《Path of Damnation》Day 5: With Knowledge comes Annoyance
Advertisement
Day 5:
I opened my eyes and yawned before gazing at the sight before me.
Kaiser stood there covered in blood. His gaze lingered on the being before him, the life on its face nearly gone.
A mere stubble of a body, with no limbs, a shadow of a face, no teeth, tongue, nose, eyes or ears remaining on it.
This was Lablitz, or the remainder of him.
Lablitz was making some incoherent sounds which sounded like a dying whale although much quieter.
For the entire day and night of yesterday I had become cold hearted and tortured (had Kaiser Torture) Lablitz, learning everything he knew.
I had learnt a good deal of information from him.
With the death of Big Red, the Orc clans had gone into a free for all war with each other trying to stake a claim for themselves.
This was amongst the most shocking news I had learnt today.
The most being that the orcs numbered over 10,000 in total and that the group taken with Big Red to fight Death had been a mere expeditionary group.
Also Big Reds name was Garghaz, but I had already figured this out ages ago. Nonetheless he will forever be Big Red to me.
I also learnt more about my location.
I was completely surrounded by mountain on all sides except one and that one side was the lake, so essentially a circle like square.
In this square, smack dab in the middle was a forest, to the north were the plains, to the east were the jungles and the west was the valleys. All of course complimented with their mountains.
So essentially a Mountain Plain, a Jungle mountain and a Mountain Valley.
How nice. (Sarcasm)
Within this area which I approximate to be 5 Kilometres long in each direction, there were several clans that I took note of.
The Elven Clan which numbered close to 500 and lived near the Eastern Mountain.
The Dwarves who lived on the Western Mountain and numbered close to 2000.
And the Human Kingdom which was near the entrance of the Northern Mountain. The humans were apparently the only force with the numbers to equal the orcs and had a army that was close 5000 strong.

According Lablitz the Northern Mountain after the Human Village was Dead Zone.
What is a Dead Zone you ask? Well it’s a region that even Big Red nearly died after visiting so it was deemed a place to dangerous to tread.
I wonder why?
The other clans included the hobbit clan which was allied with the Dwarves and Fairies who were allied with the Elves.
There were also lesser clans like the Goblins and lizard men which were wild clans and avoided by everyone aside from the orcs to whom they were essentially food.
There was also a rumour of a beast men clan. How interesting, I would look forward to finding out more about this.
Back on topic, how did Lablitz who was a warrior know this? Well apparently he had tortured a Tribal Scholar from another clan to glean this information, just like I had tortured Lablitz.
I learnt far too much about the orcs.
The fact that magic users were rare in the Orc Clans was one the things I learned.
More about the orcs included that there was over 200 Clans, with 9 of them being Prominent.
These 9 were the Grimshaw, Gargara, Black Tooth, Elf Hunter ( I laughed when i learnt of this one), Drago and Mount Doom, Infinia, Shark Tooth and Chaos Orc clans.
Grimshaw and Black Tooth possessed most of the land to the East and battled the Elves quite regularly. Even when Big Red was alive.
Gargara and Drago possessed the most land out of all the Clans and mainly battled the humans up north.
Mount Doom and Elf Hunter possessed most of the land and fought the Dwarves, which was incredibly ironic, in the west.
The forest was contested in a battle between Infinia and the Chaos Orcs.
Most of the orc clans fought each other regularly but they focused on their other enemies.
But Infinia and the Chaos Orc Clan fought only each other.
Apparently Infinia which was a clan full of smart orcs and magicians which was apparently a disgrace to the Orcs and the Chaos Orc clan took the job of restoring Orcish honour upon themselves.
The shark Tooth Clan who Lablitz was a member of, possessed or were trying to possess all of the land near the lake.

I was already tired with having to deal with 20 orcs, and now I learn that there were more than 10,000 of them.
At least I had a Kaiser.
When Big Red had died, the Orc Clans broke into a huge war which also affected everyone around them.
The Elves, Humans and Dwarves had made a Peace Alliance between them and the orcs slaughtered everyone including each other.
The Land wars between the orcs had already been settled within a few days after Big Reds death with the larger clans gaining everything worthwhile and forcing the smaller clans into their own numbers.
So even though there was over 200 Clans, there were in reality less than 10 to actually bother about.
Lablitz and the scholar he learned his information from were apparently both limited in what they knew as this was the sum total of what I had learned from him.
To sum up my knowledge would go as follows;
I lived in a square with 3 sides of it being mountain and one side being a huge lake.
There were 4 main races in this land, the orcs, the elves, the humans and the dwarves.
There were several sub races, the main ones including, fairies, lesser elves, lesser dwarves, Hobbits, beast men, goblins and lizard men.
There was a huge war going on. Mainly between the Humans, Elves and dwarves vs. the Orcs who were also fighting amongst themselves.
I sighed once I thought through everything.
I looked at Kaiser who was covered in Lablitz blood and then at Lablitz who was devoid of his own blood and looked like a deformed sack of potatoes.
MC: “Kaiser throw him to sharky” and once I said that Kaiser picked up Lablitz and carried him to the lake and threw him in.
Yes i named the ‘Lake Shark’ sharky. I will give him a better name when I find one.
Once Sharky ate Lablitz he swam away in what I thought to be happiness.
Kaiser watched Sharky go before depositing himself into the lake to clean himself.
He looked like a Greek god (without the tiny manhood) showering. If only his face was more human, he would have made every girl orgasm at the sight of him.
I looked towards my arms and had realized throughout the night that they had healed faster than I would have thought possible.
The rips on the skin were no longer visible, and the muscles even though still shredded didn’t appear to be hurting as much as yesterday.
I moved my hands and then looked back at Kaiser who was looking at Sharky who was swimming in the distance.
Because of yesterday’s events I had been distracted and now I was not even safe here anymore, as Lablitz had told us that he was a scout group to the main horde.
His superior orc would be coming with close to 100 orc within a few days to set up camp around this location.
One of their apparently many camps.
I who still had a lot to think about had no time to think about them as I had to find a new spot to house me and Kaiser.
Also apparently Gray orcs were just as rare as Red orcs according to Lablitz, also add the fact that there were apparently 6 Red Orcs out there but only 2 Gray Orcs.
I was happy that I had made Kaiser unique and I hoped to continue doing so.
I for the first time since the fight yesterday moved my body and began exercising to get my muscles to wake up.
After 5 minutes of doing so, Kaiser had finished his bath and he had begun to don the clothes he had taken from Lablitz and wore them, while I was given the clothes that became my size after a bit of tailoring.
My clothes covered my nether regions and little else aside from that. But I had a wolf pelt to cover my head and back.
I wore my clothes and a wolf pelt on top of it as Kaiser wore his clothes and his bear pelt on top of his.
I glanced at the forest and then back at the Lake before shouting a mighty ‘Good Bye Sharky’.
With that I moved into the Forest followed by my huge companion.
Our destination, the East.

Sanguine
The Coles are probably the definition of a small dysfunctional family, even if they weren’t the worst in existence; they would probably be lauded as an example of the term. The Coles were a small family though. The father, Oliver Cole, was an asshole ex-football jock who bounced around in small paying jobs after wasting most of his life drinking, drugging and whoring. The daughter, Stacy Cole, was smart, but had many issues including anger, trouble with authority, and occasional suicidal thoughts, and was kicked out of many a school for disruptive behaviour. The son, Mike Cole, was innocent, and tried his best to be kind to anyone and everyone, however his own speech impediment, and slow nature only aided people to bully and belittle him, including his own father. The Coles were indeed a dysfunctional family. At least they were, until they got to the small town near the border between the United States and Canada, Sanguine. Welcome to Sanguine. You will stay. With the exception of the first chapter, each chapter only follows one character. The first chapter is the only chapter in which I will include 'Sides' where it follows a different character. This is a short Lovecraftian story, it won't go above seventeen chapters. Note: the book cover is my first attempt, it might not even remain like it is, I was just tired of seeing the standard 'no cover' thing on it.
