The red oni & blue oni, they speak Japanese fluently, I could have done their speech in beginner Japanese, but I felt everyone should be able to understand it, but I’ve used common phrases. If I ever do write some of it in beginner Japanese, it’ll be because our MC doesn’t speak Japanese.

I need a drink.

I ran my hands across its cerulean blue scales, it really was impressive, I wonder if dragons would feel like this in real life.

Fufu this moustache is quite humorous, it’s soft and puffy, a shame it had to die.

Still it was quite dangerous, it was a good idea to use my ultimate move on that goddess.

It was taught to me by my father, a master swordsman from Japan who left the country to marry my mother. My father was strong, but my mother was stronger, of course I’m the strongest, I’m undefeated under heaven you know.

I knew when I met that goddess that if I defeated her I would be able to follow red oni into the game, so I used [final secret art: dogeza] and she had no choice but to accept my terms. Well she gave me a die and said if I rolled 20 she would send me after red oni, of course this was well within my abilities.

That goddess was great, there was no way red oni would play the game with me, but the oni race couldn’t leave the mountain until they had gotten their class, so she was stuck with me at least until then.

I was also glad, since red oni was pretty weak, she couldn’t have fended off that dragon.

“Is your friend okay red oni?”

“Yes, Melon-chan seems fine. Thank you blue oni.”

Hahaha, she named it Melon?

*Thwack*

“You we’re thinking something inappropriate weren’t you? Baka blue oni!”

She hit me with her huge kanabo, ogres started out with a kanabo and a tiger stripe loin cloth without stripes, well it was blank and would gain stripes for the strength of enemies we beat on the mountain, we would also get our class based on the strongest enemy we beat. My tiger striped loincloth, well they were really more like boxers, turned white after I had killed the dragon.

We couldn’t wear anything else until we left the mountain, thank goodness there were on this mountain, otherwise I would have to kill them for seeing this sight. Since there was only the loincloth, which was more like a thong, she was covering her breasts with one hand.

I kneeled down started to stroke her mane, smiling at it, it was a young thing, the perfect pet for red oni, *sigh* she won’t play with me once we get to the mainland, all I can do is protect her, ah my precious red oni, I’ll kill anything that tries to hurt you.

I looked away, starting at the cerulean blue dragon; its head severed from its body, its colour was very similar to my new skin. What a pain, If only it didn’t try attacking red oni and her friend, but it was a dumb beast. Still it was a worthy adversary, or rather the system was limiting my abilities, still it seems skill trumps all in this game, no matter how big the stat difference, as long as I dodged every attack I could beat anything in this game, I’m an ogre with an iron club you know fufu!

“ne, ne, what dropped blue oni?

She looked at me with eyes sparkling.

“You can have it all.”

I traded her all the loot, I don’t need a thing if I have your smile red oni!

“Blue oni, there’s an egg here, I don’t need it I have melon-chan, besides it matches your skin.”

Ah you’re giving me a present, I knew you loved me red oni, such a cute tsundere.

“Mm, arigatou.”

*thwack*

“Don’t get the wrong idea, baka blue oni, it’s your egg already.”

Ah my precious red oni, only you and beloved little brother understand me.

“I’ll take it, but it’ll need a name you know.”

“Since it’s a blue dragon, why don’t you name it Seiryuu?”

Hahahaha, she really doesn’t disappoint such a bad naming sense.

“No, Seiryuu is a good strong name.”

Haaah today was a surprising day; it had been 3 days since I found Melon-chan and nursed her back to health. We were playing tag or hide and seek together, I wasn’t really sure, Melon-chan didn’t talk much, but she was such a playful child. We were playing in the forest outside the cabin me and blue oni had started in. Haaah, I don’t even know why we started together, my character was supposed to be completely random.

So Melon-chan and I were playing, when suddenly she started to shiver, and a huge blue eastern dragon flew down, it must have been the thing that attacked Melon-chan, I stood in front of her and shouted for blue oni. Since he had got here he was just sitting in the cabin since he wanted to know if he could feel sword ki, as if, that’s a club you know?

The ogre club was pretty good, it just did your strength value as damage and had infinite durability, truly an iron club to give to an ogre. Haaah, if only we weren’t both swordsmen. The dragon came for me, it was fast and fierce, but while baiting him, I jumped backwards, arching my back, I countered with all my strength. My passive red ogre’s strength was pretty good, and with it, I actually managed to break its horn and stun it, haha! Even if I’m not blue oni, I’m still red oni! I heard a rustling from behind and quickly turned to take a look.

Ah, crap he came really fast, I quickly covered my bare breasts with my arm. Haaah I asked for random but I could only wear this tiger stripped thong until we got our classes, at least there were no players or NPCs here, otherwise I would have to kill them all fufu. Blue oni honestly had the nerve to say ‘why bother covering them up’, that damn blue oni, mou we were only children the last time we took a bath together, I’ve grown up a lot since then!

With blue oni here I could attend to Melon-chan, she was shaking, still spooked, the dragon must have done a number on her. While hugging her to calm her down I got to see blue oni fight the dragon. It was amazing, unlike me who used the strength of my passive to beat the dragon once and was done for, he challenged it through pure sword skill. Every single attack from the dragon missed, and it was 10 times faster than blue oni, eventually he managed to cut its head off with a 10 thousandth strike to the same point on the back of its neck. He really is a monster, I was talented, but geez, how can it be possible to slice off a dragon’s head with a kanabo?

He came over with his first face on, haaah, even I had to admit he was good-looking, like the fairies had gifted him with a face simultaneously beautiful and handsome. His first face was cold and never moved, it was like this most of the time, it combined with his piercing blue eyes, though they were yellow currently. They seemed to see through everything, and stare into one’s souls, eyes that seemed to be filled with the knowledge of the universe. Only I knew this blue oni’s true face.

“Is your friend okay red oni?”

“Yes, Melon-chan seems fine. Thank you blue oni.”

Ah, his true face appeared, this was a face that more or less only I knew about, he had a smile on his face. The description of it varied from, the look of a tactician planning a thousand deaths to a delinquent about to beat up everyone in his school, my best friend had seen the face once and she fainted. But I knew the truth, he would get this smile when ever this baka was thinking something stupid about me!

His true self was a lazy idiot who only thought about chasing women and alcohol, he didn't even give his all to the sword, I might cry, I practice twice as hard and aren't a fifth as good as him. Even when cashing women and drinking he had that same frozen face, he only let go of his mask when it came to me. He bent down to stroke Melon-chan, ah she started shaking in more fear than when the dragon came for her.

“You’ll be a good friend to red oni won’t you?”

*Thwack*

“You’re scaring her.”

“Gomen, gomen.”

He looked at the dragon, I guess he was checking the loot.

“ne, ne, what dropped blue oni?

“You can have it all.”

Haaah, before I could say anything this baka blue oni gave me the loot, which was only two items but they were amazing. Mou how much luck did this baka blue oni get, I rolled 17 and I already considered myself the luckiest girl in the world.

The first item was perfect for me, a katana, and the second well…

Sword dragons while strong as any true dragon are both the weakest and the strongest.

Still I knew once I could kick him away, I could finally go have some fun.

I really wanted to take 1st and 4th off the list, but I didn’t want to spoil anything yet, how do you guys manage to pick out the MCs with such accuracy, I will answer any questions about the 3rd I feel like answering in the thread. Dw most of them will fall off top 10 but stay high in their respective boards. I might answer some questions about the Oni, but I won’t give any spoilers, at all!

tl;dr red oni girl, blue oni boy, girl get pet, calls it melon-chan, melon-chan was being chased by a dragon, girl manages to stun dragon while calling for help form boy, boy manages to slay dragon, both are now on leader board.

Other than that, this really will be the last chapter for a while, next one on the weekend.
