Mystel POV :

Today, like every other day for more than 700 000 years, we are waiting for our child to be born; for 700 000 years Arsal and I have been continuously pouring our mana into her body so that she may resist my power.

One error may cost her life, we can't afford to lose her; even if I have to sacrifice my life I won't let her die...

1 year later

Today, like every day, we poured our mana into her body, but something happened, her conscious awoke too early and her power started going on a rampage. If she continues like that, she may destroy her body which is still mortal and weak.

If her soul can't control her power, we have to send her somewhere where she won't be able to use her magic, at least until her mind has developed. I asked Arsal, for him too it was a shock...she is so close to us yet we have to send her somewhere, it was as if we were abandoning her...

We chose to send her to our newest world; a world without magic but where technology is developing faster than in any other world, while Arsal was making a body strong enough to support the pressure of her soul, I was choosing her caretaker; as if I would let someone take my daughter away from me!!

Her caretaker had to be wealthy because I don’t want her to be hungry; she has to be kind and maybe religious, being religious, she’d know how to live rightfully and wouldn’t mistreat her; and finally she had to think of her as her real daughter.

I located a woman which possessed all the assets for this job, I used my magic to manipulate her mind and make her go to the orphanage tomorrow to adopt her...

Arsal was finally done with the human body, I have to give birth to her so we can extract her soul, in my current form, it was pretty easy to do; I saw how humans suffer while giving birth, but for beings like us with no form, it is a child play.

While I was giving birth, Arsal was linking her soul to the human body; he made a security link to her true body so that if she were to die, she would escape the reincarnation cycle and come back to this body.

When we were done, her true body changed into a human one... she looked soooo frail and cute, from now on she is our daughter and our star... we chose to name her Shinael, it mean 'Twinkle Star' in our language.

There was no time left, now we have to send her to the orphanage where she will be adopted... In this world, she will be named Shina; Shinael is a strange name for human, even Shina is strange but I want her to at least bear the name we took all those years to choose.

We had to let her go now, tears couldn't stop dropping from my eyes... behind me Arsal was crying too, within the eternity we spend together, I never saw him cry once, this shows how important she is to us...

Mystel : "Twinkle Star... my little star, may you shine on for all eternity... and as you look up to the sky, know thy parents are watching over you..."

On those words, I sent her to that world... For all those next years, we will watch her grow up while embracing her true body and my feeling of wanting to live together with her...

4 years later

4 years passed since we sent her, today like every day, we have to watch her being tortured by her aunt and her family since her mother died while holding her true body in a human form.

What is the most painful thing for parents, is seeing their children suffer and being unable to do anything to help them, today as always I was watching her crying and begging them to stop...

It is then that it happened; her body started emitting a greyish aura, human eye's couldn't see it; but we knew what it was, it was the proof that her soul now controlled her magic, it was now time to bring her back.

Arsal immediately went into this world to destroy it, this world which made our daughter suffer like hell, we hated it; we knew that there were many humans like her mother which deserved to live in this world; but we just couldn't bear to let the world that made our daughter suffer so much continue to exist like nothing ever happened...

As the silver fireball of Arsal came down upon Earth; I brought Shinael's soul back, she is finally back, my little star...

Mystel : "My cute child, I’ve waited so long to finally meet you..." I whispered into her ears while I was crying...

Arsal : "Is she finally awake?"

Mystel : "Yes, she is finally awake!" I almost yelled

Mystel : "But you are late you know! Did you finally destroy it?" I asked with a cold voice, I wish I could have done it myself

Arsal : " Yeah, we should have sent her to another place, somewhere else that had less of those disgusting beings "

Mystel : "After all this time, we finally have a daughter, Come on don't scare her !" I told Arsal, he is her father, he should at least try to control his speech... geez

Arsal was stroking her hair, it had become a habit for him, which he trained for many years on her true body.

She tried to say something, but it ended with a 'Bauuuu...’ she is soooooo cute!!

She was now rubbing her eyes and trying to stay awake.

Arsal : "She must be tired" he said as he handed her back to me

Mystel : "It's time to sleep honey, don’t worry, mommy is next to you" I said as she went asleep in my arm.

Arsal went to make a whole dimension for us and made a house there, we still have many things to tell her but it will have to wait tomorrow. For now we will all sleep together there and tomorrow, we will tell her the truth...

When we woke up, we went out of the room and tried to not wake her up, we had to tell her the truth, but what if she hate us and didn’t want to stay with us anymore? What if she called us murderers for destroying Earth and every life on it? For gods like us, those things are nothing, but for her who lived there and learned how dear life is after losing her caretaker, will she be able to forgive us? I really don’t want to tell her? Can't we just hide it forever and live like nothing ever happened?

As I was thinking about what could happen, Arsal just embraced me.

Arsal : "She has a right to know, as a family we can't hold such secrets; you already saw many time what happened when a family hid things like that, they ended up split apart and completely broken; we have to tell her everything or else we won’t be able to live together"

Arsal is right, she has the right to know everything, when she wakes up we will tell her everything.

Arsal left me and went to stabilize the dimension; creating a dimension isn't so easy and this one is a lot harder because it has to be able to help Shinael to use her mana for training later.

I went back into the room where she was, she was awake and looked confused, her face was really amusing.

Mystel : "Hello sweet-heart, feeling nice? "

Shina : "Haiiiiii " she answered with a cute sound, ahhhh she is soooo cute.

Suddenly she started crying, what should I do? Maybe she is bored? I think baby begin to cry when they are bored, I just have to divert her, yes! Maybe a grimace would do the trick.

As I grimaced at her, I felt pretty stupid, but if it worked it would be worth it... but it was useless.

Maybe she just wanted me to pick her up, I tried to cradle her, but that was useless too, WHAAAA what should I do? WHAT SHOULD I DOOOO???

Maybe if I throw her it will amuse her? Maybe I should use magic, to make her fly. As I made her fly through the sky, she stopped crying and was smiling, I relaxed, but it only lasted a moment and she started crying again, I don’t know what to do anymore...

Arsal : "Is there a problem?" I didn't even hear him enter the room

Mystel : "I don’t know, she is crying since she woke up..." I answered weakly, trying not to cry

Arsal : "Did you perhaps forget to feed her?" I felt as if a planet had fallen on my head, it hurt a lot and give me a strong headache...

I brought her to my breast and started feeding her, at first I could feel her getting embarrassed, but after a few moments she relaxed and started drinking normally.

When she finished, I brought her back to the bed; it was now time to tell her the truth

Mystel : "Arsal, don’t you think it's still too early to tell her, maybe we should wait a few years before telling her that."

Arsal : "Mystel, she has the right to know who she is and what happened, we won’t be able to live like a family if we hide secrets from each other..."

Mystel : "You’re right... It's just... I‘m afraid of how she’ll see us after that..."

Arsal : "It's gonna be alright..."

Mystel : "Please listen well Shina, your father and I are what you would call in your world...Well the most exact thing would be Gods."

Shina : "Hauu?..." She was confused, well I suppose after coming from a 4 year olds body into a child’s body and being told that you are the daughter of two gods would confuse anyone.

Arsal : "What your mother said is half right, we are the ones who made the world in which you lived, and at the same time destroyed it... You remember seeing a fireball before seeing us, it was my deed."

Mystel : "The first time I held you, you remember what I first said? That I had been waiting for you for a long time... For approximately 700 000 years"

When I said 700 000 years, I saw her doubting what we told her, after all it is really a long time and even more for someone as young as her.

Mystel : "You can’t remember anything from those years because you didn't possess a conscience then, you were a baby in my womb until four years ago, in order to get a child your father and I had to constantly transfer a lot of power in order to make sure you didn't die.

The two of us are the origin of all things and as a baby you couldn't resist all our power. But four years ago, we knew you would be born soon, but as your conscious awoke, your power went on a rampage and we had to send your spirit live in another body until you could think properly.

We made a body for your soul and send you to our newest world, the one you were living in."

Arsal : "But your power was interfering with ours so we couldn't manage the world anymore, it was a new world and needed many changes but if we tried to interfere, there would have been damage to your soul. We were watching you grow up and waited for an opportunity to bring you back."

Mystel : "We saw what happened with your foster family, we already knew how human could be and that they would bring their world down, but we didn't expect them to go so far as to hurt you.

I know you may think that we abandoned you, but we needed to let you go, in order to let you live..."

With this, there were only one thing left, but it will be left for later, I at the same time feel free from a burden, but am afraid of how she will react, what if she rejects us and doesn’t want to see us anymore? As I think of this possibility, tears come out of my eyes, I couldn't stop crying... until she wiped them away with her hands and patted my head.

I couldn't believe it... she was going to forgive us for everything we did; as I stared at her, no words came out of my mouth, my body acted on its own and embraced her carefully and my tears became tears of joy...

There are still many things she has to learn and it will take her many years to learn how to use her power; but we don’t have enough time, when her body and her soul start merging, we will have to train her so that she will be able to resolve any problem she come across when that time will come. I wish we could be by her side forever but for now our limit is only 5 years... Merging should start in 4 years, so it will leave only one year for training but it should be enough, after all 'he' will be there to take care of her...
