《With this system I will live how I wish.》Chapter 11- Stand-off

As we rushed out of the room I followed Jules as she knew where we were going. Feeling the wind through my hair filled my with a sense of peace, it had been a long time since I’d felt such a sense of completeness. As we run marines cast strange glances at us with eyes filled with bewilderment. However I paid them no mind, too excited for the new step in my life. As we walked on there was more open space and even a lake. We were headed towards an arena resembling the colloseum but bigger. There were multiple smaller stages, three mid-sized ones and a large stage. As we filed in we saw a young looking Akainu and vice admiral Momonga. As we approached I noticed some of the other guys looking strangely at us. They seemed to mostly be 18 this was the time the official training for elites would start. Garp never put us into actual training because he wanted us to have normal childhoods or at least our parents did. Well Ace was also a special case so we stayed at Foosha village. However Jules had gotten training so she seemed to recognise a few past senpai. They seemed surprised to see her here even though she was young and looked at me who arrived with her in curiosity but I also detected animosity from the guys. Probably my insanely good looks hehe, if they knew what I was thinking they’d probably rip me apart. As we arrived Momonga came up to us.
Momonga: Your late, rookies should always be on time since it’s the first day I’ll let it slide but don’t let it happen again.
Akainu: Your letting them off too easily cause of they’re backgrounds. If you keep that up they’re gonna think there hot shit. Look at the other rookies they arrived on time these immature brats shouldn’t even be here. The boy is completely untested for all we know his loose cannon of a Grandfather acted on his own whims.

The other recruits puffed there chests in pride and nodded enthusiastically at this. Unfortunately my mind tuned out the moment Akainu started talking instead I was busy trying to sort my unkempt hair it was slightly fizzy and I was trying to pat it down. When Akainu saw what I was doing he became incensed.
Akainu: Brat pay attention when your superiors and betters are talking.
me: you may be a superior in the marines but I am yet to enter the marines and your betters is a very vague term. My betters in looks, intelligence or being an asshole cause while I admit you are better at being a asshole I am your better in terms of a lot of things. By that standard even bricks are better than you at being a brick so what is it?
The other recruits looked at me aghast. Jules giggled at this and Akainu’s face went bright red.
Akainu: insolent brat, get in the arena, I’m teaching you a lesson.
Me: wow challenging a child not even through training yet to a fight while you hold the lofty status of admiral have you no shame Sakazuki
His face went bright red his veins popping out of his forehead. He seemed ready to cough blood at that last statement. At this point Momonga steppes in as a mediator.
Momonga: you both need to calm down especially you Jax. Your gonna run into problems in the future if you refuse to show respect.
Me: apologies sir I look forward to the next few years.
Momonga seemed content and Akainu siezed the opportunity to regain some face so he could seem less petty when he drops the matter but also force me to bow my head.
Akainu: seems like you do know respect you insolent brat.

Me: shut it suckazuki
At this moment he seemed ready to murder me right there and it took quite some time to calm him down. He eventually left, apparently he had been there to give an inspiring speech to rouse our passion to train and defeat pirates. That went a bit differently than what he was probably expecting but we soon got on with the introductions.
Momonga: Ok to start with, my name is Momonga and I am currently a vice-admiral. I’ll be taking care of your batch for the following years. If any of you have questions please feel free to ask and seek my help should you require guidance. We will now go around and you’ll introduce yourselves and say a bit about yourself.
The only person I recognised was Grount with his large arm brace. He stared at me with animosity and hostility. Soon it was my turn to introduce myself.
Me: Monkey D. Jax I am here cause Grandad said he wouldn’t feed me unless I joined the camp.
This wasn’t incorrect he actually had made that threat at some point and I had been worried but I would’ve come even if he hadn’t. The girls laughed at this and I flashed them a dazzling smile which earnt me a few winks. I then felt a sharp pain at my side and noticed that Jules was giving me a pinch to my sides covertly.
Julia: My name is Julia Trixan though that shall change. I arrived earlier to accompany my fiancé, Jax
She spoke coldly as her eyes swept over the others. Most of their eyes were practically popping out and jaws at the floor. After that all the guys stared at me murderously. I too was surprised she decided to outright say such a thing. I coughed once and Momonga was out of his stupor.
Momonga: well now that’s done we’ll have each of you fight so I can grasp your abilities and see the path I believe to be most suitable for each of you.

Magriculture
When Aurum Industries announced the first Full Immersion Virtual Reality Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game (FIVRMMORPG if you're hip) Limitless Online, most people saw it as an opportunity to live out their sword and sorcery fantasies. John, however, saw it as the opening of a new and as of yet uncrowded job market. One he was willing, and eager, to exploit. Determined to make money through virtual hard work and effort, John sets his sights not on the heights of magic or the perfection of the sword, but instead upon the tilling of the soil and the sowing of seeds as he explores the wide and wonderful world of magical agriculture all from the comfort of his own bed. Disclaimer: This is, at best, a very rough draft. I have already had to do one major rewrite and several minor rewrites of entire sections of the story, and it is a virtual certainty I will have to do re-writes again. Such changes may be as small as editing a few numbers (such as going back and changing how much mana an object holds) or it may force me to re-write entire chapters (this has happened once already, and I'm really hoping it doesn't happen again, but... life). Minor re-writes will probably never be posted here. Major rewrites probably will.Anyway, what this boils down to is: If you're looking for a fully cohesive story with few to no errors and publisher level editing, this is not the story for you. If your looking for a cohesive plot that's more than "Man farms, man farms, man farms well, man maybe makes money" you're probably also in the wrong place, but I will attempt to entertain you anyway.

A D&D Gamer in Garweeze Wurld
He doesn't know how he got here, and while the trappings are familiar, he doesn't actually know where he is, either. From the perspective of those around him, Duromar is a half-ogre barbarian, an uncivilized brute by any standard you care to use. But from his perspective, he's a character created in a gaming system. From either one, he must live within the rules of that system. This is the story of a gamer who ends up in a game that's just a bit off from what he knows. ---- I wanted to write something a little bit old-school. Most of the LitRPG I've found seems to be based on computer RPG styled stories. Progression through levels is fast, and depending on the game, skills and even attributes can be trained with or without class levels. This wasn't true with the older pen and paper games, and that's the style of leveling I wanted to write.
