Two weeks passed since I joined this school, after what happened on my second day, Fiona is following me like a baby chick; she is always walking at my side smilling and eating together with me and Estiel which by the way get along with.

She told me that I am her first friend, she told me that she was something like a variant; apparently the royalty of Aorlan are blackwolf demihuman; both her mother and her father are blackwolf, however she was born as a redwolf demihuman.

She is physically weaker than others demihuman and was rejected by her father, sisters and brothers; only her mother loved her, before passing away some years ago from a disease. Her mother was the best archer in their country and she was the one who taught her archery; she think of it as the legacy of her mother.

She was officially sent to this school as Aorlan's princess, but the true is that she was exiled; they are just trying to keep her as far as possible from them. She also told me that she was bullied by her family and even after being send here, it was human's turn of bullying her.

When I asked her why human hated demihuman, she told me that demihuman are the most recent race, they started to appear 2000 years ago and were considered as animal and used as slave by almost the whole human race.

They are hated by humans and angels; but they get along with nature related race like elfes with who they live in harmony; and with demons which are a pretty peaceful race, even if they are always fighting humans and angels to survive.

It seem that they began to get an higher social standing 1000 years ago, after the return of an hero who managed to defeat a Demon King; the hero's best friend was a demihuman and tried to help all the others demihuman; it was also with his help that the country of Aorlan was founded with his friend's son as their king.

I learned from History class that everyrace think the world was made by the three Primal gods; Verlox told me that nobody else than him in this world know my parents existence.

I also learned in Geography class that the continent why are living in is divided in 6 country; the country I am currently in is named 'Holy Kiel', it is an human country founded by an hero; it is a small country, but it was a lot bigger in the past.

It seem that they gave a lot of their land to the demihuman so that they can built their country, they also lost a lot of their land in many wars againsn't the empire Theristid.

The second country is the empire Theristid, it is one of the most powerful country in the continent and is also an human country; in 'Holy Kiel', slavery is forbidden, however in Theristid it is a business and play a huge role in that country economy. It is also the place where the Church of Light, venering the Goddess of Light Eskiel.

The third country is the Friesel, it is a land full of ressources and habited by elves, fairy and many other magical nature loving race; it is managed by the Fairy Queen along with the elve royaltys. It is a country coveted by Theristid because of their untouched forest and mines.

The forth and only country which can hold face to Theristid is 'Delia'; the country of demons, demons are a race born with a lot of mana and are strong wizard, they are fewer than others country, but are individually stronger than others race.

The last country is Aorlan; the kingdom of demihumans, it is situated between Holy Kiel, Theristid and Delia. They are often raided by human bandits and slaver, but many think it is on Theristid's order to get more slave. They are the weakest country and are actually in a difficult situation with Theristid who may try to invade them at any moment.

Today last class was mathematics, the maths they taught us how to do simple addition and substraction; it was really easy for me, after all I finished highschool study on Earth.

I was on my way to the magic classroom, Faust called to pass the magic classement test of all four elements; other student passed it last year and I wasn't allowed to use magic before passing it... I only learned the incantation, how boring.

It seem that this world magic is about using the mana around you to form a spell, the mana is guided by an incantation which gather the mana and a mental image from the user to form the spell, the user also add some of his own mana to the spell in order to control it, the more you add your own mana, the stronger the spell will be.

I arrived at the room followed by Fiona and Estiel, they wanted to observe my test, by the way Estiel is better in fire magic in which she is at D rank and E rank at all others while Fiona only managed to use Earth magic to E rank.

Faust was already there waiting for me, he asked to put my hand on what looked like an orb.

Faust : "Place your hand on this orb, it will read your mana and it's glow will tell us at what magic you are the best."

I placed my hand on the orb and it suddenly shattered, it surprised me and almost left a cry come out.

Shina : " Is it broken?"

Faust : " Mmmh, it is quite strange; this one is quite old, that must be why it broke, wait a moment I ll bring a new one"

Faust left the room for a moment and then came back with a new orb; it was sparkling, it must be a new one.

Faust : "Try again on this one, it should be alright"

Shina : " Is it really safe? It won't break like the other or explose right?"

Faust : "Haha, don't worry, this device never exploded before so it won't start today."

He took my hand and placed it on the orb; however the orb didn't shine, there was no effect.

Faust : "It is really strange, try to concentrate your mana into the orb"

I gathered my mana in the orb and it started to glow, it was a bright, or at least that was what I thought; in reality the orb just exploded and I was thrown into Fiona and Estiel

. It was a luck that the orb was made with magic and that it's physical form vanished only leaving the explosion strenght.

Fiona : " * Awwwwh * Shina...why are stars flying around? " She asked looking dazing.

Estiel : " Idiot, can't you make the difference between stars and penguin?! " Replied Estiel, trying to get up but instantly lost balance and fell.

What are they talking about? I think they must have hit their head; otherwise they just went crazy.

Shina : " Hey Faust, you assured me it wouldn't explode !" I yelled to him, he managed to protect himself in a shield

Faust : " I don't what happened, two time isn't a coincidence; I think your hability can't be mesured that way. I can only gauge your rank by your ability, just try to cast the four basic spells, I will give you a rank based on their strengh."

I moved the now unconscious two girls againsn't the walls and came back to Faust.

Faust : " Let's start with fire magic, you know the incantation right?"

Shina : " Of course, Spirits of fire, join your strenght together with mine and destroy my enemy, Fireball "

A blue fireball with a silver flame at it's center appeared above my hand, it was like the one I made when I did my magic training with dad.

Faust : " A blue fireball? I researched many news magic in my life, but I never saw anything like that, it seems that your magic is special; please try others magic too. "

I made my fireball disappear and casted another spell.

Shina : "Spirits of water, join your strenght together with mine and clean this world, Water Ball "

This time a pure blue transparent waterball appeard above my hand, it was glowing with the daylight.

Faust : "I-I see, try some wind magic then." Said Faust with a surprised face.

Shina : "Spirits of the winds, join your strenght with mine and remove any obstacle, Wind Ball "

I could feel something above my hands, but there was nothing; as I concentrated on that feeling I sensed an invisible ball of wind.

Faust : " This time it's an invisible wind, try some Earth magic now !" He said in a now excited face.

Shina : " Spirits of the earth, join your strenght with mine and crush everything on my road, Earth Ball "

A brown rock formed above my hand, Faust seemed to be disappointed.

Faust : " A normal rock... it seem that Earth Magic is your weakest element; now the main problem, I don't know what rank I can give you, those magic seems to be high rank so I should give you a S rank at every other than Earth magic, however giving such an high rank to a 5 years old new student may seem suspicious to others. I can only give you a B rank for now, you will have to wait a few years before you can reach S rank. Give me your bracelet for a moment. "

I gave him my bracelet, he muttered something in a weak voice and my bracelet started shining, it was now a silver bracelet.

Faust : " I updated your bracelet, check by yourself." I took back my bracelet and checked my statut

Faust : "I would like to give you a golden bracelet, but the rules say that you need to have a B ranked sword style along with a B ranked magic."

Shina : " I just need to pass my sword exam now; can I stay here until Estiel and Fiona wake up?"

Faust : "Sure, but leave as soon as they wake up; we still need to clean the mess brought by the orb."

After Faust left the room in a pleasant mood, I went to Estiel and Fiona; I sat againsn't the wall between them and waited for them to wake up, I didn't expect to fall asleep myself...

I woke up feeling weak, I had difficulty to move my body but it also felt good at the same time; I slowly opened my eyes and saw the two girls playing with my demihumans part, Fiona was playing with my ears while Estiel had fun stroking my tail; she had a completly entranced face.

Shina : " Wh-wh-WHAT ARE YOU DOING?! " I yelled, the two of them fell on their butt from surprise.

Estiel : "W-We weren't doing anything special ! Right Fiona ?!" She replied, she plan on denying anything that happened...

Fiona : "Y-Yeah, we absolutely didn't touch your ears and tail and pat your hair..." ...I don't know what I should reply to that.

Estiel : "... Fiona, I should teach you how to lie properly later..."

Shina : " I agree..."

Fiona : " Why ? " She said tilting her head...

After trying to teach Fiona how to lie, without any success... we went to the stadium so that I can pass the sword ranking exam, it was teatime, the stadium was almost empty and everyone was at the cafeteria.

We approached Roy who was talking with a long black haired woman, she look 15 or 16 years old and have a tall and slender body, but if you observed her properly you could see that it is a welltrained one; she also got a strange black katana at her waist, I can feel something strange about it.

When we arrived near them, she looked at me and I noticed a little grin forming on her face.

Estiel : " Hey Veyna, what are you doing here? "

Veyna : " Estiel?...I was called by Roy... More important, introduce me... " She said in an uninterested tone.

Shina : " You know her? " I asked Estiel.

Estiel : " It's my big sister Veyna Kiel, she is the current wielder of Kiel and the one who taught me that move you remember? "

Shina : " Oh yeah, you told me about her; I am Shina Dragonheart, nice to meet you " I said smiling to her.

Fiona : " I-I am Fiona Shezil, n-nice to meet you." Said Fiona a little shyly.

Veyna : " I am Veyna Kiel... Nice to meet you... " She said, she then looked at me again and made a small grin.

Roy : " Did you need something from us? " Roy said a little annoyed

Shina : " I need to pass my sword exam, I am still not ranked. " I answered him, I wonder why he is angry.

Roy : " I see, then let's hurry, grab a sword and let's get finished with it; I got business to attend " He said in an annoyed tone, he then looked at Vayne for a fews seconds and looked away with a red face.

Veyna : " Wait... I ll fight her..."

Roy : "Su-Sure" He said a little red; is he sick?

Veyna threw me a sword and we took some distance between us.

Veyna : "Ready? " She said to me, I took my stance then nodded.

She looked at me for a moment then dashed at me; however she wasn't really fast, I can tell that she is holding back, is she underestimating me?

Estiel : " Oh, Veyna is going all out !" Yelled Estiel.

I dashed to Veyna and she made an horizontal slash to me, again she was holding back; I ducked under her slash and made a vertical slash to her shoulder. As she dodged, my attack slightly grazed her and she retreated. I expected her face expression to change; but she didn't look surprised

Veyna : " As expected... can't hold back... "

Estiel : " Wait... what do you mean by hold back?! You held back while sparring with me?!"

Veyna : "..."

Estiel : " At least say something ! *Muuuuh* "

Veyna ignored Estiel comment and dashed once again at me; but this time it couldn't be compared to before, she tried to hit my wrist with her wooden sword but I managed to block it.

I tried to to kick her leg to make her lost balance; she jumped to dodge my kick and returned my attempt by a powerful diagonal slash which I barely managed to deviate.

Before she managed to land, I made a spin and used the centrifugal force to deliver a powerful strike. She was still in the air and couldn't dodge it, she blocked it head on and managed to absorb the impact which made her land a few meters away from me.

Veyna : " Impressive... but time to end it... " She looked at me and made a small smile.

She positionned her sword horizontally at her left, I can sense she want to end the fight with her next strike; her stance looked somehow like one mom taught me. I positioned my stance vertically in front of my and slightly bent my knees, she waited a few moments trying to find an opening; I slightly dropped my sword to make her think it was time to strike.

She took the bait and dashed at me; in the middle of her dash, she suddenly accelerated and swung her wooden sword at a speed which would make it almost invisible to normal people. While she was rushing at me, I slightly stepped on the side and made a spin which gave strenght to my sword and aimed to a precise spot of the upper part of her sword.

It was a technique called 'Sky Piercer', it was a countering technique which dad taught me; it's aim was to break the opponents sword, it was easy she didn't intend to dodge it, she wanted to fight my attack head-on.

When our swords collided, the two of them broke; the battle wasn't over yet, I dropped the grip of the sword which was the only thing left from our attack and tried to punch her in the stomach. However, she deviated my punch and managed to get into my back, I tried to make a rotating kick; but she grabbed my tail and my kick lost it's strenght.

Shina : " *nyaaaaaaa* Wh-What are you doing? " I said in a weak voice.

Veyna : "... " There were no answer from her, but she was skillfully stroking my tail.

I lost all strenght in my legs and fell to the ground, she then started to pet my ears as well.

Veyna : " ...Cute..." She said with a small smile.

Estiel : " Veyna ! Let her go ! "

Veyna : " ...No. " The answer she gave was a simple one, but you could feel her determination behind it.

Shina : "L-Let me go *nyaaa* "

As I said that, she pushed something in my mouth, it is something sweet and familiar... it's been a long time since I tasted that... it's something crispy with chocolate chip... A COOKIE!

Veyna : " Behave... and I ll give you another..." She said with a confident smile.

Shina : " If.. If it's just for a moment... Pl-Please be gentle... "

Fiona : " Wa-wa-wa-wa-wa..."

Estiel : " Hey Shina ! Don't sell your body for a cookie ! "

Veyna : " I ll give you one too... so stay silent... "

Estiel : " Y-You can't buy me like that... Bu-But I want one... "

Veyna didn't let go of me until the next day, she even carried me to her room and forced me to sleep with her while she was hugging me... And she was still reluctant... But if I am sure of one thing, it's that she is really strong, she didn't even sweat againsn't me, and I still felt that she held back a little...
