer causing Kevin's shoulders to slump in defeat. "Hello?" was the inquisitive response.

"Hey, this is Kevin is Haley around?" Kevin responded as he continued to dry himself.

"Its kinda late to be calling anyone, don't you think." the Woman responded. It was only ten pm...

"Sure, whatever you say. Just tell her I called. Bye!!' Kevin replied as the line disconnected. 'Have you learned your lesson Juno?" Kevin prompted.

"Yes, call earlier so you are not considered rude," Juno responded causing Kevin to sigh in frustration.

"No, that was not the lesson. We should not have called in the first place. In the future, I don't care if she calls. Ignore her calls and send it too voice mail. Please!!' Kevin told the A.I. who didn't respond in any way. 'Ok?"

"I understand and will do so, but I do not agree with your assessment of the situation," Juno responded. Kevin just rolled his eyes as he headed for the kitchen.

"Why are we here instead of preparing for the siege?" the Angel asked softly as they watched the ongoing fight.

"We are here because we are playing as if nothing is wrong.' Jacob replied giving her a cold smile. 'Now sit back, relax, and enjoy the show." Jacob stated while trying to appear calm and collected even though he was irate with the Angel and the situation as well.

The Demoness chuckled, "You Immortals play with death even though it does not permanently touch you. These games are amusing. Perhaps someday you will bring your champion to the Abyss to entertain the crowds there." The Succubus said while raising an inquisitive eyebrow.

Jacob smiled and raised his glass in thanks to her for playing along or she could be serious. "Perhaps, only time will tell." Jacob allowed.

"You have interesting companions. How is that you keep collecting beautiful female companions?" Lady Nisa Stovrelzide asked as she looked at the Angel and Demon.

Jacob snorted in amusement, "You act as if I had a choice in the matter. However, it takes more than just beauty to keep my attention. Feel free to consult my wife, I am sure she has plenty to say about me." Jacob replied causing Cathrine to smirk and wink at the foreign dignitary.

"It helps if you have a lot of stamina, have a sharp wit, and know how to use your tongue." Gloria put in causing Cathrine to chuckle knowingly.

Jacob raised an eyebrow at her as his hand snaked its way into her robes and pinching and twisting a hardening nipple earning a gasp and moan from the outgoing Seneschal. Jacob rolled the nipple between his fingers as he stared in her eye, "Are you going to be good?" Jacob asked her softly.

Gloria bit her lip and shook her head earning another pinch from Jacob, causing Cathrine to smile as her hand joined Jacobs underneath the robe as they worked the new Seneschals nipples. Jacob turned and looked at her but did not remove his hand or stop, "I was thinking about seeing if she could last for the remainder of this match." The Angel sat back and had a scowl on her face as the others laughed as Jacob tried to recover from being caught ogling the Demoness as she walked away. Jacob shrugged his shoulders sheepishly, she was wearing a dress that was slit halfway up her thigh. Lilly looked back, bit her lip and raised an inquisitive eyebrow at Jacob who blushed and sat back in his seat.

Surface- Arathia Basin Region

Empire of Night- Cursed Cove

Ailis ducked under the swing of the cutlas and lashed out with one of her daggers. The pirate screamed as she gutted him. A barrage of Arcane Bolts lashed out at the Pirates partner cutting him down before they were overwhelmed. Ailis activated her Death Root Poison as she dropped into Stealth and made her way over to where the tank and Ozzy were fighting a burly pirate who was going toe-to-toe with the two Vampires.

Ailis took her time, if she moved too quickly, the Pirate would more then likely spot her. Once she was in position she shoved one dagger into the Pirates' kidney triggering Backstab as she did. The Pirate staggered as his health dropped like a stone into the critical range as the poison took effect as Ailis continued her assault. Ozzy and the tank joined her quickly downing the fatally injured pirate.

"Well, I guess we aren't taking them in alive." the Healer quipped from nearby.

The tank looked at the healer, "Take a beating from them, then try to capture one of them alive.' He stated as he bent down and looted the corpse. He whistled as the money was divided equally among them, but two Uncommons and a Rare piece of equipment also dropped off the Pirate. Nothing that would benefit Ailis, so she passed on it all as she looked around the nearby cabin hoping to find something. Then one of the wood panels glowed gold subtly as her Keen Sight kicked in highlighting it.

Ailis took a few moments studying it, waiting to see if Trap Detection would go off as well. "What did you find?" Ozzy asked from beside her.

"A hidden panel, but I am waiting to see if my Trap Detection Skill will pick up anything. So far the only traps these Pirates and Thieves had was low-level stuff, but with hidden compartments..." Ailis responded as she started to run her fingers over the surface filling it for any subtle curves or switches. She finally gave up and pried it open. revealing a small chest that was locked.

Ailis immediately pulled out a pair of lock picks from her inventory and went to work. Two minutes later it clicked open and Ailis checked the chest for any traps, but after a minute she shrugged her shoulders and told everyone else to stand clear in case she missed something. Ailis squeezed her eyes shut and flung it open...nothing happened. They found a couple of Common level gems, a bag of Gold and Silver, and a Dagger. The first piece of equipment that she could use. A named Epic dagger called Ruin. Not bad and an upgrade over her Steel Dagger of the Dirty Fighter. Spoiler: Spoiler

"Congrats on finally getting a good piece of equipment." Ozzy offered a high-five and she took it.

"Yeah, only took us until the end of the Dungeon. If I had not looked in the cabin, we would never have found it." Ailis responded as the Tank broke a seal on a Portal Scroll to take them back to Aramore.
