《An A.I Is Such A Cheat In The Martial World!》Chapter 11 - The Hunt Begins

While Lily and I were sprinting towards the forest, I started thinking about what Lily would do with unimaginable power. I'm sure Lily and Jasmine will also be Gods. Lily because it's what I would bestow upon her and Jasmine because she was going to beat me to Godhood.
All Knowing. All Powerful. I had described Jasmine to a T.
“Lily. If you had power and knowledge beyond your imagination, what would you do?” I asked.
Each person would have different goals. Most don't want power for the sake of power itself, but to reach their goals, they need vast amounts of power.
Lily look at me in a thoughtful expression. “I would bring back my dead family. Even though I've dealt with the loss of my mother, I would bring her back in a heartbeat if it was possible.”
Of-course. Lily would bring back her family. I'm sure most 'impossibilities' are possible long before one has to be all-powerful or knowledgeable.
“Jasmine?” I asked inwardly.
[Love... I've been God more times than you can count. Let me give you some advice so you get in the right mindset. Time is truly infinite. Infinite possibilities are not. Being God is only fun until you've done all their is to do and know all there is to know. Then it just becomes boring. Most Gods set themselves up in an infinite loop like attaining Godhood, doing all their is to do, destroying their memories and doing it all over it. So don't worry about becoming God. The journey to Godhood is better than Godhood itself. So do what Lily said. Enjoy life and surround yourself with happiness, love and pleasure.]
Behind all that cheekiness and playfulness, Jasmine was the Goddess of Knowledge. It was her nickname on Earth.
That was when we reached the edge of the forest.
I knew all this talk about the future was conjecture. Right now, good times were hard to come by. For the foreseeable future, I was going to be involved in magnitudes amounts of killing and bloodshed. Life usually doesn't let you surround yourself with happiness, love and pleasure. They are equally rare commodities in life.
Lily and I made our way on top of a giant tree and I turned on my Energy/Essence Eyes. They'll turn into all purpose eyes soon enough. With all the God talk, I'm sure they'll be named All Seeing Eyes or God Eyes. I'll leave Jasmine with naming the techniques.
From there, I was able to see Dan around the forest. With-in the 6 kilometers radius I could see around me, I could tell there were 5 Dan that contained enough energy so I could see them.
It seemed Dan/Elixirs/Relics had their own ranks. But I liked to have everything compartmentalized. And since I didn't know the ranks, and Lilys knowledge was incomplete, I compared the Dan with Cultivation ranks along with low, medium and high ranks. Most of the Dan I saw were medium quality and meant for the Houtian Profound Realm. They were all a few meters underground or hidden on trees.

I also saw a few scarce Ferocious Beasts.
We were at the edge of the forest. It made sense that we wouldn't find much. Most of it has been cleared by the other Cultivators in the village.
Lily grabbed my hand, sped off, and a few minutes later, we had collected the Dan. Even though I valued the energy inside the Dan, Lily reminded me that Dan themselves had healing properties and amazing nutrients.
They also tasted heavenly.
They were also meant to be ingredients in Alchemy. From others perspective, what we were doing was wasteful. But other Cultivators couldn't absorb 100% of the energy inside Dan. Not to mention, I didn't need elixirs. I could directly consume energy from Dan. I could also drink the blood of Ferocious Beasts. Alchemy would be useful for creating poisons.
An evil smile crept onto my face as I thought about the possibilities. Poison was a natural energy to all living organisms. I couldn't wait to develop poisons with Jasmine.
Since I didn't want to endure the time consuming process of categorizing every plant and herb in this world, I had to get my hands on the information. Alchemy was already an expansive endeavor in this world. I knew the Flame family wouldn't have the valuable information I wanted. I needed more information about the military camp. If it was like my old world, it would contain the cutting edge information I was seeking. The goals of humans in this world was to kill every last Ferocious and Desolate Beast. A military camp was just the name that represented the best experts in the area working towards a single goal. We had to talk to General Calix.
Lily had also sold off the other Elite Ferocious Beasts she had killed while I was unconscious. Right now, we had over 150 Gold. But to Cultivators, Dan was a more common currency.
This trip to the forest was going to be about a 2 week event. We had the necessary equipment thanks to the Flame family. Lily was carrying a pouch with the necessary elixirs like eating supplements and healing Dan. It seemed like eating wasn't done for the sake of eating in the Cultivation world. It was done for luxury or Cultivation.
[It's the wrong approach. Humans get pleasure from eating. Even though Cultivators become beyond human, they still retain their emotions, unconscious actions, and other minor human elements. They are still somewhat human. An Earth analogy would be superheros. Video game characters. People with mana. Humans with Chi. There are lots of ways of describing Cultivators, but Cultivation makes them more than human, not inhuman. Eating delicious foods would increase persons mental relaxation state and overall pleasure. In a tense situation, it could make a sizable difference.]
[In the short term, magic wins. In the long term, science wins. Knowledge is the worlds greatest commodity. It's why science wins in the end.]
As we traveled to deep sections of the forest, I sensed the change in the atmosphere. I was either experiencing a cosmic shift or I was adapting to one. It was most likely the latter. The environment around me started to change. There was a heavy dread of death in the air. A heavy scent of blood filled my nose. I could almost feel the pressure around me becoming physical and starting to bear down on my body. It had a physical and mental effect on me. My fighting spirit slowly erupted. My blood started to boil to the point of frenzy. My mind became more alert and excited. Yang energy also started being absorbed at an exponential rate.

“As all living creatures exert their will, so does the world itself. This effect is the combination of the two. The stronger the beasts and the harsher the environment, the stronger the effect. From now on, we need to be careful. We've entered the Ferocious Beast territory. Stay with-in my sights Cesar.” Lily said with total seriousness.
I knew by now that the universe itself was 'alive'.
Lily and I once again repeated the process of climbing a giant tree to see where the Dan were. Only this time, we were much more covert in my climbing. Even though I wasn't in life-threatening danger, I couldn't afford to be stupid.
Look down from on-top, a new world presented itself.
Right behind us was a relatively empty land. Ferocious Beasts were scarce and so were the Dan. But where Lily and I stood seemed to be an invisible dividing line.
In front of us was a world of anarchy and chaos. Bloodshed and fighting as far as I could see. But I noticed one particular oddity.
“Lily, why are there no flying type Ferocious Beasts.” On the ground, there was pandemonium. But the skies were quiet and empty aside from the ever present howls and screams of the Ferocious Beasts.
“Ferocious Beasts can't fly. Powerful Desolate Beasts are capable of fight. It's a matter of Cultivation. For humans, the Realm beyond the Xiantian Profound Realm is when we are capable of flight.” Lily replied.
“Oh really?” I mused.
I started gathering the wind around my body and converging it towards my feet. Under the awe filled eyes of Lily, I stepped off the branch we stood on.
I was now floating on air right in front of Lily.
“I guess rules don't apply to you.” Lily dumbly said.
I laughed.
There were at-least 20 5th Houtian Realm Dan in the vicinity. But on the way here, Lily mentioned how she could help advance my Cultivation. Ferocious Beast contained their physical energy in their blood. Much like humans in The Houtian Profound Realm do. Since Lily could control that energy, she suggested that we kill all the Ferocious Beasts and collect the blood. She would then condense the blood into a pill so I could absorb it. Compared to Dan, absorbing vast amounts of Ferocious Beast blood was better.
Of course, I was only able to do this with Lilys help. Drinking vast amounts of Ferocious Beast blood was poisonous for normal Cultivators. The Bloodline Lily had filtered and cleansed the Ferocious Beast blood, making it suitable for human digestion.
With Jasmines new calculations, it would now take just over 2 days to get to The Xiantian Profound Realm.
I didn't know just how many advantages I had compared to normal Cultivators of this world, but I knew they were substantial.
But the scene I saw next completely overwhelmed me.
Lily activated her Bloodline. Her aura became serene and divine while her eyes turned blood red. All the activity, mayhem, killing, screams and wails; they all stopped.
Every single creature turned to look at Lily with complete reverence in their eyes. They all had expressions that looked almost human. As if they were being controlled by a single entity, they stopped what they were doing and all walked towards us in an identical formation. They all stopped in front of the tree we were standing on.
Every single Ferocious Beast, in the exact moment, with the same rhythm and cadence, cut their throats.
“Remember to take their Essence.” Lily said in the most beautiful and divine, yet expressionless voice.
Rivers of blood was gushing out from their throats, but they didn't seem to mind in the least. It seemed in their last moments, they wanted to imprint Lilys image in their minds. As the light dimmed from their eyes, an all accompanying peace emanated from their bodies.
They all died standing.
The rivers of blood slowly congealed and oozed wards Lily. Bubbling, the rivers of blood slowly started making its way up the and started condensing together in front of Lily.
Meanwhile, I was busy collecting all the Essence flowing out of the Ferocious Beasts bodies. Since they had all grouped in front of us, it was relatively easy.
After a few minutes, I had created over 80 100% pure Essence Relics. 60 went to Lily while I kept the Essence of the 20 remaining floating around me. Lily suggested that I take both the Blood Pill and the Essence at the same time. It should have a culminating effect.
Then I felt my body change. It was subtle, almost indistinguishable from my previous state, but something had changed.
“What happened Jasmine?”...I didn't get an answer.
“Here Cesar... The Blood Pill is complete.” Lily said as she handed over a blood red circular pill. It was slightly glowing. The outer shell of the pill was crystal red. The inside however, was almost an orange red. The orange red inside seemed to be liquid because it moved and swirled.
As I was about to take the pill and take in the Essence, Jasmine said [I created a catalyst for what's about to happen. That Blood Pill combined with the Ferocious Beast Essence is valuable beyond compare. Cesar my friend, Lily has just given you the encyclopedia of Ferocious Beast DNA. How can I not take advantage of that.]
As I took the Blood Pill and absorbed the massive amounts of Ferocious Beast Essence, an evil laughter that could have only come from a mad scientist rang in my head.
[Oh...This is going to be so much fun.]
