Author notes: Hi guys, a question was raised by our good friend Theorize in last chapter after answering it I came to a conclusion to make my characters more outspoken to have the true relation between characters known, not speculated.

It has been a month since my conversation with Void, I learned much this past month about my newly obtained attribute, Void suggested that I have to keep quiet about it at least until I have power to protect myself as anything new is always an enigma and leads to unwanted attraction.

Void explained to me about his attribute a little, he said to call it a variation of dark attribute if anyone discovers it as we decided to keep it a secret before I obtain some strength.

When I asked him that calling both him and attribute Void a little confusing he said to give a name to my attribute as it will be a variation of his attribute when fully evolved. So I named it Chaos.

The laws of chaos are different from the laws of light and darkness. Light and darkness attribute increases the power of a mage by giving additional destructive power to a spell, but void doesn't give any additional power instead it has role in supporting the spell.

I was confused when I was explained this because how can chaos be powerful than light and dark when it gives no additional strength to the spell. I was given a answer which stunned me.

Void said that chaos works as a support by helping me combine and compose spells. It gives me the flexibility to make any changes to a spell in existence or make a new spell. I was baffled and asked that how can something like this exist as this can completely change the laws laid by universe.

There are spells which can be casted instantly giving a effect of combined power of two elements but in reality it was nothing but false combination so the full power can never be obtained. The rare affinity are formed by combination of spells but they can never have the affinities of their constituent's it will have its own power like mist formed can't have affinities of fire and water.

If what Void is true then chaos attribute let's me freely combine my two attributes as well as make a spell without any need for detailed magic theory, this is too much of a cheat so I was grinning widely only to be dejected by later words of Void.

According to him all he said can be achieved but I had to be at immortal level. I was instantly dejected but was told that I could still combine them as well as create spells to a certain degree and my attribute strength will improve as I gain power.

I asked him how could I train to become a immortal with my measly high affinity, instead of answering my question he laughed hard as if he heard the most absurd question in existence.

He then asked ' Boy who told you that you need to have extraordinary affinity to train to become a immortal '

' No, it is not that we cannot train but it will take a ridiculously long time to train as well as he has to be lucky to gain insights '

' True but that is limited to others, you have two things that others do not have '

' Two things, I have chaos but what is the other thing? '

' Your ridiculously large reservoir of spiritual energy, it is not at all large when compared to a higher ranking mage but if you compare your self to a no order mage such as yourself then the comparison would be like heaven and earth '

' Why do I have such large spiritual force and what use do I have for it '

' ........ Kid, do you not know what is the use of spiritual energy. Did you not receive any education regarding mages '

' Whatever I know I Learned it from the books I read occasionally, no I never received any proper education concerning mages except for the minimum basic knowledge because it was never thought a mage would be born in this family so majority of education was centred around warrior training like ki cultivation '

' I see, then I will tell you about the information regarding mages which should be known to all mages '

' listen kid, mages are divided into ten ranks while the first nine are considered to be mortal ranks the tenth rank is the beginning step from which you can be considered an immortal. Information regarding immortals is unessential for you at your level so I will tell you at a later time.

Mages are required to have two things to cast a spell of a particular rank they are mage force and spiritual energy of that rank. So with your high spiritual affinity you can clear one girdle at a fast pace '

After registering the information and thinking for a while I asked a question ' Void, according to what you say my troubles did not decrease one bit as I will still require to gather enough mage force to advance a particular rank '

' Indeed boy, that would have been the case if you did not possess chaos attribute '

' Chaos attribute? How will it help me '

' Boy, tell me who do you think is valued more a sixth rank mage with a attribute or a eight ranked mage of no attribute '

' Of course a eight ranked mage, according to what I have learned the power difference between ranks grows as rank increases in number so the eight ranked mage should be a hundred times stronger than a sixth ranked mage even with his attribute '

' Wrong boy, a sixth order mage with a attribute is valued much more than a eight order mage with no attribute. Why do you think so? Can you guess '

' ............ No idea Void '

' Then I will tell you the other purpose of affinity which is very useful for the development of mage. It is also the way in which chaos will help you the most before you reach immortal level '

' What is it '

' Attribute can be used as a medium to absorb mage force. Attributes also have affinity. If a person has average affinity to a element but has high affinity to a attribute then he will be absorbing the mage force at above average speed thanks to his high affinity '

' Then Void, how high is my affinity '

' You have extraordinary affinity for chaos otherwise you could have never successfully received it from me '

' I see, what would have happened if I did not have extraordinary affinity '

' hmm, the contract would have failed and you would have died from recoil '

I shuddered at the thought of it and asked ' So by how much will my mage force absorbing speed increase because of it '

' hmm, it should make your fire attribute at a level a little bit higher than high level, while your lightning will be increased to extraordinary level '

I was completely ecstatic as this meant that I could become strong soon, maybe with enough luck I may even become a immortal he he.

Void as if reading my thoughts said

' Kid, I know you are excited but you are at a stage where you will be killed before you even realise it, so don't grow too cocky. Also I think you are gravely mistaken that you will become a immortal just because you have extraordinary affinity now.

There are countless people in the entire Asgard continent who have not even become a mage of eighth rank even with extraordinary affinity, you can only become strong with hard work and perseverance. Having talent will assist you but it will not make you invincible '

Slowly coming back to reality I realised the truth and clenching my teeth I decided to train really hard.

' I understand Void, how should I train. Please instruct me '

' The mage your father hired to be your instructor will arrive in a month from now. We have to stay low key so you will not advance in ranks even if you can. For now we will wait for your instructor. You will begin your training in chaos when you become a mage of second rank '

' OK Void, but what should I do now. '

' hmm, well enjoy your new found respect among your clan members '

' That I will '

Thinking back to the events of the day when we returned from testing ceremony I couldn't help but smile
