《Heavenly Will》Chapter 22 - Face Off Against Xiantian

Qing Yun’s eyes gleamed. The primordial Qi was galloping like a wild beast inside his body. At this moment Qing Yun couldn’t help the excitement he felt because of his first fight as a practitioner, however he completely disregarded the bizarre scene inside his dantian.
The heavenly lighting that seemed dormant till now was finally showing some movement. However it didn’t look like it tried to escape from the green fog but rather trembled furiously in fright as if witnessing their greatest enemy after being washed over by several waves of primordial Qi.
If Qing Yun were to see this he would certainly be flabbergasted. The heavenly lighting would reduce even the strongest practitioner in the five continents to ashes in less than a second, but now what? It was reduce to such a state by a few waves of primordial Qi!
Qing Yun body flashed as fists shadows showered over his two opponents. As he still didn’t learned any martial arts he could only use brute force to suppress them. Even so he still had the advantage as he pushed his opponents back step by step. The two of them felt helpless in front of Qing Yun’s relentless barrage of fists shadows. They knew they wouldn’t be a match for Qing Yun after witnessing his previous feats.
The onlookers were already nub to this. They could only smile bitterly at the scene unfolding before them.
Su Fen looked at Qing Yun before turning to Tao Lin with a savage smile.
“You.. Su Fen.. What do you want to do?!” Tao Lin stuttered, his previous prideful face was now filled with dread. He looked at his two subordinates that were pushed back by Qing Yun and knew that he was in quite a bind.
Su Fen spoke no words, he just walked towards Tao Lin as his aura surged with killing intent.
“Su Fen, if you kill me the Su Clan will be eradicated by my Bloodstone Mercenaries!” Tao Lin was at his wit’s end. As a 5th layer Houtian practitioner he should be able to defeat Su Fen. However he couldn’t even circulate his Qi in front of the later how would he put on a fight?

The onlookers shook their heads at this scene. Was Tao Lin an idiot? He actually dared to utter such threats now? It was clear for everyone here that Qing Yun and Su Fen didn’t fear them now that that the events escalated to this point. Although no one thought that the Su Clan would be able to fend of the Bloodstone Mercenaries it may not be the case for this mysterious youth.
After Qing Yun show of might, they all believed that his cultivation should be at least at the 8th layer of Houtian. What kind of notion was this? Didn’t that meant that Qing Yun might be able to breakthrough to Xiantian before he turns sixteen? Everyone broke in cold sweet thinking about this. Was this youth even human?
Su Xiuying was acclaimed as the brightest genius in the Tianlong City when she brokethrough to the 4th layer of Houtian at sixteen. Back then the whole city was sent into an uproar due to such a monstrous genius. Many were discontent with Su Clan for being able to produce such a genius. But how could she compare with this youth. Everyone’s eyes followed Qing Yun’s silhouette as they tried to guess this mysterious youth’s background.
Towards Tao Lin’ threat, Su Fen didn’t show the slightest ripple. The Qi inside his body surged as he shoot a fist towards Tao Lin’s dantian. He already made up his mind, now that he got the chance he would kill him no matter what.
“Kid, you dare!” Suddenly, an angry cry reverberate throughout the hall followed by a boundless aura of Xiantian that shoot towards Su Fen’s back.
Su Fen seemed to have sensed the sudden attack as his face had gone ashen, however his will didn’t wavered. His fist landed on Tao Lin’s body sending him flying several meters into air before landing heavily on the ground.
Gurg
Tao Lin coughed out a mouthful of blood before his consciousness faded into nothingness. Seeing his bloody figure, Su Fen smiled as a weight was finally lifted from his heart. He knew he didn’t kill him but Tao Lin’s dantian was crippled. Even if he lived he would’t be able to cultivate anymore. For a practitioner this was even more painful than death.

Su Fen didn’t even turned towards the boundless aura that approached him like a death god’s scythe. He just looked at the bloodied body of Tao Lin with a content look.
Qing Yun naturally didn’t miss the change in situation. His face became grave as he waved his hand and sent several Qi needles into his two opponents bodies. They didn’t even had a chance to register the change when Qing Yun’s palm landed and sent one of them flying. Without the slightest pause, Qing Yun’s other hand formed a claw and grabbed at the remaining man’s neck before lifting him up and throwing him towards the wave of Qi that shoot towards Su Fen.
Bang!
Gurg!
A bloody scene soon followed sending shivers down everyone spines. The 7th layer Houtian warrior was hit by the Xiantian aura and exploded leaving behind a bloody mist.
This happened in but a breath of time. The onlookers didn’t even had time to register the changes. When the boundless aura appeared they thought that Tao Lin was saved but contrary to everyone expectations, Su Fen didn’t choose to evade the sudden attack and crippled Tao Lin. When they thought that Su Fen was done for they were once again left baffled by this mysterious youth. Qing Yun decisive actions sent a dreadful feeling though everyone hearts. No one though that this youth, who at a first glance didn’t even appeared to be a practitioner, could be so decisive and cruel.
“Ahhh! Su Fen you bastard, if something happens to Lin’er I’m gonna murder your entire family!” An agonized shout resounded again before a large figure appeared inside the hall. His entire body was covered by bulging muscles as his revealed chest showed numerous prominent scars. The man wasn’t just big but he gave of a savage aura similar to that of a wild beast.
The large man body flashed and appeared near Tao Lin’s bloodied body. He looked upon it with a pained expression as he sent his aura to inspect later’s condition.
“Brother Fen!” Qing Yun already appeared next to Su Fen, “Are you alright?” He asked with a slight smile.
Su Fen had a grave expression on his face, “I’m alright Brother Yun, you really saved me this time.” He let out a sigh but it didn’t help his ashen expression, “However, we may be in for some big trouble now!”
“Do you regret it?” Qing Yun asked with a chuckle. He could understand Su Fen’s feelings. The man before them was clearly on a different level from the others. Qing Yun could feel the aura of Xiantian on him, and by his estimate this man should have reached at least the 4th layer of Xiantian. He wasn’t someone they could contend against at their current level.
Su Fen was startled by Qing Yun words before he shook his head decisively, “The only thing I regret is that I couldn’t kill that animal!” His voice was devoid of any ripple. As he looked at Qing Yun’s smiling face his countenance got better to as he felt a weight being lifted from his chest.
There was a new glint in Su Fen’s eyes when he looked at Qing Yun. It wasn’t gratfulness but rather reverence. Even though Qing Yun was younger than him, the prowess he showed today gave root to a deep respect in Su Fen’s heart. He wouldn’t even mind calling him Big Brother.

Journeys in the Fairworld: The Gatekeeper
Lindsey Fluger was only slightly past eighteen. There was nothing particularly special about her, save that she happened to be the right person at the right time. When Lindsey is asked to join an expedition to another world she makes the mistake of saying yes, plunging herself into a sea of perilous adventure and dark intrigue. Journeys in the Fairworld is a fantasy anthology series set in The Fairworld, a magical realm existing in parallel with our own world which is governed by a group elfin beings known only as “The Good Folk”. These mysterious entities work in secret to keep the peace between the myriad of peoples and nations which dwell in The Fairworld. Complex relationships and bitter rivalries emerge against a backdrop of constrained resources and conflicting values to produce a world of high adventure and tangled mysteries. This novel is technically already completed, and I am currently in the final stages of proofing or editing. As such, there may be a few typos and errors here and there. The final version should be about 130,000 words long, which I will be releasing in stages as I continue editing. I'd love to hear your feedback and comments! The Apocalypse Show - Dungeon Core
There were lot's of ways that people had predicted that the world would end. A few even had it partially correct. But how could they have predicted it would be a combination of the system apocalypse and aliens. Specifially aliens that wanted to create the equivlant of a TV show about the system apocalypse on Earth. Arthur woke up with a headache and the option to create a character. Most people would have gone with the safe choice and selected to stay a human. Arthur suspected that wouldn't be the safe choice in his new world. Instead he decided to see what other races were available. Eventually he decided to become a dungeon core instead. Of course being a dungeon core comes with a number of challenges. Starting with the fact that he was a giant crystal instead of having a body, managing a bunch of unintelligent minons, and most importantly the reaction of his human neighbors when they discover him. If he can overcome these challenges he may be able to enjoy some of the benefits. Such as the fact that dungeon cores are immortal and he would eventually have an entire army of dungeon minions that would obey any of his commands. Perhaps even find some female companions that are looking for a safe place during the apocalypse. Warning: If this fiction was a movie I'd rate it R for occasional scenes of violence, gore, nudity, and sexual content. This isn't something you would find in the young adult section. This does not mean that this would be rated NC-17 or X, if that is what you are looking for try lewd dungeon.
